Nice set up! Reminds me that I have to hit the reloading bench, and do 9mm, 45's, 10mm, and some 30-06, and .243's. Nope, don't shoot nearly as much as you do, but I get to shoot enough. I shoot on private property, and when I am finished, my hands ache. But, it is a good feeling, knowing I have accomplished what I set out to do. Enjoy your Dillon. I have heard nothing but good things about them. However, I will stick with my RCBS. New Sub!
what is that setup and how much is it and where can I get one? I really want to get into reloading my own rounds. Its a valuable skill and a much needed one at that. Thanks for your uploading! keep up the good work.
Was it really as easy as you make it on this video? Or, are there some nuances that we should be aware of? I'm getting one pre-set for 9 mm but I really want to know what to expect when I've got to put the pieces together. Thx in advance for any insight you can provide.
357 Mag Guy 2015 yeah, I did think it was pretty easy, I looked at the instructions for a minute and figured it out pretty quick. If I had seen this video, it probably would have been even easier. :) The machine arrives to you mostly assembled, it kind of goes together like Legos.
Hell, I'm sure Dillon loved the plug! Maddy and I load on a Lee 3 stage now and its just too slow. The 1050 will be the upgrade. And it looked like you were using nylon bullets? Interesting. How is that working out?
You're too cute with that smile. I reload all my calibers on a single stage, but I bet I don't shoot nearly as many rounds every week as you do. Probably only 200 - 300 on a good week. Most of that is 44 magnum these days, but I did start rolling my own 45 AUTO recently. What were those projectiles? Were they powder coated lead 9mm? Nice rig BtW. Stay safe, ok?
saw your read was "3.2". what recoil spring weight are you using. I have loaded 3.0 titegroup with a 13 # spring in my g34 and it is incredibly smooth now.
Hey Hook !!! Theres a couple things you can do to make the machine run perfect... I like at the end you look like a kid ... all happy with your new toy ... LOL crack me up.
How do you like your Dillon? I was too cheap to buy the Dillon so I opted for the Hornady LNL progressive. Do you reload both your plinking rounds and your competition rounds?
legalsolutions07 Hiya, right now I reload all my pistol ammo. If I had an ammo sponsor it might be a different story, but for now, it's all me because that's the cheapest for me. :)
You may want to submit some of your vids to several ammo mfg. PR departments and let them know you're seeking an ammo sponsor. You have enough views, you shoot well and you're female. That's the demographic that is the most sought after by the gun world. More women buying guns means more ammo sold. Good luck.
2:20 Federal case (FC headstamp) getting a partially decapped spent prime forced back into the primer pocket by the swaging rod. 2:25 FC case with fucked up swaged primer jammed in a now fucked up primer pocket is all out of shape and now has locked up the shell plate from indexing to the next station. Moral of the story: the Dillon decapper in the Dillon sizing and decapping die completely sucks for decapping FC/Federal/American Eagle cases
I bought this Dillon Super 1050 from a friend for $1500 (dies included). I paid about $550 for my Dillon RL550 (brand new) about 1 year prior to this. I upgraded to the 1050 for the speed, but more importantly, I had the extra money to burn. If I didn't have the money, I would still be content with the 550. I do recommend reloading, as the ammo I produce is far more enjoyable to shoot than factory stuff. And also, if there is ever an ammo shortage in stores due to political scares (Obama caused shortages a few times) I am not as affected by them. I tend to buy components in bulk, to outlast any shortages. Thanks for watching my videos! :) Jess
Zachary Greenawalt Probably has something to do with it being the single best (nobody can argue this) progressive press on the market. If I could afford it I would have one of these things automated for 300blk in a heartbeat.
Emmanuel Mata Hello :) It was the friction of the "dry" case (empty shell) going into the "dry" dies. Adding some case lube fixed the problem immediately.
With a 1050 you will be buying replacement firearms because you shoot so much more you've worn the first few out. Most expensive saving I've ever done :D
Jessica Hook Awesome Thank you. I have been using a reloading stand made out of plastic with a metal pole and it flexes all over the place and just sucks haha.
Sweet Jesus.. Now I can tell Santa what I want for X-mas. And I'm not talking about the Dillon.. I have the Hornady AP press. My dream is to have a 1050 with Autodrive.. Ohh yeah. A good way I found to get a good average of powder drop is to drip powder 10 times (or more really) in a container and get the average of that.
Thank you. Its nice to see a well edited instructional video without someone giving endless opinions.
Cool reloader. I hear the Dillons are fantastic. Light years ahead of the rock chucker I used to use a million years ago. Enjoy it in good health!
I'm going to buy the 1050 next week. I went by their store and looked at the different models. The 1050 seemed liked the best one.

