- Hey Knights! Come join us as we watch and react for the very first time to Meg 2: The Trench with the incredibly agile action movie star Jason Statham who returns as Jonas Taylor. We hope you enjoy our movie reaction to this fun summer popcorn flick! The first movie "The Meg" had a ton of fun and over the top moments that made the film truly enjoyable. It was such a fun time filled with thrilling action and adventure with some hints of horror.
The megs in this movie are massive! And we get a few of them!
"Meg 2: The Trench" continues the story of the prehistoric megalodon shark, so get ready to dive back in with us into the world of deep-sea exploration. This movie is packed with action and we have to say for the most part the visual effects were fantastic.
We hope you enjoy our reactions and commentary as we dive into how this movie fits into the shark thriller genre. Not only do we get more meg here but we also get more fun! I mean...Can it get any more over the top than Jonas Taylor fighting a Meg on a jetski? probably not but that is exactly what makes this movie such a fun time.
So if you're a shark movie fan there is definitely something to enjoy about this film!

“That’s what happens when you accidentally eat a Dorito vertically…That’s exactly what it feels like…” I died.
BRUHH, jason statham is a mood man... his acting skill is unbelievable. i have mad respect for jason statham, idris elba and denzel washington.
Those are some great names! They’re all so talented 😄
1:12, the opening scene is an homage to the first novel, and it's also a big middle finger to Universal and JURASSIC PARK for making millions of dollars.
Hahah whaaat, didn't know it was an homage to the book!! It was definitely a badass scene for sure!
Too bad they showed just how little they know about the meg or t-Rex since the rex was extinct like 40 million years before megs even existed😂. Yeah the meg and humans were way closer to living together than the meg and rex.
@@Tanx33im think nobody cares about it
@@OfficialMediaKnights the movies are based LOOSELY on a series of books by Steve Alton.
@@Tanx33 also, sharks are known for not being able to swim backwards. So wouldn't that meg die on the beach?
Fun fact:Jason Statham is a world class diver so a lot of people say these movies are just an excuse for him show off his diving skills
When I saw Jaws at a drive-in in 1979, I decided that I wanted to be an ichtheologist like Matt Hooper, so I went to my local library to read up about sharks. Not only would a Megaladon be impossible to keep in captivity, their descendants, Great White sharks are not meant for captivity. An aquarium in San Francisco tried to keep a Great White, but it had to set free after a couple of days. They need to keep moving and a tank in an aquarium gives them no space. They need to keep moving so that they can breathe in the water and carbon dioxide, which they release through their gill slits.
I saw this with my dad, he really enjoyed the first movie, and he was very sick with cancer by the time the second came out, but still it's a nice memory to have now that he isn't here anymore.
I’m so sorry for your loss my friend… no one should have to go through that
I legit had this three paragraph overly long winded breakdown of this film, and I didn’t want to be that guy so I’m just gonna say art is DEFINITELY subjective. Love you guys reactions! 🤣🤣
4:29 Why they have to kill one of the best characters in this sequel.
Apparently she died real life
@@wingzero7XNo, she didn't. They didn't say why she left.
Coffee and Megs & Statham = Great Morning ❤ Thanks Guys ❤
Haha you know, that does sound like a wonderful combo!! Enjoy your morning and your coffee ❤️
Love you guys, and... in Jurassic Park, the man is sitting in a Margaritaville restaurant, the man that grabs his margarita is none other than the legendary Jimmy Buffet himself.
I call this movie, the perfect example of nature again the forces of evil. Love every moment of it
Would love to see a lake placid reaction its jaws with a croc
Yes!
Adding it to our list! Thank you 😃
Wish they didn't kill her off screen. I really liked her and she and jason would be such a great couple 😢
18:10, yep, these are the same amphibious creatures we saw earlier. Nicknamed ",Snappers."
I've been binging your reactions all weekend, and you guys have without a doubt have become my number 1 of reaction Channels !! love your reactions guys, keep up the amazing and awesome reactions!!
Thank you for the massive compliment! It means the world to us. We are so glad we get to entertain you guys ❤️
I concur. I've been binging for like a week and they've totally won me over.
The giant octopus Kraken reminds me of the mutant octopus from IT Came From Beneath The Sea.
