KingdomHearts Master Yeah no kidding. And in my experience, those KHBBS secret bosses were a real pain. I just had to spam the dodge button and hope for the best, looking for an opening because if you mess up once, that’s basically the end. By the time I actually finish the boss, my thumb aches! 😩
What i really could not believe was that i manage to no damage mysterious figure on level 1 for the first time and it will be the last time i ever fight him because my goal was accomplish.
I'd considered Red Eyes pretty mainline, as its part of the Secret Episode Story, rather then completely optional, on the other hand you forgot ALL the Bosses in Pride Lands, that place is completely optional
Kurt Zisa was the first time this series really pulled me in with the combat Being the first superboss, he pushed child me to my limits, and I loved every moment of it.
In my crappy opinion. Kurt Zisa was the worst of the optional bosses in kh1. In the first time of the fight it was fun and very well designed. But when he starts doing the flying cutting attack, (sorry if my english is bad) when you do the dodge roll it goes well but when you jump. Only if the game wants you get damage or not. Then after 9.999.999.999 you realise that the only way to kill him is by doing a dodge roll in front of him. So, that's why I don't like it. All the other attacks are cool but that one is so poorly designed and he spammes it so much that I think it's at the level of a birth by sleep secret boss.
Forgive me I’m not trying to be that guys and yes I admit I got beat 20 Times till I got him but the first time I played that fight I saw one health bar I knew he was gonna be a monster and I was so right 30 sec in the first time beat in 30 seconds I was in shock lol
Ha i was thinking that same thing as well. I don't know what they were thinking when they did this. Don't make a secret boss fight to hard to the point that we have blister thumbs because ya'll decide to approach it this way.
Or you could, you know, play the game like a normal person would. On normal (Maybe Proud) with actual levels. Was there a point to you doing this at level 1? Because those fights dragged on forever.
Yeah the mysterious figure fight was a level 1 no damage video i did a while back before i did this video plus this was the only one i had and will not do again just because i am at peace of finally beating him on level 1 no damage.
I remember when the Phantom in the first edition was tough, I was out of MP when I came close to beating him, and I was out of ethers, Goofy was next in line for that clock to hit 12, thinking I was screwed since there was no way to get MP back. But then, straight outta nowhere, Goofy used an ability (at least I think) that gave me his MP right before he died. Needless to say, I avenged Goofy's temporary death with that.
Oh yeah MP gift is a really good ability to have. It's like having another MP bar on Sora except goofy is holding the extra only for Sora which is great. Goofy is a trooper 🤣
Kaupo yeah she's hot and has no darkness. But what would've happened if Terra and Aqua were both Master's despite seeing his darkness maybe all of this wouldn't of happened with Xehenort.
i played dream drop distance on my brothers 3ds,it was my first kingdom hearts game, i think i was 10. i didnt know how to change equipment at that time or how to edit command decks, so i ended up almost fully beating the game with all the default stuff for riku and sora. i look back at it and i was pretty impressed. i think it was on normal difficulty

I agree with you on that they have the worst optional bosses plus the mysterious figure adds to the badness of fighting him because of the consistent dodging you have to do. I like Dodge rolling as much as the next guy because it helpful and broken as well but it get's so annoying when you have to keep hearing the same sound they make while dodging every time you press square. You hear more dodging then you hear the attack because that fight basis around of consistent of dodging the whole entire fight just to stay a live. Same thing applies to the vanitas lingering spirit you have to do the same thing. The only person who has no chance against those two would be terra because he can't dodge as fast as ven and aqua can because they made him to be more of a challenge to use when fighting the optional boss. I just hope kh3 will have some decent optional bosses to fight and not just small choices but like what kh2fm had to offer unlike what khfm did they only had 3 optional boss fight that's it.
Oh yeah that is so right like i was fun and a challenging fight but that all you get and what was really stupid after fighting julius was the reward at the end like why would they give you the ultimate weapon at the end of the game when there is nothing els left to do afterward. They need to find a better way to get the ultimate weapon in kingdom hearts.
I dont mind if a game has few optional Boss fights aslong as they are good. Persona 5 fore example has 2. One of them I dont really care fore but the other I love to death. KH 1 had not that many but Kurt Zisa and Sephiroth are awsome Bosses and Julius was pretty cool as well. BBS on the other hand was just bad when it comes to optional bosses. It is not fun to play and it just looks stupid.

That 👻 super boss is actually very eerie, because time encompasses everything. Having to stop Big Ben multiple times, kept me checking the time in real life. So basically it casts Doom on you, using Big Ben.
Yeah, that boss fight was creepy. I think his kingdom hearts 1 original color palette was more fitting then his final mix color palette because he is dark while his final mix color palette looks not as creepy.

Not to mention the swag tricks you can do to him lol. Yeah he was way to easy even on level 1 critical mode. I even no damage his fight twice because he doesn't have that many attacks to make that fight a challenge. So that fight will always be a joke unless by any chance in the remind dlc they give him more attacks to face along with a desperation move because the attack in the third phase is not a desperation move especially since the screen didn't get dark like the rest of the humanoid bosses in this game.

