Inventors of the South Tigris is the game I’m interested in from 2024. Love that series of games. Manifest Destiny is an excellent comic and now I’m interested in getting that game
Hey Mike, thanks for the Cascadero heads up. A lot of my favorite games are from Knizia. I also backed Andromeda's Edge beause of all the great things I've heard about Dwellings! Fingers crossed they will deliver something great!
I seem to have this issue that when I get a new game, I'll play it solo 5-6 times, maybe 8 times, and then I put it away and start getting excited about the next game I'll buy. Depending on the game, it might get played once or twice in my group, but then it seems to sit on the shelf, and I have a hard time pulling it back out later to be played again, even though I really enjoy it. What does that say about me and "the cult of the new"? Luckily, I am good about keeping my collection small (
Same here. I'm always looking forward to the next great game instead of playing the great games already on my shelf. I'm consciously avoiding buying new games right now because I have a big pile of shame.
Interesting list for sure. From watching a ton of DT videos I feel like Mike and I have similar tastes in games but none of these in this video are really on my radar at all. Now I feel like I need to take closer looks at some (and look into the ones I haven't heard of yet as well).
Mike......you and I are going to have to play some games some day. We are way to aligned on the games we like to play. Btw, have your checked out Windmill Valley coming out this summer? Looks fantastic!
For fun, I wrote down 10 games trying to predict what would be on Mike's list before I watched: Wyrmspan, Andromeda Edge, Creature Caravan, Arcs, Ezra & Nehemiah, Inventors of ST, Dragon Eclipse, Kelp, Cascadero, Wondrous Creatures... I might watch too much Dice Tower.
I am pulling out my hair, and I am really hoping someone on here can help me. I know I saw a campaign somewhere (I don't remember if it was Kickstarter, Gamefound, or what) with a comment from Mike that the game is "better than Catan," but I can't for the life of me remember what game it was, and I haven't been able to find it since. It's a game that's either live now or will be soon. Does anyone have any idea which game this may have been?
The name Ryan Laukat has become synonymous with storytelling games, and that's legit because those storytelling games are exceptional. But beyond that he's just a good game designer, and does his due diligence with playtesting, clear iconography, etc. Some of my favorite games are from Red Raven that feature no storytelling whatsoever. Very much looking forward to Creature Caravan as well this year. It's going right up on the shelf.
Been enjoying my time with the prototype of Corps of Discovery, but seeing that it’s Kickstarting in April, I’d say that’s one that definitely won’t be coming this year.
I’m a simple man. If Mike Dilisio recommends it, I buy it. Period.
@@enorma29 @nurseruben5431 I call that Genius..
to be fair, he's only anticipating them.. havent played them yet.
Out of everyone in the dice tower, I find Mike resonates with my list the most!
My Most Anticipated part of 2024: MORE MIKE DILISIO....NATIONAL TREASURE.
Major Internet Celebrity
The pinnacle of boardgame media!
Appreciate Mike so much!
Inventors of the South Tigris is the game I’m interested in from 2024. Love that series of games.
Manifest Destiny is an excellent comic and now I’m interested in getting that game
Good list. Half of these would make my own list as well, and several others are on my radar but I want to see more about them first. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing, Mike! Love hearing your thoughts and opinions. You've got great taste in games!
Very excited for Arcs by Leder Games!
Hey Mike, thanks for the Cascadero heads up. A lot of my favorite games are from Knizia. I also backed Andromeda's Edge beause of all the great things I've heard about Dwellings! Fingers crossed they will deliver something great!
Is Cascadero a completely new game or is it a reprint of one of is his old games?
@@ClaudiaRodriguez-yq1qx New design! Excited to see how it turns out!
Signature shirt! It's like a Members Only jacket, but it shirt

Aah Mike, you never let me down. Your #1 is my most anticipated game of the year, too.
Really hyped too by Andromeda's Edge and Kelp!!
I wasn't aware about Wondrous Creatures and Corps of discovery, both sounds really cool 😊
- Samson
Those are the two games on this list that I've backed.
Yes me too! 😉

Nice list--something to look forward too! A lot of sea themed art in the background.

I would love to see Mike check out Earthborne rangers, excellent solo campaign.
For someone who likes root and oath I am interested why Arcs didn't make the list? Was it already on a previous list?
Thanks for the video
No Atlas Lost or Biohack? Love the picks though. Looking forward to wondrous creatures.
Mike, you make me laugh, thanks for sharing your list!
Mike! ❤️
I’d love a Top Ten Hidden Movement list… Kelp, Mind MGMT, Captain Sonar, Run, Sniper Elite, Mr Jack, etc. how do all these stack up? Why?
Sand looks super cool!

Backed Kelp, can't wait to get it
Corpse of Discovery sounds like a Dead of Winter spinoff I'd be completely in for
I’m excited for the new gi joe axis and Allies. Heroscape reprint too.
Good work Mike
Please show the actual game photos for a longer period of time. Even if it's just off to the side where you're showing the box covers.
4:55 you just 'Bill & Ted most excellent adveture'd this video!!!
I wish others have made the video Tom have made - Look back on the most anticipated list of 2023.

I too am a cultist... (of the new.)
Bring forth the new games!
My most anticipated is Chip Theory Games new Elder Scrolls games based on the Too Many Bones system!
Devir is Brazilian in origin (not Spanish).
Mike is a man of exquisite taste. When the aliens invade, they will only serve him at the most expensive and exclusive 5 star restaurants.
Been enjoying my time with the prototype of Corps of Discovery, but seeing that it’s Kickstarting in April, I’d say that’s one that definitely won’t be coming this year.
Basket Boss has a solo mode?
no Galactic Cruise? 🚀
#7 Sand? ...Anakin's gonna hate this one!
Puppies are adorable
No way Corps of Discovery makes it out this year
I'm most looking forward to the Lord's of Vegas Americana expansion.
Is Chris doing the subtittles? Lol😂
None of these games are on my list. But I am interested in dark chronicles.
iirc the dark quarter is more like Destinies than Chronicles of Crime
EDIT: No Arcs???
my #1, Dark Quarter...please be good, please be good, please be good.
What? Not one card game or trick taking game? Need a top 10 anticipated card games list!
Another long-form opt-in advertisement I self-select into.
#8: CoC & Destinies
Mike it’s ok. We forgive you that you couldn’t remember the games name until you finally did.
what? NO, DARK QUARTER is not CoC implementation. It's DESTINIES formats, but change it into coop mode.
Wondrous Creatures- a game about made up fantastical creatures? Meh, I'll pass. Sounds too nerdy.