This movie is nothing but pure entertainment
Jason lifting a HELICOPTER BLADE by himself,...OK, Why Not! You two left off: "WHAT HAPPENED TO 'PIPPEN'"? He should have been on the Beach with the CREW at the end! Good review & thanks, now I gotta' buy the DVD & see the Entire Movie!
Even the avengers can't fight vs 3 megs, now Jason fight against them like he is a terminator
Hi Aria and Densie So happy your reaction to Meg too is Finally here !!!🦈🦈🦈🐙🐊 I really love your reaction to this one and to be honest both of them are the best made movies I hope Jason Statham makes a third 1 in future And I love how he was bad a** killing 2 more Megalodons and TJ Was also bad a** too he learned how to fight and swim and he made poison darts in his gun like jaws 2 !! Thank you guys for watching the movie :)))
Thank you for watching this with us and thank you for your patience ❤️ Glad to hear you enjoyed 😃
@@OfficialMediaKnights Of course I did , so happy I got to see your reaction to this movie finally 🥰🦈🦈🦈🐙🐊 Great job watching it , hope you guys watch another movie like this 1 day..
@@OfficialMediaKnights also Ari and Densie Just let you know Meiying It's the same actress from the first Meg movie she's now 15 and I was surprised that I was actually her from the first !!!
This movie is a masterpiece of shark movies ❤❤❤❤ Jason Statham is the master of action movies, his moves and fighting skills help him get the superior position of Hollywood ❤❤❤❤💪💪💪.
Finally, you guys are so sweet and beautiful ❤️❤️ Love you 💖 Have a good day 🥰 Take it easy
Jason Statham is a badass and just pure awesome! This movie was a fun shark movie and genuinely entertaining! Hope you enjoy our reaction!
Thank you sooo much for your support, it truly means the world to us! Have the best day ❤️
@@OfficialMediaKnightscan y'all react to MKX fatalities 😂
Another fun reaction! It's just a big, loud, brains-optional popcorn movie that's as entertaining as it is derivative. It reminds me of those 1970s disaster moves with an all-star cast, like "Earthquake," "The Poseidon Adventure" & "The Towering Inferno." 🦈
Other Jason Statham movies you could react to: " Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels," "Cellular," "Spy," "The Transporter," "Transporter 2," "The Bank Job" & "Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw."
Loved your "Twister" reaction, too, BTW! Other movies featuring the late, great Bill Paxton you could react to: "Near Dark," "True Lies,""Tombstone ,""One False Move," "Edge of Tomorrow," Trespass" (a 1993 treasure hunt movie with Paxton & Bill Sadler as firefighters looking for gold only to be hunted by gangsters played by Ice-T & Ice Cube) & "A Simple Plan."
Mean machine is another good movie Jason is in. It’s the British version of the longest yard.
Jonas Taylor is The Meg's Slayer
Unlike Jaws, they have several sequel books to base their movies on. I think there's like 4 or 5 books. I like this one more than the 1st one. It has what every sequel should, more action, higher stakes and be fun to watch!
Lol yeah wonder if meg 3 will have Jonas as a consultant on a reality stunt show like the book. It does bring "jumping the 🦈 " a whole new meaning. They changed a ton from the books already so hard to tell if they will even use the books for the next one.
Pippin is a menace!! Lol
If you like stuff like this let me suggest the movie "Underwater" from 2020. Wouldn't wanna spoil anything, best to go in blind. It has great tension, spooks, characters and takes place... under the water.
The Name Haqui is a Chinese word meaning "Angel."
this was fun to witness in theater
Pippin was the dog that got eaten in Jaws but he survived in The Meg....homage to the canines
My favorite scene is when Pippin bit the kraken! Such a fighter lolol
p.s. not sure if you guys notice it, bcs it's quite dark, but the kraken first scene, before it moved, you can see it open an eye behind the poor guy
I saw this last night on HBO and it was good, not great, but good. It could have been better if the ending focused more on the Megs, though.
Definitely agree with you on that, it would have been cool if we saw a bit more of the Megs but overall it was entertaining!
I love these movies and the way they left this one there could be more movies in this series, and I hope there are more.
That snake-like thing that attached to that guys diving helmet is called a lamprey. They’re a type of jawless, parasitic fish, that live in the open ocean as adults, but swim up into fresh water streams to breed and the young live in said streams for up to six years before travelling out into the ocean. Their main diet consist of blood as adults, but as juveniles, they filter feed microorganisms.