KingdomHearts Master nope. It was 1. I was just a kid had a disc I would put into the system first and it’d let me pick from a wide range of games to activate cheats for. I was playing KH1 through I think the second time so I decided to cheat horrendously. Max items, infinite power. However...this had really bad side effects. I couldn’t get the last summon Bahamut because his item was bugged. (99 units of one unique item probably does that). I couldn’t progress in one of the harder levels of Olympus because Donald would use STOPAGA or whatever it was called and the enemies would never unfreeze. I was trapped. XD

Those first 2 boss fights gave me nightmares! I couldn't figure out the Peter Pan Clocktower one and this is before looking up the fight on youtube was an option. edit: The first 3 FIGHTS!!! I never defeated Sephiroth on KH1. Easily over 100 attempts, smh. I was puzzled because his health didn't go down at first, lol. To really get you to understand the struggle, this man made me waste all my potions and elixirs so I had to go the other worlds getting money to buy them back to prepare fighting him again. double edit: I only fought the FIRST Sephiroth though. This Sephiroth is spamming like crazy. He's voiced by Lance Bass btw.
Yeah the phantom in Neverland was hard when I first fought when I was younger. As for sephiroth in kh1 he is hard not to mention it was hard to tell when he was going to cast heartless angle because once he cast it that move it was to late to stop him from casting it especially when your far away when he did it.
Yeah his last phase is more difficult since he always vanish plus teleport more near the end. I forgot to mention that the reason his hp does not go down when you strike him is because he has a hidden hp like kh2 when you fight a boss that has a small hp next to the bigger hp gauge that's the extra hp they have.

I watching this and I am speechless you truly are the Kingdom Hearts master great job are you excited about Kingdom Hearts 3 I am and I hope it's freaking awesome I really hope they keep the battle mechanics in Kingdom Hearts II I don't know that's my favorite type of battle mechanics I really wasn't feeling the setup 3D Kingdom Hearts or Birth by Sleep battle mechanics I thought the whole spamming was just really broken
Yeah i am hyped for kingdom hearts 3 because the mechanic look similar to kh2 mechanic. And i don't know why they thought it was a great idea to favor the game around just the command deck not to mention you can tell that's what the wanted us to use why els would the attack feel so weak and slow same thing applied for kh dream drop distance they brought bbs mechanic to that version and mostly favored around spamming the op flow motion mechanic which we had no choice but to use sure it helped to get from point a to point b but it was to over powered . It was mostly use in the second visit to travers town in the third district boss fight for dodging. Now compare that area from kh1 to kh ddd it's almost like the shorten the arena to make dodging harder i swear that's what i think they did. There is a few things i am glade they are bring back and that the abilities sora learn through out the series and bosses that stagger unlike bbs & ddd

You and me both. For some reason i could not stand fighting him in kingdom hearts 1 just because you can never land as many attacks on him like you can in the kh2 version. I mean he moves way to much plus i heard that they made it to where he use fire pillar when ever you combo him but that is on the final mix version. I think they caught on to us because in the original version you could loop him but in the final mix version you could't so they re program his boss fight to do just that.
Anyone else ever felt that Kurt Zisa should have given you a special item/equipment for his fight? Dont get me wrong, hes absolutely my favorite from my childhood but I felt he should had a special keyblade or armor rings that buff between attack and magic respectively.
I to thought that when I was younger & was like he should have given us something but nope nothing. Back in the original version of KH1 you didn't get squat from him but in the final mix version they give him the Ansem report & Zantetnsuken as a reward since Kurt Zisa uses that attack when he dashes at Sora which makes since why he learns it from him.

In a way it does but I find it better for the KH1 secret boss since he at least can get staggered even though his revenge counter is stupid but BBS you pretty much can't stun him ever let alone loop him because every attack he does will pretty much allow him to move away while also having an active hitbox around him.

Yeah, when we were kids we were kicking his but so hard that he went beast mode on us & started spinning horizontal then just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, he goes vertical mode & comes in flying faster which is the most dangerous attack ever lol.
When I played Terra’s story in BBS I went into the Xehanort fight at, like, level 26 or something ridiculously low bc I hated grinding as Terra. I survived 45 minutes of the fight by dodging and whittled off like 1/5 of his health. My second try I survived 1 full hour plus change and still only got 1/5 of his health. My third try lasted like 25 minutes bc my hands were in agony. After that I grinded up like 15-18 levels and won on my fourth try. But I think a much better player than I could have beaten that fight at level 26 with enough determination.
Yeah terra they designed him to be more challenging when it came to dodging which made fighting the mysterious figure extremely difficult when using terra.

I love how people call Kurt Ziga (the first boss, i cant remember exactly his last part) a "Super Boss". See, a SUPER boss is a boss who presents a huge and near impossible challenge. Kurt isn't a SUPER boss, he is a hidden one. Sure, he is tough... but he is fair when you level up enough. He is a challenge because of high health and his ability to block Magic. And the only challenge about magic is that he CAN attack fast... but so do other story bosses (Ursula, anyone? Rikku?) He is a challenge to those doing a low level run, but if you can take your time and pack a lot of health items, he is pretty good to fight... PHANTOM, on the hand, IS NOT A SECRET BOSS, HE IS A STONE WALL BASTARD.
Sanji Zant I get what your saying and yeah phantom is hard but if you got the time, the patient, & the set of skills he not all that bad in fact I go so far to say he is way easier than sephiroth in kh1 because phantom does not have much to throw at you besides the doom counter but that's really not so bad.

