Phew I really hope people who bought this camera at least know how to mount a lens! I just got this camera in and I am soooooooooo flipping excited. Thank you for the guide video!
Jason is an amazing person and professional who wants to help people. Thank you for being selfless and so kind. Your RUclips channel is just perfect. Thank you! 🙏🏽
@@Jason_Hermann It's a great pleasure to watch your videos. As usual good explaining about the product and I have also a question about zoom.. When you select from the camera the digital zoom, can you use also in the same time the manually zoom from the lens?! Kind regards.. 😎🙏
@@Jason_Hermann I have a little tip for your FX3 top handle.. For the shotgun mic like your sennheiser to fit perfectly you have to buy a Sony Microphone Spacer and will be perfect in the mic support.. Maybe you know that but I just wanna help if it's the case! 🙏 Kind regards.. 😁
Hello Jason long time no talk . I had my Fx3 a few months it’s my 6th one I buy and give up now I just got discharged from a bad virus that caused me a very padded pneumonia and I would like to know the rasiest way to set up my can and start shooting movies of course with your help please ! Kay did you get what I am asking is just how to try learning the easiest way and use it I was trading it from Cardinal camera to the FX6 thinking it’s easier to use . Themis camera is less than 6 months old and the use isn’t even 1 hour trying to learn how to use it . But it’s a bit difficult with the stroke I had I am having a bit of difficulties but if you can just point me to an easy way just to start thx
This camera sits right next to the A7S III pretty much. It's Sony's base model Cinema camera with A7S III guts. So it's technically not a hybrid like the A7S III, but it is still has all the hybrid camera functions minus the viewfinder I guess... Strange I know, but it is really well built and awesome to use so far! It's also full frame. I'll be reviewing it after I get some more practice with it ;)
According to the specs it is "somewhat compatible". I have a feeling due to the USB-C only on the A7C, some feature won't work just like my Ronin RSC 2... The gimbal itself should work fine though for balancing...
Thanks for the comments John and that depends on what you consider valuable when it comes to specific features... I think it's and incredible price point considering these features were only available on $7K+ Cinema cameras only a few years ago... The technology keeps trickling down and know we have those capabilities in much smaller camera bodies as apposed to big large camera systems... With that being said, it is still a lot of money for sure, and if you don't "need" the features it offers, then it is certainly not the camera for you. The A7 IV is currently the best option for the money overall I would say for hybrid shooters... The FX3 is also a hybrid camera, but way "movie focused". With no viewfinder it is not as good for taking photos of moving subjects and things like that. Especially in bright conditions! All the best, John
First here, thanks Jay
Your very welcome and I really hope the video helps get you going Tilly! :)
man, idk how people invent all these features and everything. Definitely worth the $$$

Isnt the first base ISO 800 on the FX 3? Same as FX 6
👏🏻 awesome
Thx you
12:00 In Sony FX3, can we playback faster scrubbing the footage with the finger on the touch screen? Thanks.
I don't have the camera in hand, but I do not believe that works as it doesn't work on my A6700 or A7C II for example.
Dope
Nice

This is based on an old firmware or does my firmware need updating? Things look very different in my end
Original firmware...
@@Jason_Hermann ahh ok thanks
Where does this camera fit in the line up.
I have an a6600, is this better than that?

Fx3 is a mini cinema camera great for portability for photographers/videographers that are on the go.
Anyone can tell me please feiyutech ak9000c gimbal it’s does work with Sony a7c ???????????

Who buys the FX3 to shoot still photos… That’s like buying a Tesla to drive to your mailbox.
I don't think anybody buys it for that specific purpose, but the fact that the camera can also take great photos is also true.
Is it also easy for videos
Nice camera but it is far too expensive. Sony is price gouging.
