And then, in the final battle, when she was keeping Lunamaria occupied. If she wasn't there to annoy Lunamaria, Lunamaria would go help Shinn fight against the Black Knights. Maybe she doesn't have a counter for the mind control. Maybe she does, but it fails. She went into the battle w/ Blast Impulse, which might be too slow against the Black Knights. The Sword Impulse is her best bet, but she's used to long-range weapons, so it's a mismatch for her skills. The Force Impulse is most likely to survive, but it doesn't have a physical sword, so it will have to take Sword Impulse's swords, but then we're back to the skill mismatch. But at the end of the day, this is all just a bunch of maybes.
Compounding to that, it may lead to so much uncertainty indirectly which worst case scenario being Athrun, Meyrin and the entire surviving Archangel crew’s demise. If Kira did indeed go down on that moment, it is likely that Athrun will be so overwhelmed with rage that he jettison the Zgok shell, seed mode and engage Shura with IJ2. If he can make a quick work out of Shura, came back to sense and retreat, then everybody else will survive. If the fight drags on, or Athrun is unable to regain his senses after killing Shura, then the ensuing nuclear explosion will kill him. If Athrun is unable to regain his senses, it is up to Meyrin to decide what to do. If Meyrin is unable to respond appropriately, then someone from the surviving Archangel crew will need to step in.

Strike Freedom IS nuclear powered, but those enemy mobile suits are BASED off Strike Freedom because some time ago before this madness happened, they stole it and copied its specs and designs. Also, even a nuclear-powered suit can lose power…if the systems it uses increased their demand. In a NORMAL fight, it’s MORE than enough. But when the enemy can read your damn thoughts, it’s a little bit different. The reactor simply COULD NOT keep up, as those enemy suits were BUILT to counter Strike Freedom. The ONLY WAY they could be beaten, is if you either INCREASE the reactor output, or do what Lacus did: give it a SECOND reactor and armament to counter beam weapons…and turn the fucker up to UNNECESSARY levels of overkill!

Put him against two or more Gundams or Gundam level opponents with pilots that know how to use them, and Jesus Yamato will be on the backfoot for almost the entire scrum. If Kira wasn't dealing with the side effects of that mind blast he would have taken out those Black Knights no problem plus Rising Freedom seemed like it couldn't keep up with Kira's power same with Shinn when he was in Justice said it himself Justice kept his full power back. You can tell by the way they fight how the machines move differently I like how the Infinite Justice was hidden inside the Z'Gok suit makes me wonder how did he get all that armor around it like if Kira was hiding the Strike Freedom in another Suit instead it being in An Orb Hanger
Compass is everything what Celestial Beings achieved and they couldn't. They lacked agressive-ness and decisive-ness that's why they couldn't stop any wars and conflicts. Whereas Celestial Beings are straight-up direct and ruthless. They simply wipe out both sides 😂

初見の人たちは劇場鑑賞してた時に、ズゴック登場で吹き出しちゃったらそれは仕方ないと思うんだ(笑)
私もこの時は危機的過ぎる状況に気を取られてたが、最後の出撃シーンまで「ズゴック出る！」だった時はガチで吹きだすのをこらえたよ・・・ｗ
