I was just going to write the same, I often wonder how many climbers truly climb a full mountain, without the Sherpa's paving the way, perhaps I'm being naive. I'm not saying it's easy at all but it's got to be easier than in the 50's when Hillary and Norgay were going up Everest.
Great video, the man achieved a heck of a lot for his age (or any age).......big up the Sherpa's as well.

Hats off Arjun bhai feeling extremely proud of you Sir. I am extremely avid fan/ follower of mountaineering. Its the highest passion of my life which remained only an unattempted dream as I spent my youth in the lower middle class rat race of career making while any 'offbeat' adventures like mountaineering was strictly forbidden by my family. Anyways at an age of 42 I am well settled with my career, but still I can see the beckons of the Himalayan heights. My latest passion is winter expedition to the 8000 ers. I spent this whole winter scouring into the progress of JOST KOBUSCH, ALEX TXIKON on Everest and Dennis Urubku on Broad peak and mingma sherpa battling with K2 with the Polish mountaineers. My dream is to see an Indian daredevil like you make a winter attempt on a major 8000 er like Mt Kangchenjunga. You may please take it as a challenge to your illustrious mountaineering career. I wish I could do in my most wishful daring dream. Please give it a thought. Wish you all the best in all your future endeavours. Jai Hind.

I met Arjun randomly in the Airport in Milan, Italy in the smoking room in 2017. We happen to be taking the same flight back to New Delhi, India. He casually borrowed a lighter from and we started chatting.. I had no idea he was famous and when we got to the part about jobs - he just said "I climb mountains". Then he told me the story and we spent some 15-20 mins chatting about him. Feels really really good to see this piece on him. Was a pleasure meeting this awesome person! All the best to you Arjun

LIVING BEING IS OUR RACE, MANKIND IS OUR RELIGION, HINDU,MUSLIM,SIKH,CHRISTAIN, THERE IS NO SEPARATE RELIGION
ALMIGHTY GOD KABIR is the father of all souls that JESUS, MOHAMMAD, GURU NANAK, VEDH was telling in BIBLE, QURAN, GURU GRANTHA SAHEB
.. In OLD Orthodox Jewish Bible KABIR is mentioned...KABIR means (GREAT or MIGHTY GOD) in hebrew...but when translated in different languages translator removed KABIR word..... www.jagatgururampalji.org/en/bible
Quran written in arabic has also KABIR word....KABIR means SUPREME in arabic..... www.jagatgururampalji.org/en/quran-sharif
In vedh also KABIR is mentioned.....
      www.jagatgururampalji.org/en/supreme-god-hinduism

U will get surprised that in Holy book of SIkh called PRAANSANGALI…. GURU NANAK himself described that LORD KABIR is his Guru and Lord KABIR met him..and in GURU GRANTHA SAHEB Guru Nanak called Lord kabir as kartar (GOD)..but todays Sikh says that GURU NANAK had no Guru........ www.jagatgururampalji.org/en/shri-guru-granth-sahib
Just by reading holy books it is impossible to get depth knowledge of Holy text because we are just a living beings.. In vedhas also KABIR is mentioned...our brain isnot capable and doesnot understands the secrets behind the words and world.....JESUS AND MOHAMMAD both were aware of LORD KABIR but later followers were not able to get depth knowledge .....In bible it is written that Jesus was son of FATHER... then WHO IS THE FATHER?

Brother/SISTER LORD KABIR has send the messenger in present time in the form of SAINT RAMPALJI MAHARAJ... BIBLE, QURAN, VEDH, GURU GRANTHA SAHEB are holy books of Christain, Hindu, MUlsim, SIKh & all these holy books are suggesting one ALMIGHTY GOD KABIR but today preachers of different religion doesnot understand the secrets thats why HUMAN society cannot get full benefits from ALMIGHTY GOD...As a result more and more people are becoming non believer.....

Such an amazing and inspirational documentary I've seen this morning, how I missed this these days, It made my morning, thanks VICE for producing this, "The mountain has to allow me to summit it", I strongly believe our brain is such a thing so much powerful than any computer, just like one day I strongly told myself to woke up at 4:30 AM (I was in a remote location where I don't have any electronics around me to help) just my dial watch and a compass i built, my brain helped me did that, it's still doing the same, feels like god has already given me an inbuilt alarm inside my head, In Arjun's situation he strongly wants to go home meet his mom and dad, and their parents words strongly registered in his brain, eventhough one side of his body got paralyzed he tried, he conquered his own death, that's the most inspirational part of the whole video for me.

This isn’t fair. You think the same Sherpa affix all the ropes from top to bottom? No - they divide those duties because they aren’t superhuman either and only the top Sherpa climbers work ropes and guide at the very top. Of course Sherpa climbers should be praised, but they are part of a team and themselves have great respect for the sorts of climbers like this guy, taking years to reach multiple 8000 meter peaks, but you call them jokes?