By the way, why did you gain tech points every time you damaged Xemnas at Hollow Bastion with a Gravity spell, and is there any particular reason why you use the Decisive Pumpkin Keyblade so much?
Ethan Cox Well that's something I don't know it just happens & as for the decisive pumpkin keyblade I use it a lot because it has combo boost which enhances sora finisher damage related to how many combos sora has done to a target the more combos that is done on the ground by sora the stronger the finisher will be.
Ethan Cox Combo boost is a ground only ability just like air combo boost it work well in the air related to how many hits sora does to a target in the air.
You are missing quite a few bosses me being a series veteran. In KH1 you missed Hades, Ice Titan/ Colossus, Rock Titan, Leon and Yuffie, And Hercules. In KH2 it's basically all the Data Battles. In 358\2 Days there was the massive Dustflier in day 353 as you did not have to beat him to complete the day.In re:coded with the virus Roxas in the hollow bastion data corrupted area(if thats what it is called). Also in BBS with the Mimic Master and all Four Iron Imprisoners. I believe those are all of them. Great job though with these easy and handicapped wins. Props to you. Add these next time if your going to do a follow up.
I know i missed the ice titan boss. And when i meant by optional boss i meant the super bosses that what i should have named the video. I may make another one with all the optional bosses including the 2.8 as soon as i get a ps4 then everything will be completed but thanks for letting me no about that.
KH1 had the best battle mechanics in my OP. It wasn't about spamming or constantly dodging, you had to know the opponent moves and learning to use distances. In DDD almost all bosses were cheesable even if you got one Curaga in your deck.
Yeah it really did have the best mechanic especially for it to be the first action rpg with Disney. In ddd you could not learn the boss attack because they either attack because the game didn't have revenge value in mind or the boss would randomly super armor your attack. Same thing happens in birth by sleep since Osaka team had a part in that game as well.
So I'm going to buy 1.5 + 2.5 which comes with a shit ton of kingdom hearts games. So are there any tips cause I plan to beat all of the bosses in KH 1 KH 2 and KH BBS
Lord Turtwig667 if you haven't played KH yet, don't play on critical in your first playtrough. Normal is recommended by me ^^ But thats obvious. What I tell you now: study yout enemies. Dont just spam attack, try to find out how to avoid all movements. And if you face Lingering Will in KH 2 FM, never forget Bizkits quote (I think it was his): Don't predict, react.
770megaman levels aren't everything :D A friend of mine had problems at the endstage at begimmer, on a higher level than me, when I played on a harder mode.
Miss the time when secret bosses on hard mode were actually hard and you had to find a strategy to beat them. Novadays the first thing ppl do is trying to get a perfect selfie with the boss in the back 😴 #MakeKingdomHeartsHardAgain
I know right. I'm guilty of doing that as well. I just beat him twice. I now see what the fuse was about that boss. I will admit he is boring because he doesn't have as many attacks like kh2fm terra super boss but it was some what challenging just only for a short while. Hopefully the dlc will make the game better with extra content & more super bosses & hard super bosses with more attack to learn & punish.

Phantom...I'll never forget the difficulty this bastard gave me as a child. The death clock you gotta use Stop(ara/araga) on to delay it and keep an eye on ,immune to physical except magic attacks, learning the color of the weak point to use what magic on it with white being anything goes being physical or magic...its madness. But now this? He got a major makover of his appearance, he's not all blueish-black anymore like he is from the first version. Its all ghostly-white and black..like an actual Phantom of London. Creepy.
Yeah that's his final mix color palette they went with. Yeah I remember the first time I fought phantom & lost fast & was left wondering what made me lose that fight until I learned the clock was a doom counter on sora similar to marluxia doom counter. Only difference is his goes base off hits instead of a count down.
Yeah, in the original kingdom hearts he was easy mainly because he could be looped but in the final mix version he was changed to where every time seven hits was done to him, he would auto counter in two ways making it difficult to dodge or react to even if you had the number of how many times you hit him. Final mix is what made his fight slightly harder just becaus they changed his revenge counter. What do you think made his fight hard? I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
@@keybladewar22 Pretty much what you said. That and most of his attacks require precise timing to dodge. Contrary to popular belief, I believe his most dangerous attack is his octaslash as you’ll have the most difficult time dodging it. It was the hardest part of the fight imo. Why would you use Goofy instead of Donald for the Phantom? He's twice more useful in this particular boss battle, considering he can cast the same spells as Sora in order to attack him, and he can also Cure as well. Sure, he has low defense, but he can heal himself better than Goofy.
Not to hate on donald even though that's the case but it's because donald can't stay alive long enough to help me out plus peter pan will sometimes give me aero which saves me some mp usage that can be use on the phantom instead.
True, it's so annoying whenever Donald dies unexpectedly, even when one second he's at full health and immediately dies the next. I usually end up giving him most of my Defense Plus/defense accessories.
Seeing the first half of the No Heart fight, where he's just lounging in the throne while the wall does the fighting, gives me serious memories of Eustace Bagg going "nope, not getting out of this chair". And then he gets out of the chair, and makes you wish he didn't.

