    @MegaVampirebella so that you can type Korean on your computer. To type Korean correctly, you should know which key represents which character. You can print out Korean keyboard layout and practice to get used to. Consonants are placed on the left side, while vowels on the right, so it will be not difficult to type.

  • @Tiqerboy

    I think the reason why 'ice' ends up as 3 syllables in Korean is because it's like that in Japanese and during the Japanese occupation, that is probably where a lot of those 'English' words came from. So, it would make sense for them to have a similar pronunciation in Korean as they would have in Japanese.

    • @KoreanClass101
      @KoreanClass101  9 лет назад

      Hi Tiqerboy,
      Thank you for posting.
      Korean and Japanese share some similarities.
      Meanwhile, there are many foreign words that are pronounced quite differently in the two languages as well. :)
      Regards,
      Claire
      Team KoreanClass101.com

    • @sjg4388
      @sjg4388 8 лет назад

      +Tiqerboy The reason it is in 3 syllables is because there isn't an s ending in korean. Only ㄱ(k), ㄴ(n), ㄷ(t), ㄹ(l), ㅁ(m), ㅂ(p), ㅇ(ng) can be pronounced in ending. If you write it 아잇 it would be 'Ait' not 'Ais'. It is true that we adopted a lot of words from Japanese. But this has nothing to do with the pronunciation of 'ice'.
