- In this video, we’re gonna talk about what happened to Michael Oher. Of course, his tremendous story was famously portrayed in “The Blind Side”. So, we’re gonna go over some details the movie left out, as well as what occurred after the movie, including Michael’s NFL career, the trouble he had with the law and how he’s redeeming himself, as well as his little brother SJ Tuohy's football career, and the football connection in his sister Collins' life. We'll answer the questions to where Michael Oher is now and what happened to his family.

Very inspiring man, I look up to him like a hero, a father I never had, the best friend that always uploaded a video when I needed it. But thats enough about chasechats. Michael Oher was a pretty good dude too.
What happened to Kalvin Benjamin?
This is funny. Lol
Yes indeed
@@engri9963 he was a beast at fsu! He went to the Carolina Panthers then idk from there..
they had us in the first half not gonna lie
I actually met the actor at a screening of the movie. He's a huge guy and super nice. Really good performance in the movie too. Lol have a nice day😂
IMO Quinton Aaron's performance made the film. He hit every note just right.
So Micheal didn’t act in the movie?
@@lejohnd2430 no it was Quentin Aaron
The One time a Movie is made about the Offensive Tackle
One more time than any other position
What about the Brandon burlsworth movie
Edit: never mind he was a guard

A great family helped a great kid and now that great kid is a great man who also helps others. It's a wonderful world.
This family will forever be intertwined with football
Imagine watching a video and leaving such a pointless comment
@@nvmm166 HAHAHAHAHAHA
😂
That's what the narrator said. Us there a echo I. Here
I watch the movie over and over to this day! Michael is an inspiration to so many! What a beautiful human being… And his family are just angels here on earth…
Thanks for the loving family that took Michael in gave him a great life, GOD BLESS YOU all
You built up his trouble in such a way that i thought you were going to say got involved with drugs or beat up a girl or something worse, but got into a fight with a uber driver. Compared to what other guys get into that was sort of a relief and he wasn't charged. He sounds like a really good dude.
Right! Like it was a drunken ruckus and a minor offence
Played in two Superbowls, and made over 30 million. That is damn good.
He didn’t make close to 30 million
Image if Michael would of just held strong and could of ignored the trauma of his past ? Where would he of been at this moment?
@@willbrown423 you didnt make even close to 10000 dollars so stfu
@@coolstuffaboutlife
Why are you being so aggressive?
@@willbrown423
He made around 34 million from his contracts.
Congratulations Mr. Oher. It seems like you've had alot more obstacles than most people. Give yourself a big pat on the back Sir.
We fall down but we get up. It's the getting up that is inspiring. Carry on Michael! C Berry Toronto
Agreed fellow Canadian!
A minor assault charge... Man, as much trouble as football players get themselves in sometimes, I brushed that off completely
he probably had a backflash from his childhood days and didnt realize he had money to pay the UBER driver
@@temujinkhan6326 yeah after going through what he did he definitely has ptsd
Right! Like there are football players who get in way worse trouble
@@CherryBlossomBlyue and get away with it 😤
It's an example of a good man who did a bad thing. Sometimes bad men will do a good thing. Wisdom is shown in knowing the difference.
Who else was trying to find Michael oher in madden and turn him into a 99 ovr but the blindside is my favorite movie
I’ve been to his house and we are family
Blindside is your favorite movie? Lmfao
No one

This was an amazing movie & I've watched 👀 it at least 15 or more times & I'm still emotionally attached as if I only saw it once, last week.
We all make mistakes. What's important is to get up, and keep going.
I'm really happy to see a young man have a successful life with an adoptive family who loved him...
And the movie was pretty awesome too..
As an offensive lineman myself, Michael Oher has always been an inspiration to me.
The man made 32 million in the nfl. That’s pretty damn solid
@anthony mazy I hope he is able to keep it and manage well.
Especially for an offensive lineman.
@@hlynnkeith9334 - You do realize that offensive linesmen are very highly paid. There are many making over 10 million a year and the very best are making closer to 20 million.
Probably only pocketed only 10 mil of that. Still a good sum of money if spent wisely.
Stop pocket watching clown.. What u want date him or sumn, start a family with him??
I've always loved Micheal:s story about 'Blind Side.'
Love this story! Great video chase chats! 👍🏻
Thanks Kama G!
Bless this family always
Also Leigh, Collins, and Miss Sue have banded together and started a TV program where they help foster kids who have families that want to adopt them but due to legal issues is being stalled. So what Leigh does is organise with lawyers to help these families jump through the process of adoption of the kids in the family's care. They also renovate some of the rooms in the homes to make the process of becoming one family easier. Some of the outcomes at the end is full adoption of the children or lawyers that are higher ranking helping these families for free and getting the process of adoption further than it was before
Thank you for the update. I loved the movie, and I read Micheals book about his life before the Blind Side. Great book I highly recommend it. We all have dips, n bumps in our lives. I truly wish Micheal the best in his future. WR, 🇨🇦🇺🇸🏈🏈🏈🏈👏👏🇨🇦🇺🇸🌈🌈

I just. Love the story , of his life , and the movie,
He wasn't mentally strong. Understandable from his childhood.
First Time Viewer; Nice to watch a video that isn't all about the negative in someones life. Good Job
I definitely try to keep things positive on the channel (while keeping to the facts, of course). Glad you enjoyed it!
Wish nothing but good things for Michael and his family.
Thanks for the update!
I saw the movie and always wondered what became of him....now I know...thanks.
This story is heartbreaking.

