are those 1980-1986 head light buckets you got mounted in the 87-91 head light assemblies? if so what modifications did you have to do? those aussie conversion kits cost way too much for whats in the kit. any help would be greatly appricated. thanks
Hi mate, I’m in Australia so these are the standard headlight buckets here. I just installed 5x7 led headlights in there. But the Aussie headlight conversion kit will replicate what’s on this one.

awesome video man! I found a 1987 f150 with the 302 motor, for $1,900 it has 1K miles and the guy said it has been siting for 2 years, Whould you say thats a pretty good deal? i really want a project truck!
I got them locally in facebook marketplace, but they are on ebay readily available, You`ll need the Aussie headlight conversion kit though if you are in the States.
I got them locally Liam but you an find them on ebay, just search for OBS Ford projector headlamps. I Chrome Vinyl wrapped the surround on mine as they were black.
Unlike the North american style headlights the aussie style have much more options for better lighting with the sealed beams. Our stock housings in North America are junk for light output, and if you add illegal LED bulbs your just blinding oncoming drivers. I also think parts for the OEM aussie headlights are discontinued by Ford so our conversion kits here in North america would work the same as yours in AU. Looks like the motor was changed in that truck, usually the 5.0L windsor for those trucks had the truck intake like ours. Your bed stateside here would be worth big dollars rust free.