You should watch underwater with Kristen Stewart next. Its underrated
yeah MEG 2 COOL😄
Meg 2 was awesome 😎
that button is fighting a losing battle
I would love to see you guys react to 'Crawl' released 2019 and directed by Alexandre Aja (Don't Breathe, The Hills Have Eyes 2006) It is an extremely well done Alligator movie with a lot of tension.
love these movies!!!! You guys need to watch the transporter movies
You should check out "Deep Rising", another sea monster movie from 1998.
Fun fact : Jason Statham was a competitive Diver who represented Great Britan & England .
Great reaction!! Please do 'Equilibrium - 2002'.
Dinosaurs were unexpected but welcome.
2nd comment. This franchise is based on a book series, and there's 8 books in the series. I'll take 8 Meg movies
I keep forgetting this is based on the books! Let’s see where they can take this!
MVP goes to that cardigan button for hanging tight for so long... Respect ❤
You HAVE TO watch THE RAID REDEMPTION!!!!!!! PLEEEASEE it's such an incredible movie!! Best action movie of all time next to "THE RAID 2" in my opinion)❤
Love watching your reactions. You make me laugh so much
Thank you for watching this with us! Glad to hear you enjoyed! ❤️
Not just a trilogy it’s a 5-7 long book series
Best reviewers!❤
The dogs name was in jaws the dog on the beach
I’m old enough to have seen the original Predator in the movie theater. The Alien skull was just a tease back then and fans clamored to have it done. For many year it looked like it would never happen. When it did the results are uneven. There is lots of lore now but a lot of it is not fleshed out in the movies and some of it is (and should be) forgotten.
They had killed Suyin who was one of the best parts of the first movie… her little sass and over all charm was great in the movie… for me honestly it’s one of the reasons I didn’t enjoy this one as much as I did the first 😅
Thank you guy’s 😊 this was fun ❤
Ok, since you guys watched these 2, you should just bite the bullet and watch Sharknado 1 & 2. Yes, they're campy and ridiculous, but they were intentionally made that way.
Just FYI, what they came up with for Jonas to be able to walk on the ocean floor without a suit is theoretically possible. However, the pressure will react with any air at all, so no air in his lungs or sinuses. If there's even a small about of air in his lungs or sinuses, his chest or head would implode. The likelihood of being able to get all of the air completely out of your lungs is pretty low. If your lungs had no air at all in them, then they would collapse. So, interesting plot point, but it would never work, even if he was able to remove all of the air from his sinuses.
(At 29:10) You said it was a squid!
You’ve gotta watch 47 meters down (& uncaged) and The shallows!! I’ve been impatiently waiting to watch you guys watch it! LOL 😂
hilarious meg 2 : the trench [2023] film - first time watching reaction !!!!
Back with ANOTHER banger!
Is this a good movie? No
Is this movie awesome? BET YOUR ASS
Should try watching the beekeeper with Jason statham
this1 will be wild
(At 15:15) It's just a hagfish
Not as good as the first one but still an enjoyable movie
love too see you react to the sequel. The Shallows by black Lively is also a good shark film.
you guys should watch (underwater 2020) it's really a good terrifying movie about the ocean . hope u two reaction to it.
You also have to watch “Hidden Strike” with John Cena and Jackie Chan. This is a great movie.😊😊
Saw this movie last night .... And to me it was......uh. yeah ......uh.....ok....sure
😂😂😂 an interesting one
PLEASE reaction K-drama zombie ALL OF US ARE DEAD..or TRAIN TO BUSAN ...from Indonesia 🙌
about SuYin : Li BingBing has been affected by various diseases over the years, 2015 suppurative tonsillitis a severe infection in the throat in 2015, in 2020 she got another strange disease, mostly tired and eyes burning then better, then sick again, and almost impossible to sleep, and anyway she could only do 1 movie in 5 years
You guys should check out tucker and dale vs evil horror comedy it’s sooo good! 👍
The 2nd one was 🐕 💩. First was I liked it it was good, I saw a video where they originally had intentions of making it a Rated R I would have preferred that but they went PG13 to cater to a wider demographic :/
They gotta start betting on R rated movies more!
