Jo Retired from singing in the late 60's. Here, her voice is still smooth & so easy on the ears. I want so badly to go back to '61. all we worried about then, was WW#, & nuclear war. What an easy time it was. --------------------MJL, 75 y/o
Listening------------I'm all choked up, in tears ; Jo's gorgeous voice so reminds me of Dad & Mom-------both loved Jo's voice & her music. Wheever she came on the radio or TV, we were certain to watch & listen. ---------------Where--------where ???--------------have the years gone ??----------------Dad & Mom, I miss you both. -------------------------------WolfSky9, 73 y/o
It is impossible to not get nostalgic & wistful, every time I hear Jo sing her signature song. My memories of both my Dad & my Mom, listening & singing along, are still, so vivid, & a part of my childhood. -------------What a voice. ----------------------WolfSky9, 73 y/o
Listen to this -----------& I go back to hearing this album on our Hi-Fi , which at the time, seemed like the coolest thing ever invented. -------------Jo's note-perfect & honey-toned soprano was a real rarity, & today, even more so.
Ohhhhhh, how I wish I could go back to those early 60's ! Would I do it all the same ???????---------Most anything is better than 2020 ! --------------------------WolfSky9, 73 y/o
I have this album, & I love the updated versions of Jo's hits, with of course, Husband Paul Weston. This version is 13 seconds longer than the '52 version on Columbia. ------------Either version is music heaven, & as Mr Sinatra said, " Folks, you can wait around & hope, but you'll not see or hear the likes of this, ever again. " -------WolfSky9, 73 y/o
Know how you feel. I remember listening to this voice as a young boy growing up on a small Caribbean island. Made me feel safe then, and that everything would be alright.
Today's so-called SINGERS can't touch her. We've lost so much. . .
