Hey, Pete! You forgot step 1: get in touch with your anger at, and disgust with, the world. As far as hair goes, Billy Milano said it best while in SOD: "It doesn't matter how you wear your hair, it's what's inside your head."
To play Doom, start with some Blues, take out the but about your woman leaving you and multiply how much you talk to the devil. Then buy a fuzz pedal and get reeeallly stoned.
I must be the only person who actually prefers most thrash band's ballads or slower songs over the crazy fast stuff. Like I love Tornado of Souls or Spit Out The Bone, but I also like A Tout Le Monde or The Thing That Should Not Be almost as much, sometimes more.
Don't forget E standard. As crazy as it may seem, E sounds much thrashier than Eb, D, or anything lower. With the exception of Slayer, thrash metal bands generally tuned to E standard and few songs they recorded in other tunings like The Thing That Should Not Be sound much less thrashy than the stuff recorded in E standard.
Nu-Metal! My band got labelled nu-metal, we didn’t mean to be but I’m now rolling with it as it’s making some kind of come back apparently! Great video, love thrash. 🤘🏻
Still my favourite subgenre of metal, it may be old and overplayed by now, but man do I love it to pieces!!! Next do prog metal. Let the dreamtheater flow through your bones, and the petrucci beard flow on your face!!!
Got triggered by the scooped mids part tho lol , a lot of Thrash bands use pushed Hard Rock tones that have a lot of mids in it, especially back in the 80s when this genre was most popular and alive
ahh yes, the anti-copyright-strike master of puppets
And over the wall
Paster of Muppets
And anti copyright version of dmg inc right after
The puppet master
Slave of Puppets
I'm educated now. I want Groove Metal to be next. Or Black Metal.
Groove metal : pantera
Prog could be cool too!
Black Metal is basically just nazi screamo.
That would be sick if he did one for groove metal! One of my fave subgenres along with Thrash and Alt. :)
@@MrDrTheJniac no, that's just blatantly wrong
You forgot about saying “Yeah” at least 100 times in one song
I think its in the copy metallica part
or "aaaaahaahahaaahaaaaaa....."
That's really more a problem with Hard Rock-era Metallica than Thrash Metallica, James didn't really start doing the yeahs excessively until then.
Young James was a completely different beast to "YeahYeAH" James from the Black Album and onward.
That’s a jab at Metallica, but Metallica hasn’t been thrash since they released Black album lmao
Wrists-aight Imma head out
Absolutely love how much guitar playing there is here. Other channels now a days turned into podcast. Lol
Or reactions.
*cough* Davie 504 even though he's a bass player *cough*
0:03 Metallica

You forgot to take your riffs and slice them and dice them in to small pieces, then paste them back together in random combinations.
Do u have a song example per chance?

Groove metal 101: Chunky riffs, technical grooves, clean ballads, crushing breakdowns, and camo, grey or black cargo shorts!
No shirt and mandatory a red dyed beard
Also half-shaven long hair.
yeah, i gotta say, after seeing that in a few videos, that Solar V definitely suits you!
You always know when Pete drops a new video it’s gonna be stacked with epic riffs!
The only thing that stands out more than your playing is that amazing finish on that Solar V.
Please, do a series of 101 metal style! It would be wonderful!
A crucial detail was left out:
Triplets, triplets, triplets.
"copy metallica"
*copies metallica riff that copies exodus*
Just curious which exodus song is it?

Down picking in between two strings so fast has always intrigued me. I've tried for years with no avail. You amazing.
That was fun, man. You're a beast, Pete!
Taking me back to the 80s! Not that I would know though being born in the 90s...
That 4 part guitar harmony was so good
Please do Melodic death metal ... GOTHENBURG Style!!! Eg.( At the gates, In flames, Dark Tranquility etc.)
the production quality of the video is insane!
Evile new single is cuming out tommoro
Really? That’s cool that’s one of those bands I’ve been waiting forever for new music. They have such a great thrash sound.
Black metal, bro! Your black metal chops are MONSTROUS and I need to learn from you haha
Please do more kinds of metal like this!
I've been watching your videos for a long time. Your riffs keep getting better and heavier. Loving the content brother. Keep it up man! \m/
Thanks! :)
I’d love to see a Melodic Death Metal 101
