I am from Argentina and i completely agree the responsability was 80% Conmebol 10% US 10% fans breaking the law. Because even if US is responsible for security then Conmebol has the obligation to check that it is done right, They didn´t, so the responsability belongs to Conmebol. offensive rather than defensive philosophy of play, this gives spectacle, twists and turns, talent. We, football lovers who are called "the romantics" whose motto is "to win in style and to enthuse the supporters"; We want to see technical players (dribbling and passing precision), vision of the game, science of movement, in short, mastery even if the game is a little slower! to the detriment of the other category of supporters called the "pragmatics" whose motto is "only victory is beautiful, no matter how", last night (Spain's victory at Euro 2024) and this night (with Argentina's victory). Justice was done in the sense that the teams who offered play, offensive actions, spectacle in some way won. It’s football’s victory!
It was not an event organized only by CONMEBOL, it was organized by USA and did not pay attention to the suggestions of CONMEBOL, anyone who goes to a FOOTBALL event in South America knows that there should be 5 safety rings and in this one there was only one. If the USA organizes the World Cup like this with these horrible fields that are useless to play on + how insecure the country is, it will end badly. And what about putting on a show at halftime? What was that? This is football, it does not need more emotion, it is a waste of time and undermines the players' performance.

Using a small stadium to host the final of one of the greatest sports in the world this was doomed from the beginning they should have used a bigger stadium and enclosed at least i noticed how the teams were pouring sweat that mean they needed to be hydrated constantly
I don't know who he is and what he is talking about. It clearly seems that he doesn't know anything about football and every time he brings out super bowl. Football is way bigger and beyond any sport.
People without tickets should not be allowed that close to the entrance in the first place, they're clearly not ready to organize this. This is not the superbowl and it's definitely not the same crowd attending. A country like the USA that's kind of 'out of touch' with the football culture should put in more effort if they want to host this massive events.
Well I think Argentina being the defending world champions and South American and champion of all the America's, Argentina did deserve to win since they beat Colombia in the final which had an unbeaten streak. Being 16 time champion of the Americas North, Central and South America it sets the pace for the other two big title holders in South America Uruguay and Brazil who have 15 and 9 title among the men's team and these 3 teams alone are light years ahead of all the other teams in South America. I don't think the organization by conmebol was good, it was very poor. But the tournament was very entertaining and I enjoyed the Shakira show. But overall I feel annoyed by the lack of extra times in the Copa America knock off games when the Euro's happened to have that. High ticket prices, VAR refs making mistakes on penalties like the one for Brazil and grass without the official dimensions was a serious problem. Despite the fact it was not a well organized tournament it was good to see all the teams of America participate with both Conmebol and Concacaf teams coming together to play for the continental championship of all America the continent. I hope the Fifa world cup and Fifa club world cup which will be organized by Fifa in 2025 and 2026 does a much better job then the Copa America hosts which was a total mess.

Conmebol try to do the filters but the state authorities didn’t allow it. Facts.
Maybe Great Messi should stay with the national team but come in as a sub like Lautaro Martinez does. I am a BIG MESSI fan but clearly it's physically impossible for him to play the entire match. Honestly it's excruciating to watch him to suffer like that (poor performance and injury like that). MESSI does not need to prove anything. Angel Di Maria was Excellent, and he made the right decision to retire (perfect timing). He should be part of the future coaching staff if that's something he wants to do
I am from Argentina and i completely agree the responsability was 80% Conmebol 10% US 10% fans breaking the law. Because even if US is responsible for security then Conmebol has the obligation to check that it is done right, They didn´t, so the responsability belongs to Conmebol. This happens all the time with Conmebol, not just in US. Also happened in Brasil and other countries.
Messi wasnt a factor? He influence a Lot important plays that end up in goals, thstbdide know football is more than goals and assist? He help in the outcome. Obviously he was not the Best but he affects the outcome
He played awful all the tournament
The influence and psychological impact is greater than the assist or goal from Messi
He wasn’t I’m Colombian and the player that scared me the most was Di Maria, he always puts Argentina on his back!! What an absolutely incredible career.