I can say kh3 gave me a little taste of how dustflier is like since that flying boss in the carbean is so long if you don't have sora food on or a good strength but either way I know what it must have been like to fight dustflier.
@@keybladewar22 well, the dustflier is like trying to beat KH1 Ice titan, every hit dry you your whole hp but you dont get save at 1HP, 2 consecutive hits from him and you're out. Giant fireballs that pursue you and kill you instantly, a super pound that makes the floor like lethal lava, also kill you instantly, some direct body attacks that damage you the half of your life, that and a great super deffense, not even magica have a 1% effect on it, it took me 30 minutes to beat him with strategy but Lexaeus... he can't even destry a tiny shadow heartless, so slow and not so powerful attacks... Sorry for talking too much hehe
And if you mean a buttload of fights do you mean all boss fight because if you do mean that then this is not all boss fights in Kingdom Hearts this showcases all secret bosses from all kingdom hearts games. But some of the kingdom hearts games that have secret boss I don't have like recoded .
KingdomHearts Master First off, there are no "secret" bosses in KH games - they're "optional" since there is literally nothing secret about them. With that....yeah, Ice Titan fits. Then there's all the Absent Silhouette and Data fights from KH2. The retooled bosses from 3D *technically* count.....but all they did was juice the HP and damage output, so that's lame enough to skip. As for Days and Re:coded, emulators! That's pretty much the only way to grab high quality footage of them anyway.

i’m just now aware of red eyes existence as a secret boss lol. haven’t touched bbs in a long time. so, since this game takes place before KH1, i think its safe to assume this was, in chronological order, the first heartless.. at least the first one that aqua’s encountered.
The aqua fights were seriously painful to watch, like you purposely found the least skillful or enjoyable play style possible. Please, if only for your own enjoyment, don't play so safe. -Dodge only when necessary -use barrier often for counterattacking and healing -attack aggressively, even at the cost of defense, with the key blade at times -try to mix things up and adapt your play style to the fight on the fly Of course, this is just a suggestion, but I feel bad for how unfun you made the game look. It's a totally different game when you're focused on damage rather than defense, even on critical zero exp.
I appreciate your helpful tip but this was meant to be fought carefully. That clip you saw was a no damage challenge i did on level 1 critical mode which meant in that fight i will die if i so much as stop dodging because on level 1 you can get killed in one hit and game over. And as for what you are trying to tell me how to fight him like just attacking while he is attacking is the kind of thing i am talking about i will get one shoted because i did not attack at the right time. And blocking in this fight will still get me killed as well because if my guard whiffs then i might die in one hit plus if i guard an attack that i know has a opening after it i just wasted 1 second to attack him while he was open because he does not stop for long after an attack and her block frame traps her for that one second and i am to late to attack him. That is why i dodge and played it safe so i would not die to easy. Oh and defense is so not going to work not in that fight it won't but that on level one. And i know you can raise your defense one level 1 but the point of that challenge was to do it with out state boost. So everyone has there own way of fighting him but not everyone is going to just blindly fighting them without figuring out there moves and i am not the only one who has done this there are plenty of kingdom hearts youtuber who take the time to figure out there movement so they can win with no trouble.
And to be frank i don't intend on trying to make it unfun it was just a challenge i did when i was doing a no damage challenge back then. Bloody Bizlit ,Bizkit047 and LightVoidGamer does it too. Yes we do love to enjoy the game but some times we like to challenge our self on super boss fights to see how well we do on the fight. So if you don't enjoy it nobody is forcing you to watch that video just click away from it.
KingdomHearts Master I'm sorry that it sounds like I didn't enjoy the video, it was still impressive to see that you achieved full invulnerability with your evasion. I'm sure I chose my words poorly; I was under the impression that the tactics you were using were chosen simply because you didn't know of alternatives. I thought it was like spamming the same combo in a fighting game, rather than doing what's necessary to not be hit, missing much of what the game has to offer. Also, as for getting an extra challenge, that's a trait in a gamer that I admire. Taking a game as seriously keeps the gaming culture alive and is how the speedrunning community is able to exist. boooring.. this isn't mechanics, it's lazy gameplay.. For the sake of always making things harder we got to a point where it became stupid beyond belief. Enigmatic soldier was a fun/ mechanically interesting and balanced boss. Mysterious figure was a fucking mess.
ZeRafut I agree with you on that. A lot of people said that fight was boring because it is time consuming especially one level one which I did a no damage challenge on was extremely boring. Terra was a more balanced boss fight that was well designed and didn't have you spamming the darn square button every second just because they made a boss that was randomly attacking none stop.
Kurt Zisa and Phantom still remains the best secret bosses of all time in KH. I remember saving an extra file just for their fights alone. They need to have more fights like this going further in the games.
Yeah, Kurt Zisa is my favorite super boss as well since he was somewhat of a challenge when I was younger & he to this day is still one of my favorite bosses in KH1. Phantom on the other hand is okay but not as hard or fun mainly because all we really do in that fight is use the right corresponding magic to the color that appears then dodge his swipe attack if you hit him or miss him. Then you keep an eye on the clock to not get an instant game over. It makes me feel so happy that the North American version of this game back in its vanilla state got all the cool super bosses whereas the Japanese release of that game only had Phantom as their only super boss.

