@@FeelingShred aiming with a mouse is just always going to feel amazing because it’s so much easier to put the crosshair exactly where you are looking on screen, it’s really just about controlling the recoil. Once I started playing games on PC I was actually shocked how much better my shot was with a mouse, it really showed me how inaccurate a joystick on a controller is in comparison but I guess that’s prolly why they always give us aim assist on console FPS games to make up for that
@Jeremy It goes even further than that. Recently after buying a new laptop (with awful touchpad for mouse, compared to the fantastic older one) I started realizing that I could not enjoy Doom mods anymore (one of the few games I ever play because it's so damn easy to setup and small file sizes) Then I started noticing many modern Doom mods outright disable Vertical Auto-Aim Assist in order to "enhance realism" or whatever the fuck they think... I modded these files and enabled Vertical Aim Assist back again, and it makes the gameplay experience (in a Laptop specially) so much more enjoyable... I'm surprised that more shooters out there do not offer the option for Auto Aim like that. It's night and day. Whoever said you can't play shooter on a laptop touchpad is a fucking moron that does not know what he's talking about.
My favorite thing about the RE FPS mods is that they are just genuinely attached to the head of the model. So they move and bob around like you actually would as a human. This is something that is often either reduced because of motion sickness, or simulated which always just looks weird. But with the mod it just fits so naturally. I also enjoyed turning the heads back on (there's a setting for it) because it shows that the camera is literally being placed in one of the eyes. So if you play as Claire, her hair can actually get into your view, as it actually does with her model. Wish more FPS games/mods were like that.
You covered Hatred 1.666, respect. Correction, the game didn't have a black & white ''filter'', the game was literally made/textured in black & white. So the madman behind the mod literally colored the entire game. Also, crouch when in shootouts, then you won't have to play on Game Journalist difficulty lol.
I love Max Payne 2. Even though i have clocked it multiple times, i could do with an FPS run. Solid game, good story line and great mechanics for the time.
The improper gun handling animation and standing still when shooting in vice city can be fixed by installing a mod called manual aiming mod. Do note this might cause some other problems but honestly it's perfect if you want to just dick around and shoot people. Also GTA 3's latest fps mod is far superior to VC's. Makes the game actually feel like it was meant to be an fps shooter.
And one level has the "Antagonist" shooting up a appearance of "Cerny Benders" and his followers? This makes a certain Impression, coming from a certain way...
Nice video Gman. Quick note: Shinji Mikami didn’t direct the Evil Within 2. After he directed the first one, he stated he was retiring, focusing only on production. Highly recommend The Evil Within and another game Vanquish, which is the polar opposite of Mikamis traditional tension inducing action.
Nah. That goes to Hollow Knight, Ori 1 & 2, Grim Dawn, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Hellblade, SOMA or Dark Souls III. Metro Exodus is a really freaking good one in terms of atmosphere though.
The storms in exodus were incredibly done. Unlike almost every other game they were so punishing to be in and every time I'd go find the closest shelter I could. The dead city though... They nailed it
If anyone has any issues with older GTA games, like the mouse issues mentioned in this video, download the SilentPatch for the game. The guy even got it working on the RGL versions somehow, although it's better to just downgrade it to 1.0...

Cool. Now I can pop pills and bad guys in first person.
"...can't see your torso or legs which is a cardinal sin"
Fallout, TES, and hundreds of other FPS games: What'd you say?
you're not helping your case since Fallout and TES were fucking lazy for not doing that
One word for the bethesda games,
Mods.
@@Mr_Boss_Smile if anything the laziness furthers my point.
Honestly the only first person game in the past 2 generations of gaming I ever remember being able to see legs and torso in was dead island.
@@destynova4512 Couldn't you see legs and arms, shoulders too i almost forgot, in Farcry 3 when climbing ladders, knocked down, etc?
Whenever there's a first person option in a game, that's usually the option I stick wth for the entire game. I finished both GTA V and RDR2 in first person, only ever switching cameras when I'm in a vehicle.
Cool
16:58 SIN poster on the wall
gotta love how Gman always promotes SIN at every opportunity he can
that's integrity, folks
and what a bloody awesome game, loved it since the very first minutes I played
This video is just showing us the superiority of the first person genre. Pretty intriguing how every game looks and feels like it's more fun in first person. @GmanLives
and the superiority of keyboard+mouse
I appreciate that you talked about the skimpy, pervy outfits mods for Claire
Question Gman: If someone prefers Vice City Stories over Vice City, are they still dead to you? : P
Shhh don't make his head explode
Stories is pretty awesome with the empire system and that Phil Collins concert
numchuck - I want to see his head explode. XD
Pluto Smash - True dat.
I love vice city stories, planning to find a ps2 copy to play on the og ps3 model
Also, crouch when in shootouts, then you won't have to play on Game Journalist difficulty lol.
that max payne mod makes it look like you're watching the bodycam footage of Max as he mows down gangsters
I’d like to see a video of the reverse. Mods that turn First Person games into Third Person games.
"game journalist difficulty mode" hahahahah fucking great
"Cernie Banders" you say? It is as if though it reminds me of someone, but I just can't put my finger on who it may possibly be.
Lame person
I’m so glad I found this channel awhile back
Hatred is basically if Postal was made by edgy teenagers and taken too seriously
@MrDjBigZ bro you're a virgin lmaoooooo

