1 question and 1 comment. If you adjust the “flip chip” to increase the wheelbase does the brake caliper need adjustment? I would think the distance between the caliper and rotor center will change. You state that 2x chainrings are an option but Polygon’s website states that max chainring is 42T. Shimano smallest 2x chainring ring is 46T on GRX. Limited options.
Enjoy your vids and that bike is amazing value but also for those with less $ could you maybe review some of the bikesonline budget gravel bikes too. Thinking the base Gestalt and Nicassio 700c
Hey thanks for watching! I would love to! I will reach out and see if we can get some more bikes to test and review! I did buy the Marin Nicasio + from them awhile back and did a written review on my blog: cycletraveloverload.com/marin-nicasio-review-best-budget-gravel-bike/ But let me know if you have any other questions - here to help!
Hey Steve! I have just reached out to Polygon to see what they recommend when it comes to this. They mention it is best suited for lightweight and compact gear while bikepacking. But if I get a response I will be sure to let you know.
Hey Mark! Most of 2024 made the move up here to work on a new company I mentioned zuetani.earth based in Gold Coast! Plus I've been lapping up the weather. Be down there sometime this year!
@@CycleTravelOverload yep I was born in Townsville and all the family is in Bowen. But I'm still living down here near Mordialloc looking after a 92 year old father in I'll health. Anyway take care of yourself and stay blessed K 🙏

Yeah you have to put adaptor for the brake
Hey great point yes it does totally forgot to mention that.. thanks for pointing that out..
Looks like a sweet ride, it just looks fast. I’ll have to do some more research, love the video.
Hey thank you 🙏 best of luck
Only thing I don't like about that bike is the gearing. For an adventure bike, they should've put the 10-52 cassette!

What's the weight limit for this bike...can it be used for touring like you do with a steel bike.

Hey, mate the team got back to me. The bike's weight limit is 125 kg (Rider + gear/luggage)
@CycleTravelOverload that's the weight limit of the Trek Checkpoint ALR 5 gravel bike.
Mate what's up with living in Brisbane and not down here in Vic / Bunyip?