KingdomHearts Master Yeah no kidding. And in my experience, those KHBBS secret bosses were a real pain. I just had to spam the dodge button and hope for the best, looking for an opening because if you mess up once, that’s basically the end. By the time I actually finish the boss, my thumb aches! 😩

In my crappy opinion. Kurt Zisa was the worst of the optional bosses in kh1. In the first time of the fight it was fun and very well designed. But when he starts doing the flying cutting attack, (sorry if my english is bad) when you do the dodge roll it goes well but when you jump. Only if the game wants you get damage or not. Then after 9.999.999.999 you realise that the only way to kill him is by doing a dodge roll in front of him. So, that's why I don't like it. All the other attacks are cool but that one is so poorly designed and he spammes it so much that I think it's at the level of a birth by sleep secret boss.

Yeah the mysterious figure fight was a level 1 no damage video i did a while back before i did this video plus this was the only one i had and will not do again just because i am at peace of finally beating him on level 1 no damage.
Remember back when we thought the sephiroth boss fights were hardest bosses you could ever face, now he's one of the easiest ones.

I remember when the Phantom in the first edition was tough, I was out of MP when I came close to beating him, and I was out of ethers, Goofy was next in line for that clock to hit 12, thinking I was screwed since there was no way to get MP back. But then, straight outta nowhere, Goofy used an ability (at least I think) that gave me his MP right before he died. Needless to say, I avenged Goofy's temporary death with that.
Oh yeah MP gift is a really good ability to have. It's like having another MP bar on Sora except goofy is holding the extra only for Sora which is great. Goofy is a trooper 🤣

i played dream drop distance on my brothers 3ds,it was my first kingdom hearts game, i think i was 10. i didnt know how to change equipment at that time or how to edit command decks, so i ended up almost fully beating the game with all the default stuff for riku and sora. i look back at it and i was pretty impressed. i think it was on normal difficulty

I agree with you on that they have the worst optional bosses plus the mysterious figure adds to the badness of fighting him because of the consistent dodging you have to do. I like Dodge rolling as much as the next guy because it helpful and broken as well but it get's so annoying when you have to keep hearing the same sound they make while dodging every time you press square. You hear more dodging then you hear the attack because that fight basis around of consistent of dodging the whole entire fight just to stay a live. Same thing applies to the vanitas lingering spirit you have to do the same thing. The only person who has no chance against those two would be terra because he can't dodge as fast as ven and aqua can because they made him to be more of a challenge to use when fighting the optional boss. I just hope kh3 will have some decent optional bosses to fight and not just small choices but like what kh2fm had to offer unlike what khfm did they only had 3 optional boss fight that's it.

Oh yeah that is so right like i was fun and a challenging fight but that all you get and what was really stupid after fighting julius was the reward at the end like why would they give you the ultimate weapon at the end of the game when there is nothing els left to do afterward. They need to find a better way to get the ultimate weapon in kingdom hearts.
I dont mind if a game has few optional Boss fights aslong as they are good. Persona 5 fore example has 2. One of them I dont really care fore but the other I love to death. KH 1 had not that many but Kurt Zisa and Sephiroth are awsome Bosses and Julius was pretty cool as well.
BBS on the other hand was just bad when it comes to optional bosses.

That 👻 super boss is actually very eerie, because time encompasses everything. Having to stop Big Ben multiple times, kept me checking the time in real life. So basically it casts Doom on you, using Big Ben.
Yeah, that boss fight was creepy. I think his kingdom hearts 1 original color palette was more fitting then his final mix color palette because he is dark while his final mix color palette looks not as creepy.

Also, the last of the Dalmations were found there for me, so I had to take it out. I had the original PS2 version.

Dark inferno: literally the easiest super boss in the series spawning a meme about the many ways it can be beaten
Not to mention the swag tricks you can do to him lol. Yeah he was way to easy even on level 1 critical mode. I even no damage his fight twice because he doesn't have that many attacks to make that fight a challenge. So that fight will always be a joke unless by any chance in the remind dlc they give him more attacks to face along with a desperation move because the attack in the third phase is not a desperation move especially since the screen didn't get dark like the rest of the humanoid bosses in this game.

KingdomHearts Master nope. It was 1. I was just a kid had a disc I would put into the system first and it’d let me pick from a wide range of games to activate cheats for. I was playing KH1 through I think the second time so I decided to cheat horrendously. Max items, infinite power. However...this had really bad side effects. I couldn’t get the last summon Bahamut because his item was bugged. (99 units of one unique item probably does that). I couldn’t progress in one of the harder levels of Olympus because Donald would use STOPAGA or whatever it was called and the enemies would never unfreeze. I was trapped. XD