@@nicolasrecupero3026😢😢Brainless
Of course. Messi is essentially the creative force behind everything argentina creates.
The cream always rises to the top.
Game was not delayed for 82 minutes bc fans rushed the gates. It’s was delayed bc fans were hurtled like cattle. Delayed bc organizers had no business organizing this event. More checkpoints farther from the stadium would have solved a lot of this
IN FOOTBALL ARGENTINA IS THE GOAT.
Alexi Lalas your opinion will never matter.
@Diegoxo9: Are you insulting Alexi Lalas? Back off!!😳
@@terefefeyssa877no, he is not insulting him, just stating facts… he has always been an underrated defender and worse commentator
@nelsonseelig8817 : Underrated defender? 🙄
And worse, commentator?😳
That is too much. 😠
Eso de los perímetros de seguridad se hace aca en Argentina desde hace rato y se logran reducir los amontonamientos o asaltos masivos a la seguridad. No son super bowls son partidos comunes de la liga de fútbol
This is the best sport ever that small stadium can't resist the pressure
Messi the G.O.A.T 🐐
All they do is disrespect Argentina, and Columbia
US stadium are not prepared with this kind of crowd
Not when a lot of the fans act like animals.
@@Juanchih But they are. Is not that difficult
Makes the argument that Messi is an old man feasting on weak MLS competition a little less convincing.
💯
@@EniyanValentine Do you need buckets to contain your wailing tears?
Wrong. He proved he is not at the level required
@@ortforshort7652 he is an old man in football terms now but he’s earn’t the right to wind down the clock in Miami. I’d be surprised if we see him in an Argie shirt anymore and i dare say, he’ll play this and next season with Miami and that will be it. The man owes the game nothing, it owes him!
@@nicolasrecupero3026 as a from the beginning Messi fan, you are right. I hope he see’s it first and it doesn’t see him. A great way to go out winning the Copa as captain but the team now know that they will be ok without him and Di Maria.
offensive rather than defensive philosophy of play, this gives spectacle, twists and turns, talent.
In regards Shakira’s performance - I don’t think she should’ve perform period !!!! It went over a half time and it was not fair to players
International quadruple..
Lalas comparing a football final with a Superbowl shows he doesn't understand football, lmao
All coaches think about replacements, due to wear and tear and areas; Scaloni plans the changes, before the game, to kill at the right moment. He is a great strategist!!
You people (West) would have lectured and blamed other people if it happened there..😃 . we're familiar with your game. 🙏Learn to accept, you need that further 😂
Para entender realmente el fútbol, hay que entender su folclore y todo lo que significa para cada cultura. Cuando dicen que Argentina se crece ante las adversidades... Es cierto, pero no termina sólo ahí. Abrazo de gol!
NO OFFENSE BUT SUPERBOWL IS INSIGNIFICANT BESIDE WIN A WORLD CUP OR AMERICAN CUP FOOTBALL.
0:04 three substitutes, Paredes steals the ball, touches to Lo Celso who touches to Lautaro.
Learn from Qatar 2022
CONMEBOL warned about it for a reason, it is the hosts fault for rejecting the suggestion to filter the attendees in 3 stages.
Using a small
stadium to host the final of one of the greatest sports in the world this was doomed from the beginning they should have used a bigger stadium and enclosed at least i noticed how the teams were pouring sweat that mean they needed to be hydrated constantly
I don't know who he is and what he is talking about. It clearly seems that he doesn't know anything about football and every time he brings out super bowl. Football is way bigger and beyond any sport.
The fields were a disaster. All the teams complained about it
People without tickets should not be allowed that close to the entrance in the first place, they're clearly not ready to organize this.
USA can't manage 2026 wc like this 😮
