Not really. The Kikuchi score sounds kind of too retro in the beginning but gels in quite nicely later on. Faulconer score is so off-putting at times as the background music keeps playing in scenes where silence would have been more suitable.
for reals i grew up watching the Japanese and i just finished the american version. I was so blown away from it! the Music is so much more fitting to DBZ than what what i grew up with. I felt like a kid again watching the american dub. The Japanese one is too quiet sometimes

There is ONE MORE variation that no one has ripped that needs to be ... the beginning of the episode Frieza Approaches ... the Ginyu Theme there isn't used ever after that. But its important you look on the 1999 FUNi dub for that because in the 2007 Remastered that was the ONLY episode they added a different episodes music track ... strangely it fit.
There was a Cell saga episode that played the Ginyu Force theme, don't remember which episode. I think Krillin and Trunks were talking to each other, or something.
It won't be too long now until we can hear that rare variation from Frieza Approaches. At least, that's what I'd like to think. With the tools we have nowadays, all we'll need is to figure out how to remove the SFX

Weak? Captain Ginyu in base form was leagues stronger than even Goku with a power level of 120,000 vs Goku at 90,000. Goku had to us kaioken x2 iust to surpass him at a power level of 180,000. Don't forget when Recoome smashed Vegeta. Also Vegeta was scared of Burter and Jeice. It was only when he got a power boost that he decided to engage Jeice.

The Ginyu Force was epic! I find it insulting that they got defeated by the likes of Tien, Yamcha and Chaotzu. Even though it was filler, still bullshit. No way would they have stood a chance if Captain Ginyu was there. PERIOD!