Those first 2 boss fights gave me nightmares! I couldn't figure out the Peter Pan Clocktower one and this is before looking up the fight on youtube was an option.
edit: The first 3 FIGHTS!!! I never defeated Sephiroth on KH1. Easily over 100 attempts, smh. I was puzzled because his health didn't go down at first, lol. To really get you to understand the struggle, this man made me waste all my potions and elixirs so I had to go the other worlds getting money to buy them back to prepare fighting him again.
double edit: I only fought the FIRST Sephiroth though. This Sephiroth is spamming like crazy. He's voiced by Lance Bass btw.
Yeah the phantom in Neverland was hard when I first fought when I was younger. As for sephiroth in kh1 he is hard not to mention it was hard to tell when he was going to cast heartless angle because once he cast it that move it was to late to stop him from casting it especially when your far away when he did it.
Sephiroth towards the end of the fight was almost unfair, lol.
Yeah his last phase is more difficult since he always vanish plus teleport more near the end. I forgot to mention that the reason his hp does not go down when you strike him is because he has a hidden hp like kh2 when you fight a boss that has a small hp next to the bigger hp gauge that's the extra hp they have.
Yeah I figured that out after I finally started seeing his health go down.
Phantom is the only one I didn't beat simply because I didn't have the will to sit through it

I watching this and I am speechless you truly are the Kingdom Hearts master great job are you excited about Kingdom Hearts 3 I am and I hope it's freaking awesome I really hope they keep the battle mechanics in Kingdom Hearts II I don't know that's my favorite type of battle mechanics I really wasn't feeling the setup 3D Kingdom Hearts or Birth by Sleep battle mechanics I thought the whole spamming was just really broken
Yeah i am hyped for kingdom hearts 3 because the mechanic look similar to kh2 mechanic. And i don't know why they thought it was a great idea to favor the game around just the command deck not to mention you can tell that's what the wanted us to use why els would the attack feel so weak and slow same thing applied for kh dream drop distance they brought bbs mechanic to that version and mostly favored around spamming the op flow motion mechanic which we had no choice but to use sure it helped to get from point a to point b but it was to over powered . It was mostly use in the second visit to travers town in the third district boss fight for dodging. Now compare that area from kh1 to kh ddd it's almost like the shorten the arena to make dodging harder i swear that's what i think they did. There is a few things i am glade they are bring back and that the abilities sora learn through out the series and bosses that stagger unlike bbs & ddd

It shouldn't be a card system that i know because we can finally attack with really awesome combos my only concern is that i hope bosses don't break out of our combos because bbs punish us with that crap. No rng to figure them out it was a game of russian roulette when it came to boss fights in that game for all i know.

I can never remember how, but when I was younger I beat sephoroth in KH 2 but it boggles me to this day as to how I did it

I personaly never bothered with sephiroth in KH 1 but when I finally beat Riku part 2 in hollow bastion I literally cried from happyness
You and me both. For some reason i could not stand fighting him in kingdom hearts 1 just because you can never land as many attacks on him like you can in the kh2 version. I mean he moves way to much plus i heard that they made it to where he use fire pillar when ever you combo him but that is on the final mix version. I think they caught on to us because in the original version you could loop him but in the final mix version you could't so they re program his boss fight to do just that.
Anyone else ever felt that Kurt Zisa should have given you a special item/equipment for his fight? Dont get me wrong, hes absolutely my favorite from my childhood but I felt he should had a special keyblade or armor rings that buff between attack and magic respectively.
I to thought that when I was younger & was like he should have given us something but nope nothing. Back in the original version of KH1 you didn't get squat from him but in the final mix version they give him the Ansem report & Zantetnsuken as a reward since Kurt Zisa uses that attack when he dashes at Sora which makes since why he learns it from him.

BBS's Mysterious Figure operates like he's from one of the console KH games.
In a way it does but I find it better for the KH1 secret boss since he at least can get staggered even though his revenge counter is stupid but BBS you pretty much can't stun him ever let alone loop him because every attack he does will pretty much allow him to move away while also having an active hitbox around him.

I remember the first time I beat the first boss you kill in the video, I felt like a god because how hard he was for a kid my age lol.
Yeah, when we were kids we were kicking his but so hard that he went beast mode on us & started spinning horizontal then just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, he goes vertical mode & comes in flying faster which is the most dangerous attack ever lol.

When I played Terra’s story in BBS I went into the Xehanort fight at, like, level 26 or something ridiculously low bc I hated grinding as Terra. I survived 45 minutes of the fight by dodging and whittled off like 1/5 of his health. My second try I survived 1 full hour plus change and still only got 1/5 of his health. My third try lasted like 25 minutes bc my hands were in agony.
After that I grinded up like 15-18 levels and won on my fourth try. But I think a much better player than I could have beaten that fight at level 26 with enough determination.
Yeah terra they designed him to be more challenging when it came to dodging which made fighting the mysterious figure extremely difficult when using terra.
The Aqua fight made my eyes bleed.

I love how people call Kurt Ziga (the first boss, i cant remember exactly his last part) a "Super Boss". See, a SUPER boss is a boss who presents a huge and near impossible challenge.
Kurt isn't a SUPER boss, he is a hidden one. Sure, he is tough... but he is fair when you level up enough. He is a challenge because of high health and his ability to block Magic. And the only challenge about magic is that he CAN attack fast... but so do other story bosses (Ursula, anyone? Rikku?) He is a challenge to those doing a low level run, but if you can take your time and pack a lot of health items, he is pretty good to fight...
PHANTOM, on the hand, IS NOT A SECRET BOSS, HE IS A STONE WALL BASTARD.
Sanji Zant I get what your saying and yeah phantom is hard but if you got the time, the patient, & the set of skills he not all that bad in fact I go so far to say he is way easier than sephiroth in kh1 because phantom does not have much to throw at you besides the doom counter but that's really not so bad.