Gr8 to know Michaelʻs continuing as an upstanding man doing good for others!! Amen n Amen!
I'm a solid fan of Micheal Oher and his true story of the movie the blind side, It inspired me a lot. I never be bored to watch it many times.
I thought he fell of after ole miss and I was like dang he was getting paid good and he went to two super bowls and has a ring
I love this story. Blindside still my favourite movie!!! Good people.
GREAT story and strong people who came together and did great for their community and life.
The Blindside is my favorite sport/family movies. All the actors went above the call to make it
Thanks for inspiring people
I wish people would quit referencing the film when the book it was based on was WAY better! So well written! Granted, Mike did have issues with the film and his irritation is understandable, but a film doesn't always capture the fullness of a good read.
Books are lame
this channel looks like its going to be the next big time football youtube channel
That's what I'm hoping! Working hard for it to happen.
Was an inspiring movie, most of us know that most movies take advantage when it comes to facts. Still was an inspiring movie. Hopefully it encouraged people to take a chance with faith.
I think if he would’ve been drafted by the patriots in that draft his career would’ve boomed.. Dante scharnekia would’ve turned him into an all pro Hall of famer!!!
Great job Michael!!! You are still an inspiration to all. What to keep on keeping on.
Awesome job on follow up. Thank you!
I love this movie I watched it with my dad it was so good
same i wanted to watch it again with him but he getting milk … he’ll be back😥

Damn 30+ million dollars a super bowl ring that’s real good
Dude I know and speak to (the real) Mike quite frequently. He’s such a humble and nice dude. He lives here in Nashville, TN.
I watch the blindsided about 2xs a week ever since it came out. Because of that movie I have started a homeless bookbag fundraiser for the homeless and am thinking about opening my one room to someone who is homeless. Like in the movie you have to be concerned with opening your home so I'm trying to figure a way to do it. Michael and his family has inspired so many. Please tell him he is an inspiration to so many.
Interesting. Loved that movie watch it again & again. Blessings 2 the family
For what it's worth that is a very successful career for an NFL offensive lineman.
One of the best movies of all time
Go to 6:28 and look at the notifications. Why would you need to be incognito?
No. Just no.
I cried like a baby when I first saw the blind side
Every time I watch the movie I can’t help but cry
Oher has a SUPERBOWL ring(done deal💵👍🏿)let him live his life....
You got that Right! Well done! Dan Marino doesn't have one. What an end to a spectacular story for him! he can continue to live life and as far as others
Beautiful young man hope you're life is full of love an inspiration to me and all the disadvantaged kids in our world ❤️
Very intriguing and interesting thanks a bunch 😘🥰❤
Awesome piece
Very touching story
He was a key contributor to the Super Bowl team in 2012 and was very productive even if he played RT when Bryant McKinnie took his place at LT.
Holy crap I found another underrated channel
Loved the movie, Love this guy, an inspiration for all.
New Trier HS in Winnetka IL also had a "Michael Oher" situation when a student from the South Side of Chicago was adopted by a family along the North Shore. The entire state thought that New Trier had recruited him, since we already had one of the top players in the nation, and had a 6'11" kid transfer in to escape the Balkans War. Why else was a 6'7" African American suddenly playing for a high school with only 124 African Americans out of 4000 students. Turned out he was rescued by his best friend because both his parents had abandoned him. The Illinois high school sports body changed the rules after the courts ruled in the African American player's favor. He went on to Marquette University and coached some Division One basketball. The player who saved him is now a Division One head coach himself, having played for Stanford.
GOD BLESS YOU Tauhy Family...
Glad My Teacher Let us Watch This Thank You My Teacher Its Our Inspiration ☺️.
Awesome video!
Very good video - Thank you
He went to my school briarcrest
Yes,definitely. You are correct, Mrs. Touhy. There are a lot of foster kids in the foster system who are longing and hoping for an adoptive family.
Been watching their movie several times
The script writers took liberties when making the movie. He knew all about football. He watched the cowboys growing up. He would dissect the plays. Really study them. But his real love was basketball.
This woman is one of my life hero’s.
Thanks for sharing.
LOVE Michael n that Family!
I hope it all works out for him. God bless him.
This used to be my favorite movie 😃
Thanks, I have often wondered what happened after the movie! It’s nice to know he came back from adversity.
Michael Oher was a fantastic fellow!

Great Video
nice to see family having accepting whole family race
Man i loved this movie. One of my favorite movies
Look at Micheal man such an inspiration

Video idea: What happened to the 400 lbs runningback.
Guess football is a tough life. Every life has challenges and it is what you do with those challenges that matters. Good for the whole family - they deserve it.
Bottom line, Michael Oher is a great guy that has paid forward many times for what the Tuohy family did for him. Sandra Bullock was great as Leanne Tuohy but she was super scared that she wouldn't portray Leanne correctly. Leanne Tuohy is a very intelligent dynamo type woman. It's best to follow along or get out of her way. She's 5'5" tall and 130 pounds. Michael Oher is 6'4" tall and weighs 300+ pounds but he becomes mush if "Mama" scolds him. Luckily, she rarely had any reasons to do that. Collins Tuohy was right, Michael Oher is like a great big teddy bear that's hard not to love. Michael Oher and the Tuohy family were a great match for each other. He brought as much into their lives as they did for him. Love and unity.
Football “really tied that room together” - the dude
God bless you for this
Suggestion: What happened to Bo Kimble.
Love love the movie loved how little boy looked up to Micheal also how colour wasn't important to family that's how it should be
Great story! Great movie! Great man!
I am happy he fared well.
