The ring is incorporated in an Alpine Butterfly choke for a canopy anchor. This is to reduce the rope-on-rope friction that would be encountered at the Alpine Butterfly loop. I want a part two, or how do you secure it? TIA
Good tip, other things possible!

Cool trick👍 🇨🇦🇺🇸
I shared a much better option for this on my channel a few weeks ago.. great when you forget the ring first, and heaps neater than an alpine tip tie 🤙
I'll check it out!
I added a like because of the smooth ending too this video.
Would be cool if y’all did a video of which was y’all’s favorite rope on the website
We can work on getting something like this done, thanks!
haha, yes. as always a good tip.
cheers
So, this isn't like the "ring trick" in the movie "The Professional." ? Damn.
We refrained from the explosions 😆
So a quickie does same thing without the need of installing on rope first? Do u think this is superior in anyway to using a quickie for this?
Quickie would do the same thing, however this would another option if a ring was preferred.
for what reason?
Adding, the ring will remove the rope-on-rope friction.
So now you have a ring on the rope on the ground. What was the purpose of the ring?