Ethan Cox Well that's something I don't know it just happens & as for the decisive pumpkin keyblade I use it a lot because it has combo boost which enhances sora finisher damage related to how many combos sora has done to a target the more combos that is done on the ground by sora the stronger the finisher will be.
Ethan Cox Combo boost is a ground only ability just like air combo boost it work well in the air related to how many hits sora does to a target in the air.

You are missing quite a few bosses me being a series veteran. In KH1 you missed Hades, Ice Titan/ Colossus, Rock Titan, Leon and Yuffie, And Hercules. In KH2 it's basically all the Data Battles. In 358\2 Days there was the massive Dustflier in day 353 as you did not have to beat him to complete the day.In re:coded with the virus Roxas in the hollow bastion data corrupted area(if thats what it is called). Also in BBS with the Mimic Master and all Four Iron Imprisoners. I believe those are all of them. Great job though with these easy and handicapped wins. Props to you. Add these next time if your going to do a follow up.
I know i missed the ice titan boss. And when i meant by optional boss i meant the super bosses that what i should have named the video. I may make another one with all the optional bosses including the 2.8 as soon as i get a ps4 then everything will be completed but thanks for letting me no about that.

Kurt zisa desperation move is a hard hitting attack.
KH1 had the best battle mechanics in my OP. It wasn't about spamming or constantly dodging, you had to know the opponent moves and learning to use distances. In DDD almost all bosses were cheesable even if you got one Curaga in your deck.
Yeah it really did have the best mechanic especially for it to be the first action rpg with Disney. In ddd you could not learn the boss attack because they either attack because the game didn't have revenge value in mind or the boss would randomly super armor your attack. Same thing happens in birth by sleep since Osaka team had a part in that game as well.

Lord Turtwig667 if you haven't played KH yet, don't play on critical in your first playtrough. Normal is recommended by me ^^
But thats obvious. What I tell you now: study yout enemies. Dont just spam attack, try to find out how to avoid all movements. And if you face Lingering Will in KH 2 FM, never forget Bizkits quote (I think it was his): Don't predict, react.

I know right. I'm guilty of doing that as well. I just beat him twice. I now see what the fuse was about that boss. I will admit he is boring because he doesn't have as many attacks like kh2fm terra super boss but it was some what challenging just only for a short while. Hopefully the dlc will make the game better with extra content & more super bosses & hard super bosses with more attack to learn & punish.

Level one critical mode feels much more challenging but when you know his attack patterns after a while it just feels less of an issue.

Phantom...I'll never forget the difficulty this bastard gave me as a child. The death clock you gotta use Stop(ara/araga) on to delay it and keep an eye on ,immune to physical except magic attacks, learning the color of the weak point to use what magic on it with white being anything goes being physical or magic...its madness. But now this? He got a major makover of his appearance, he's not all blueish-black anymore like he is from the first version. Its all ghostly-white and black..like an actual Phantom of London. Creepy.
Yeah that's his final mix color palette they went with. Yeah I remember the first time I fought phantom & lost fast & was left wondering what made me lose that fight until I learned the clock was a doom counter on sora similar to marluxia doom counter. Only difference is his goes base off hits instead of a count down.

Yeah, in the original kingdom hearts he was easy mainly because he could be looped but in the final mix version he was changed to where every time seven hits was done to him, he would auto counter in two ways making it difficult to dodge or react to even if you had the number of how many times you hit him. Final mix is what made his fight slightly harder just becaus they changed his revenge counter. What do you think made his fight hard? I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
@@keybladewar22 Pretty much what you said. That and most of his attacks require precise timing to dodge. Contrary to popular belief, I believe his most dangerous attack is his octaslash as you’ll have the most difficult time dodging it. It was the hardest part of the fight imo. @@themidgarbadass2517 Thanks & no problem. Yeah, the desperation move of that fight was the hardest as a kid & probably is to others as well in this modern time. His metor attack on the other hand let's you breath a little so that is the games way of showing mercy lol.
Why would you use Goofy instead of Donald for the Phantom? He's twice more useful in this particular boss battle, considering he can cast the same spells as Sora in order to attack him, and he can also Cure as well. Sure, he has low defense, but he can heal himself better than Goofy.
Not to hate on donald even though that's the case but it's because donald can't stay alive long enough to help me out plus peter pan will sometimes give me aero which saves me some mp usage that can be use on the phantom instead.
True, it's so annoying whenever Donald dies unexpectedly, even when one second he's at full health and immediately dies the next. I usually end up giving him most of my Defense Plus/defense accessories.
Even with defense donald some how still dies because he can't block attack or move out of the way.

I can say kh3 gave me a little taste of how dustflier is like since that flying boss in the carbean is so long if you don't have sora food on or a good strength but either way I know what it must have been like to fight dustflier.
@@keybladewar22 well, the dustflier is like trying to beat KH1 Ice titan, every hit dry you your whole hp but you dont get save at 1HP, 2 consecutive hits from him and you're out.
Giant fireballs that pursue you and kill you instantly, a super pound that makes the floor like lethal lava, also kill you instantly, some direct body attacks that damage you the half of your life, that and a great super deffense, not even magica have a 1% effect on it, it took me 30 minutes to beat him with strategy but Lexaeus... he can't even destry a tiny shadow heartless, so slow and not so powerful attacks...

