I feel like expressing femininity in a positive way, regardless of gender, is so important. Having a boy precure aligns with that and will represent a subset of the fanbase that hasn't been properly represented yet
as a gay guy who was granted so much hope and joy ever since coming across the ending theme for smile precure one middle school night, im so so happy to see precure take the statement tht is "boys can be magical girls too" and seriously apply it not just with cure wing but WITH A WHOLE SIDE-SHOW FEATURING A WHOLE MALE CAST!! so so happy to see yall talk abt precure again, and loving the look here!!! ahhh this is making me want to rewatch all my fave seasons (and also catch up with hirogaru sky--)

I love seeing male characters like Cure Wing! I’ve been calling myself a magical boy because I love the magical girl aesthetic, but as a trans guy I can get anxious about dressing that way and having those interests. Seeing a boy living that role makes me so happy!
AHH THE PRECURE CHATS ARE BACK 🥳. This year is going to be a WILD RIDE with all the new stuff coming out! Personally I'm most excited for the new All Stars movie and the Otona Precure sequels! Also if it helps the Maho sequel is airing next year meaning Precure likely won't stop here. Not to mention the Splash Star girls will be featured as well! I've been getting into a bunch of other anime recently, but sometimes it's nice to go back to where it all started for me 😌. Anyways Mashiro/Cure Prism has to be my fav of the Hirogaru bunch. I love her personality and "friendship" with Sora (yk what I'm talking about) as well as her beautiful design! She's been getting developed really nicely too, which is always a plus! Anyways you'll probably find me broke by the end of the year depending on how much merch they release for these events...

I just wanna point out that there has been like a precure renaissance on youtube this year, with so many content creators posting videos about precure from so many countrys around the world, and getting actual views haha, and IM LIVING FOR IT!!
I loved Cute High Earth Defence Club Love! And it was inspired by the idea of magical girls, but with boys. I always found boys shows more fun and exciting, maybe that's just my ADHD, but I'm interested to see where they take things. I certainly haven't seen all the series/generations (I think I saw 3 or 4 of them), but this makes me want to get back into it.
CHEDCL was SO funny and sweet - definitely a different energy to classic Magical Girls anime but I remember having a great time with it !

The Y!PC5 Cures were my favorite team as a kid next to the Sailor Scouts and to be able to see them grown up just like me is so going to make me cry I swear. 😂💖✨

That was the first precure season I watched and it is still my favorite despite everyone pretty much universally not liking it very much. I can’t wait to see it omg! This was such a well written video! I remember when I first watched your Precure seasons reviewed a few years ago. Back then I had only seen a few episodes of Precure scattered. I remember that when I heard the way you described Yes5 in particular it made me feel so glad that an anime like that existed, so I immediately wanted to see it. I always considered myself a fan of shojo anime that involved switching between animal and human forms (Fruits Basket for instance) but the way Precure sounded, combining stuff like that, with Magical girls (a genre I also always loved, probably because it allowed me to express my gender in ways I was usually discouraged from as an assigned male person), well simply put, it felt like Yes5 had everything I wanted in anime. Funnily enough, I actually ended up watching Heartcatch first with a friend and really liked it, but I did eventually get to Yes 5, and I just fell in love with it in ways I never thought possible for me. Words cannot describe how excited I was when I found out we were getting an adult version with Otona, getting to see Nozomi, and Rin and Karen and Milk and Coco and Nuts and all these characters I loved so much, living lives as adults, it was just such a joy, I felt so lucky. Who would’ve guessed, that the season I become a Precure fan from, 2 seasons that came out in 2007, and 2008, would actually get sequels?? And let me just say, I finished the show and I’m completely satisfied, the way the characters are as adults, the updated transformations, the **romance** aahhh I was in love it was like everything I wanted ❤❤❤❤
--- I have 3 things to say about what's happening with Precure ---
1) Oh yeah, about the "Final...?" thing, I now realized it means nothing. Toei does that with Kamen Rider movies all the times with FINAL, TRUE ENDING and FOREVER. At first I used to think it was gonna end because of the "Final...?" thingy popping up, but now I understood that it could mean something big. Like a parade, or a Shin Precure (live action or 3d animation) movie announcement. So Precure isn't actually ending (well, not yet at least, or is it? Idk, we'll see once it's release), plus we got 2 more sequels coming up in November and next year.
2) Of course, this may not be related but, the Precure franchise's almost 20 years old now and It's sad that barely much anyone's still talking about it, outside the bland Glitter Force dubs we got on Netflix, like how most people are talking about Pokémon or Yokai Watch or Digimon, hence the fact Precure wasn't as that popular as the 3 franchises I mentioned in the west. I wish more people would talk about this show, promote it, and make it more recognizable outside Japan, especially Hirogaru Sky, in which the franchise's current season's starting to become more popular, since Heartcatch, than any Precure season and as somewhat recognizable as Saban's Glitter Force (Smile & DokiDoki) Netflix Dubs out there, since it broke trends like making it the first male Cure, and first adult Cure. I'm obsessed with, and love Hirogaru Sky so much that when it ends I'm totally eager in rewatching it over again and I'm happy it's growing popularity.
3) What I learned from Precure is the power of friendship, teamwork, commitment, having fun, doing your best, never giving up, staying strong, that you can overcome anything, girls can fight, be superheroes and save the world too, and that there's more magical girls to look up to. I mean, Precure was the reason I found more magical girl anime like Sailor Moon, Madoka, Tokyo Mew Mew, Shugo Chara, Cardcaptor Sakura, etc. And what I learned about Hirogaru Sky, even Cure Sky, my comfort character, is something really special. It's that you don't have to be alone anymore 'cuz you have friends by your side, even if you falter you have others to push you forward, the light of hope making our hearts and fists invincible, and even if we're different, it's okay, we can overcome it. God, I learned a lot from this season and I love the messages so much I listen to them all day.
BTW, it's good to see Pixie talking about Precure. Maybe people can too! 🌻🌸✨

PRECURE IS MY LIFE!!!! i have been watching them before i even knew what it was (i saw and watched all the clips from yt kids back then) the songs were the only songs i listened to back then (now its more a mix of that and vocaloid with pjsk covers and ONly a little kpop) precure changed my LIFE idk where i would be without it my faves are splash star the og's (iykyk) and smile precure they gave me hope and one day i wish ppl knew how happy and inspired they made me feel cure custard is one of my highest kins and i feel accepted when she came on screen in kirakira

I got into it back in my tumblr days when heartcatch was making the rounds there, and after a while of being in the wider anime community, i felt a bit embarrased sharing my love of a show that "wasn't popular" and "made for kids." i warched your video talking about all the seasons, and almost immediately i went and watched go princess.

re: the all stars movie, if this is F for final, i think it probably signifies the end of the all star movies specifically, just because it's getting soooooo unweldy to balance so many cures. i can see them coming up with a new crossover movie tradition with smaller casts but this is probably a farewell (another f........) to the all stars movies.

@@-toriizaka46 "Fukkatsu" actually means revival or resurrection! I don't think I've ever heard anyone use it for "eternal" in any context - "eien" is the word you would use for that.

I'm goosebumps right now. If we make it to Pretty Cure 25th anniversary by 2029, I'll also be that way. However, we don't know how long Pretty Cure will last. Indeed, it never fails to bring magical girls to life.

You can either:
1. Start with Futari Wa and go in order.
2. Start with Soaring Sky, the ongoing season.
3. Watch as fan-favorite season, like Go Princess or Heartcatch.
4. Watch whatever season catches your eye.
Just know that both Pretty Cure Max Heart and Yes Pretty Cure 5 Gogo are sequels.
