AFFIRMATIVE, CAPTAIN! The entire Green River album is fire. "Someday Never Comes" is so emotional it's like a stab to the heart, but at the same time, it's also a banger.
If you love Bad Moon Rising... you might appreciate their 11 minute version of Heard It Through The Grapevine. I love Marvin Gay's & Gladys Knight & The Pip's versions too but CCR's 11 minute rendition will blow your mind!! Be Safe & Blessings ❣️
CCR and the DOORS... lots of similarities. Both California bands. Both put records about the same time '67-'72. Both put out about the same amount of records in that short time. CCR - 7 albums and The Doors 6 albums. (debut -LA Woman) CCR every album Platinum or better except Mardi Gras (Gold). The Doors, also every album Platinum or better. CCR fared better on the charts overall with (9) Top 10, but they never had a #1, of which the Doors had (2)- Light My Fire and Hello, I Love You.
I was really disappointed when I found out he was from California. Thought they were from Louisiana, lol. Keep on Chooglin Woodstock is their best song ever.
I got to see them twice, and that was their last song they played. They really turned it up a notch in that one. It's sad that not many have heard about the song, outside of true fans.
Green River is all good 'ol swamp-rock, Bayou-catching music! The album is their best, i think. They were really on a roll when they taped it.

@AgingDrummerBoy-ly1js It punches so hard! ❤️
this song is off the Green River album...one of the best songs on the album
Creedance Clearwater Revial ❤great music to listen to they are very entertaining band 🎉to me they are very underrated for their music.
I love them
Somehow I always forget how awesome that song is.
I like you calling his voice nostalgic. It doesnt matter how old you are. It seems like that voice, has always been there. Good call.
I agree this is a great album
I missed this one, always good, CCR was awesome
Nobody hit the bullseye more consistently than CCR. Nobody. Try "Sinister Purpose" next, also from the "Green River" album.
One of my Faves!
Thanks for sharing