It's cool. I had know idea lexaeus was that slow. In kh2fm he is strong when fighting sora but he is slow in 358 ? Wow.

And if you mean a buttload of fights do you mean all boss fight because if you do mean that then this is not all boss fights in Kingdom Hearts this showcases all secret bosses from all kingdom hearts games. But some of the kingdom hearts games that have secret boss I don't have like recoded .
KingdomHearts Master First off, there are no "secret" bosses in KH games - they're "optional" since there is literally nothing secret about them.
With that....yeah, Ice Titan fits. Then there's all the Absent Silhouette and Data fights from KH2. The retooled bosses from 3D *technically* count.....but all they did was juice the HP and damage output, so that's lame enough to skip.
As for Days and Re:coded, emulators! That's pretty much the only way to grab high quality footage of them anyway.

Thanks for being honest and telling it straight. I actually feel stupid for titling the video all secret bosses. So I changed it and yes I know I miss some videos in there I forgot to add them in when I put the clips together that's why.
i’m just now aware of red eyes existence as a secret boss lol. haven’t touched bbs in a long time. so, since this game takes place before KH1, i think its safe to assume this was, in chronological order, the first heartless.. at least the first one that aqua’s encountered.

The aqua fights were seriously painful to watch, like you purposely found the least skillful or enjoyable play style possible. Please, if only for your own enjoyment, don't play so safe.
-Dodge only when necessary
-use barrier often for counterattacking and healing
-attack aggressively, even at the cost of defense, with the key blade at times
-try to mix things up and adapt your play style to the fight on the fly
Of course, this is just a suggestion, but I feel bad for how unfun you made the game look. It's a totally different game when you're focused on damage rather than defense, even on critical zero exp.
I appreciate your helpful tip but this was meant to be fought carefully. That clip you saw was a no damage challenge i did on level 1 critical mode which meant in that fight i will die if i so much as stop dodging because on level 1 you can get killed in one hit and game over. And as for what you are trying to tell me how to fight him like just attacking while he is attacking is the kind of thing i am talking about i will get one shoted because i did not attack at the right time. And blocking in this fight will still get me killed as well because if my guard whiffs then i might die in one hit plus if i guard an attack that i know has a opening after it i just wasted 1 second to attack him while he was open because he does not stop for long after an attack and her block frame traps her for that one second and i am to late to attack him. That is why i dodge and played it safe so i would not die to easy. Oh and defense is so not going to work not in that fight it won't but that on level one. And i know you can raise your defense one level 1 but the point of that challenge was to do it with out state boost. So everyone has there own way of fighting him but not everyone is going to just blindly fighting them without figuring out there moves and i am not the only one who has done this there are plenty of kingdom hearts youtuber who take the time to figure out there movement so they can win with no trouble.
And to be frank i don't intend on trying to make it unfun it was just a challenge i did when i was doing a no damage challenge back then. Bloody Bizlit ,Bizkit047 and LightVoidGamer does it too. Yes we do love to enjoy the game but some times we like to challenge our self on super boss fights to see how well we do on the fight. So if you don't enjoy it nobody is forcing you to watch that video just click away from it.
KingdomHearts Master I'm sorry that it sounds like I didn't enjoy the video, it was still impressive to see that you achieved full invulnerability with your evasion. I'm sure I chose my words poorly; I was under the impression that the tactics you were using were chosen simply because you didn't know of alternatives. I thought it was like spamming the same combo in a fighting game, rather than doing what's necessary to not be hit, missing much of what the game has to offer.
Also, as for getting an extra challenge, that's a trait in a gamer that I admire. Taking a game as seriously keeps the gaming culture alive and is how the speedrunning community is able to exist. A whole metagame about pure skill.

boooring.. this isn't mechanics, it's lazy gameplay.. For the sake of always making things harder we got to a point where it became stupid beyond belief.
Enigmatic soldier was a fun/ mechanically interesting and balanced boss.

ZeRafut I agree with you on that. A lot of people said that fight was boring because it is time consuming especially one level one which I did a no damage challenge on was extremely boring. Terra was a more balanced boss fight that was well designed and didn't have you spamming the darn square button every second just because they made a boss that was randomly attacking none stop.

Kurt Zisa and Phantom still remains the best secret bosses of all time in KH. I remember saving an extra file just for their fights alone. They need to have more fights like this going further in the games.
Yeah, Kurt Zisa is my favorite super boss as well since he was somewhat of a challenge when I was younger & he to this day is still one of my favorite bosses in KH1. Phantom on the other hand is okay but not as hard or fun mainly because all we really do in that fight is use the right corresponding magic to the color that appears then dodge his swipe attack if you hit him or miss him. Then you keep an eye on the clock to not get an instant game over. It makes me feel so happy that the North American version of this game back in its vanilla state got all the cool super bosses whereas the Japanese release of that game only had Phantom as their only super boss.