@MrDjBigZ why you acting like this

I love Max Payne 2. Even though i have clocked it multiple times, i could do with an FPS run. Solid game, good story line and great mechanics for the time.
i didn't know you can increase the awesomness of these top games even further, fps view is the best
Yes but III already had some FPS animations in it
The one good thing about 2020 was I haven't heard or gotten that song stuck in my head. Thanks Gman.
The Max Payne and Resident Evil first person mods definitely caught my attention.
And so did the Claire and Jill sexy outfits. Thanks for that Gman ;)
That your mom joke never gets old. =)
Fps games, who knew they could be so fun in games they weren't there
Videos like this are fire. More of this and the VR mod videos please.
10:26 so we not go talk about that lol
As soon as I started the video I told myself he was gonna have the Hatred fps mod in it and I was not dissapointed. Love you G
Can we just talk about how in the hatred mod, every inmate is black?
it adds a layer of realism))

And one level has the "Antagonist" shooting up a appearance of "Cerny Benders" and his followers? This makes a certain Impression, coming from a certain way...
Oh yeah, political bias was laid on thick for this mod
Sounds like the modder leaned into the satire unironically to me. Kinda cringe.
Manhunt is the best atmospheric game besides Metro Exodus of all time even Gman would agree .
They nailed it
Dame Gmanlives, some LP bars in the intro NIIICE
"I pay double tommy, Double."
If anyone has any issues with older GTA games, like the mouse issues mentioned in this video, download the SilentPatch for the game.
The guy even got it working on the RGL versions somehow, although it's better to just downgrade it to 1.0...
I actually bought hatred way back when with the intentions of waiting for a mod like this. I would argue that hatred is postal except instead of postal dude it’s Bill Williamson (from rampage lmfao).
@@Largentina.
Same idea for different times.
Oh? I see no difference lol.
Man, Vice City, bit in first person. It's like you're in the game. Love it.
Dang, were all the prisoners for the Hatred mod black?
probably, if someone made a part where you interrupt a bernie sanders ralley, you can tell the kinda person its gonna be
@@Z1mm3rs i actually got hatred to try that fps mod a few weeks ago and i saw some models that looked like they were purely pitch black like they didn't bother to do anything with them since they had hats on it looked terrible and unfinished tbh and i ended up refunding the game because i did not enjoy it even in fps mode...the graphics in the game are terrible and it is much easier to see how bad they are with fp and color.
Got to make it realistic
Lmao this comment section is fucked up

First person Vice City looks amazing! Take me back
4:20 - 4:30 ---> Damn, that character model is looking mighty fine... (Is that just Claire with a sexy cop outfit?)
6:45 - 6:55
7:35 - 7:40 ---> Yes, maybe it's ASMR in an unsettling kind of way...
9:50 - 9:55 ---> Nani?! (Somethings are better left unsaid/unspoken...)
Nice, did not know about The Evil Within 2 first person mode. Thanks!
Vice City Pentagon steering wheels. Oh how far we've come...
Chaos Theory has a decent first person mod. You have to switch perspectives in order to interact with certain things, but the camera position looks pretty natural
You talking Splinter Cell? I've been looking for an excuse to play it again.
"But my gigantic, throbbi-" *cuts to an ad*
I havent played Manhunt in almost 15 years and I knew instantly in the opening where that level was from. That's awesome it has a 1st person mod.
Where’s the House Of The Dead Overkill review 👀
9:45 you literally made my beer come out of my nose xd
i found your channel today and already watched like an hour worth of game reviews starting with the disapointment of Serious Sam 4. (i really fell in love with ur content and the quality seems to be really high and steady across all the videos, at least what i have seen so far)
keep up the great work!
I just played through Red Faction Armageddon using a first person mod.
that game seems like it would be super fun in first person, it has some cool pvp arena areas
Whenever I’m bored asf and can’t find anything to watch I watch one of your videos and they never fail to entertain me
I've been living a first-person Hatred in my mind (obsessing) ever since I was bullied and had to drop out of high school, so to be able to live out my fantasies in a game is just *chef's kiss*
if your fantasies at all resemble the game Hatred you should *probably* seek professional help.
Cool!
I liked your "exclamation mark" of fans who aren't so much of Vice City fans. You are truly a man of culture.
Very Gamer
9:00 Actually, traces of an actual FPS mod can be found in Gta 3 PS2 files.
Eventually they dropped it off and ended up using it officially in Gta V.
The Hatred re-skin Is a skinhead lol
Just noticed all the prisoners you had to kill (500) were black, smh Lol
