When my cousins and I were kids we used to go to the range with my uncles and they would have us go pick the bullets out of the targets and from the ground around the targets and we would also collect all the brass. Then when we got back to the farm us kids would sort them. I loved it. We had a lot of fun and we got paid in cookies and candy and sometime pop. LOL. Thank you for sharing your sorting trays. I think I am going to share this with my uncles. lol

Looks like a good investment. I don't have as much brass to go through, but as I accumulate more, I may get me a set of sorters.

Not trash, it is trade. There are plenty of people out there that will buy your brass. Nice video.

I've got the same set up, that company also makes a metal tray that fits inside the yellow tray that will seperate the 380 from 9mm. Other than nesting, it works great!. Personally I dump all my brass through the yellow tray. Then I switch 5 gallon buckets and dump it all through the blue one. Use the empty bucket and pour it all through the black tray. Lastly, I take all the 9mm and 380 and put the metal plate in the yellow tray in order to seperate the 380. Hope it helps.

Yea, you still need to inspect very thoroughly before loading, as you know. Thanks for the comment.

    Cool contraption.
I collect range brass too. If there's anything u have an over abundance of maybe we could do some trading. I don't reload about half of what I get. Thanks for sharing.

I considered buying one of these, but I never seem to accumulate buckets of range brass. Sorting by hand is no thinking kind of therapeutic. Thanks for the sharing.

yeah i mine a lot of stone and it is similar sorting it in a sluice... definitely pulling out the bigger pieces and sorting the small bits at another time.... could never do it all hand at a time!

The 22 brass is worth some at the scraper. Brass and copper are high right now. Last time I looked copper was $3 a pound and brass is not far behind. After a while the 22 brass will add up. A five gallon bucket should be worth quite a bit.

I need to see if my range will sell me some of their range sweep up brass. If so I would definitely need to pick this sorter up. Mind me asking how much you pay for your brass?

I wish there was an indoor range near me that I could buy range brass from. Range brass is expensive online. Any sugestions as to where I can find it for less than $190 for 32 pounds on gunbroker ?

i thought you would have been a reloader for a while. when i started shooting 22 full auto in the backyard my wife told me i had to pick up those cases too. so go one more step, seperate out the dirt and sell the 32 and 22 and reload screw ups for brass scrap.
    video response coming. im sick.

Maybe use a magnet to remove steel shells.

what brass you call trash is cash. the 22 brass ans such can be swaged into 223 bullets and the 40 can be swaged into 45's and on and on. with the current fubar,, good protocol is to save and sell or trade. Sen me a pm if you are interested in more info. I run a reloading forum with well over 25K members from around the globe.