15:27 this species exist but they are not that large, they are king of like eels and leaches combined (but its not neither), they suck blood, for got the species name
This may be a spoiler to some people but I watched this one last night and my question is why does that person keep taking her little dog to the beach? Lol
Also after what happened last time you wouldn’t catch me at the beach or near any body of water
This movie was..... ok. The focus wasn't on the sharks until the 3rd act, which is a real shame.
It was more about exploring the trench. Megs are still front and center narratively but they don't show up as much because there is more going on. We also wished they'd shown us more meg attacks!
I have two movie recommendations for you. "American Werewolf in London" 1981 a horror-comedy. And "The D.I." 1957, black/white, Jack Webb. It is centered on a marine drill instructor in charge of a recruit mess-up who wants out of boot camp and a woman he meets but does not know how to deal with his feelings for her.
resident evil 4 del lago
1:59 well not this but something close, there have been cases many years ago where large trucks with tanks get in a forest and then start unloading toxic waste in a ditch, i like to think they won't do it anymore but as long greedy ppl exist its possible cause harder to expose then what they are doing in the ship
Liked and subscribed!❤ can u guys please do PIRANHA 3D
Will You See The Black Demon
Hi
Hey!❤️
@@OfficialMediaKnights how are you doing
im waiting guardian of galaxy 1 reaction
" Oh son of a bitch!"..😂😂😂
I love the first movie. It´s fun. But this one seems to be just overdone.

hey you guys !! love watching your reactions, especially Ari, i think i have a crush on him haha, please react to a movie called "The Age of Adaline" its a good one ❤
Thank you for watching this with us! Adding "The Age of Adaline" to our list 😄
@@OfficialMediaKnights thanks for noticing my request, by the way im a filipino 🇵🇭 goodluck ang more subscribers to come ☺️✨
Pls can you watch karate kid pt 3
2:47 I think your back is hurting cuz of two different reasons...
While the first movie wasn't 100% accurate to the book it was based on, it was certainly a lot closer than this one.
Granted, the _Trench_ book wasn't great (it moved at a snail's pace and half of it was more or less a rehash of the first book). But they might as well have just nixed _"The Trench"_ from the title altogether, because this film has virtually NOTHING to do with the book it's based on.
Still, I wouldn't call it the worst book-to-film adaptation ever (that right belongs to the _Percy Jackson_ movies).
Why u think it's very against the law today bc now we know why not to.
The airlock death was simply gratuitous gore and grief. Leave it to Hollywood. Best on Earth at making hateable villains, worst storytellers in history when it comes to Catharsis. Sure, butcher the protagonists slowly and horrifically. Oh, the one responsible? Make aure they get the fastest, least pain, zero fear end possible.
Bravo, Hollywood. Nice to know we endured the good guys being slaughtered in slow motion so the primary antagonist could be dead faster than they could blink.
Jimmy crack corn Christ.
Go BACK on strike.
At least they DID give us a beautiful callback with the hatch-closing scene. It's an actual sequel, a continuation of prior events. Props there, if nowhere else.
Fantastic reactions. Its easy to just sit and mug, but you two embody the best of reactions. You're invested. You're active. You have running jokes. Complimentary personalities. Chemistry.
Very glad found your channel. Content always a win here.

That means the world to us! Thank you for watching this with us. And yeah! Agreed. That death was underwhelming!
I don’t think she’s actually dead the mum, they just killed her character, I think she’s actually a Chinese diplomat
1:20, also, Megalodon and T. Rex did not exist at the same time. Megalodon would appear in our oceans 50 million years after the dinosaurs had become extinct.
Megalodon went extinct 100,000 Years ago during the last Ice Age.
3.6 million years ago*
why teh CGI got so bad in this one. evere window in the ocean is soo bad you can see evere single pixel
have to say, this is a stupid sequel..."let's go back down into deep water where a 70 foot shark will be attracted to us, and then crush us like an egg..."...wha?...
This movie was trash the first one was better
Shark movies!!! This movie had no right being so much fun to watch lol. Also getting eaten by a meg has to suck becouse your just sufficating and trapped within fleshy walls along side any other creature it has swallowed...blech🤮
Pretty much yeah! It’s the worst way to go 😂 This was a cool popcorn flick! The way they handled those Megs at the end was ruthless haha
Worst shark movie ever!
nice reaction guys! hope you guys react to Crawl movie! gator movie! that movie is good too! maybe you guys do crocodile week reactions
High friends! I highly recommend "UNDERWATER" to you two. Have Fun! :)
