I actually think Load is one of their better albums. I'm into 2x4, Poor Twisted Me, The Outlaw Torn, Bleeding Me, King Nothing, The House that Jack Built. Just very expressive.
It's my first ever Metallics album after I listened to King Nothing and Mama said on MTV and purchased it as a teenager knowing nothing about Metallica. A hugely underrated album with all great songs that you mentioned. However my most favorite song of that album was Hero of the day followed by Until it sleeps and Bleeding me.
More than a decade ago- I happened to be playing this album & this song while I was taking off on an airplane for the first time. I don’t think I was allowed to, but I was so nervous.. it made the experience so surreal & will never forget it ✨

I really hope Metallica do a 2026 remake of this song and a lot on this album. Some of them are bad songs that could have been good.
It's almost uncool to like Metallica now. It's like all these kids have taken our cool thing from the 90's and made it naff🙄