I liked your clean, methodical approach while assembling and mounting the press. Awkward silence, and focus is good, when reloading. ;-)
You rock on with your awkward silence! ;) Nice job, reloading FTW!!
That Was Like Watching An Opera. Pure Art. :)
Oh no, she is reloading... I see more practice and better scores in your future. Watch out competition! Cool stuff Jessica!
She's been reloading, this is just a new machine.
what is that setup and how much is it and where can I get one?
I really want to get into reloading my own rounds. Its a valuable skill
and a much needed one at that. Thanks for your uploading! keep up the good work.
Best DIY video i have ever seen. When you reload 9mm call me i will bring my brass.
Best reloading video I've ever seen!
Total nerd out! I love it...

You should do a video on reloading, like a tips and tricks.
saw your read was "3.2". what recoil spring weight are you using. I have loaded 3.0 titegroup with a 13 # spring in my g34 and it is incredibly smooth now.
Hey Hook !!!
Theres a couple things you can do to make the machine run perfect...

Hey Hook, i am gonna say something stupid like that to make you wanna contact me,,,,,
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
What an awesome press!!! Love the video!
cool, hope to see more competition videos soon!
this is the first time i've seen a reloading machine asmr. LOL!
A lady at the helm, I love it.
That is one fancy espresso machine :)
is there any end to your talents.

Good video thanks I use Berry's bullets.
Reloading like a pro........wait you are a pro, LOL. Looking good too.
I remember my first dillon press. Square deal....i wore it out.
Need to talk more, that way we get to see you more! Nice video !
anyone know what kind of bullets those are? i've never seen green bullets before.
What a smile.
This was actually pretty helpful
Case lube needed: 1 part Lanolin Oil, 10 parts 91% Rubbing alcohol
2:20 Federal case (FC headstamp) getting a partially decapped spent prime
forced back into the primer pocket by the swaging rod.
2:25 FC case with fucked up swaged primer jammed in a now fucked up primer pocket is all out of shape and now has locked up the shell plate from indexing to the next station.

I still say, if I were to start reloading I'd buy the 1050.
I am so jealous. :(. Happy father's day. I know your not byt waaaaaaaa.
How much was it, with all the dies and accessories total? Is it worth it over buying ammo?
It's not just about dollars. Reloading is a great way to further connect with your firearms. A sense of accomplishment is well worth the time spent.
a 1050 with dies is around 1600$, Mr bullet feeder is 500$.
Is it worth it? depends on who you are and what your goals are.

How much per round would you say you save with this?
Sei veramente bravissima Jessica ❤
Like a kid with their own gumball machine!
All i can say is wow
Why did you choose this reloader over others?
Zachary Greenawalt Probably has something to do with it being the single best (nobody can argue this) progressive press on the market. If I could afford it I would have one of these things automated for 300blk in a heartbeat.
how is it working?
carriage bolts!?
Why carriage bolts?
at the end of the video, why was it so hard to pull the handle down?
Emmanuel Mata Hello :) It was the friction of the "dry" case (empty shell) going into the "dry" dies. Adding some case lube fixed the problem immediately.
Cool thanks
The Dillon 1050 is delivered with carbide dies so you do not need case lube, right? For 1600$ it must include carbide dies?
Cheers.
lube it all....even pistol.....even carbide dies. Hornady OneShot case lube spray works well.
Nordmann61 - Your post is from 5 months ago. Did Dillon raise the price 300 dollars in that time?
Awesome! Think of all the money you'll save reloading... then shooting more, then reloading more, then shooting more, then reloading....
wait...
With a 1050 you will be buying replacement firearms because you shoot so much more you've worn the first few out. Most expensive saving I've ever done :D
Pretty awesome!
Outstanding
Cool video
Are those Bayou Bullets?
rushthezeppelin Hiya, Yes they're Bayou Bullets :)
Donnie sure does make some great bullets at a great price. I love using his 150gr SWCs in my 9mm.
Where does one get that little table.?
It's an Ikea "BEKVÄM Kitchen cart" for $60, and it works great!! :D www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30240348/
Jessica Hook
Awesome Thank you. I have been using a reloading stand made out of plastic with a metal pole and it flexes all over the place and just sucks haha.
Jessica Hook
Shoot, thought of a question after the reply. Did you mount the press on the wheel side or the post side of the table?
whit3strat
The post side of the table, and I put my reloading components on the shelves. It's been an awesome, totally stable, table.
Jessica Hook
Great Time to make a trip to Ikea. Thanks again! :)
You are so fanny!!! Great machine... Nice job!!!
Nice!!
People still get tax returns?
🤗
Such a pretty smile!

Yeas you are
It's too awkward for me. Sorry. Steal some music from the "How it's made" videos.
Hi, just wondering are u married
Why is a dude putting it all together and operating it? Look at the hands! Obviously a man's. I thought this was a woman's video? Clickbait big time!
Nice!!
