I've said this before, but what I love about Chase's builds is they're never too concerned about soft caps. Where I'm trying to finangle 45/45 to soft-cap hybrid talismans, or go for 54 strength or 80 dex, Chase is just like "yeah, 35 or 36 int and faith is fine, I want enough endurance for my fashion."
I mean, AR is good but really you don't get much of a damage increase from levels. It's really just better to level what you need most, rather than min maxing damage.
you can hit someone as many times as you want, but you can only look good once
In most cases you're not going to be doing much hybrid stuff at 120 since the hybrid seals like Claw and DC are 45/45 which just that and 60 vigor gets you basically to 120 before even considering weight, fp, etc. But 60 Faith and Vigor is 101 so you still have a few options, if you just want a dagger you slap a buff on you can do 80 Faith with 60 vigor at 121 but since buff damage is optimized around hit count you're just going to R1 spam most of the time. True hybrids don't really open up until 140-150 where you can cover the health/damage/utility breakpoints you want and with a lot of the recent nerfs I feel like damage is pretty fine outside of thrusting swords cause of how fast they are and all their counter hit multipliers
It's often the difference between 10-30 points of damage and with the pokemon style "he lived on 1hp so you wouldn't be sad" mechanic it doesn't matter to go for one more hit in the end.
Also piose is a big factor
STD Warrior was a cool build, using bleed/poison/rot together. True to his name.

One of my absolute favourite swords - such a beautiful looking weapon and the ash of war is so unique. I really hope the dlc brings more unique weapons like this to the game with unique stats to boot! Keep up the great work dude!
It's a crime this sword isnt a catalyst of some sort.
@@nunull6427 How would that work? The R1 would need to be for casting and the L2 would have to be a stance type ash of war. Like an L2 followed by an R1 or R2 input
@@eliasgalindo5578 remove the ash, have l2 or "ash" cast. Alternatively the old ds3 "swap heavy for casting" and retain r1 or base light attack.
@@nunull6427 Oh, but it is a catalyst! Kind of. What with the flame sweep and mini azure comet. Honestly I really like the flexibility of this AoW without having to spend memory slots and it being on-demand without having to flip between all your spells.
Elden ring would be perfect if we had complete diversity in crafting builds. We need more weapons and spells that can scale out of Int and Arcane, int and faith like such, arcane faith etc.
I sometimes wonder if the players that heal in duels are just unaware of the etiquette.
I'd never have known that it's not done, had I not started watching these videos.
I don't PVP (yet), but I love the weapons showcases, and enjoy watching what game play for a very skilled player looks like.
I also love the great attitude and the commentary.

I think that's often the case. I just repeatedly chug the rest of my estus over their dead body after the duel. Hopefully that let's them know that something's up and that they should look up the dueling etiquette. Pointing down could just be seen as normal bm and I genuinely want to educate them.
Once i had duelist let me heal lol and we went for round 2
It's a mix, sometimes I write to some of them and they tell me that weren't aware of it...and then there is the scum, very often recognizable even by the builds...
I remember getting kicked from my first duel in elden ring for drinking.
I was RIGHT through my first Sword of Night and Flame playthrough when they buffed it. For pve the ability to aim the Comet Azur was especially handy, and overall changes to weapon arts so that the weapon is a hit box is just a net positive change for pvp, especially with things like the halo scythes weapon art.
Anyways, great showcase as ever!
My first run through the game was literally intended from the get-go for this weapon, I prioritized building my stats to meet the requirements for it ASAP, (even to the point of neglecting my Vigor stat for a while, but I didn't really care since I was fine going with a "glass cannon" build for a while) and I loved using it. Only stopped using it after I beat Malenia and re-specced my stats to be better suited to using Malenia's Hand and other DEX weapons (I kinda want to try a build with Dex weapons that apply ailments, particularly a weapon like the Antspur Rapier which can inflict multiple ailments at once, and is one of the very few Scarlet Rot weapons in the game). I just wish there was a Scarlet Rot inflicting katana or equippable Ash of War. I've never really tried an ailment-focused build in a Souls game before, so Elden Ring is the first time I've been seriously considering trying it.
I have since begun trying out the Beastman's Cleaver lately.

surprised i haven't seen you use the miquellan knight's sword? changing between charging and tapping the unique r2 feels very effective to me. I use it together with sonaf here for even more surprise potential. Also, the fashion is above the bar combining these two? Elden Lord indeed

if someone uses crimson flask in duel i usually will unlock form them, turn away turn back turn away turn back sorta like "you fr dude?" then after I beat them I chug all my flasks in front of them lol
I remember finding this sword at launch and respeccing to try it and just being blown away at its broken damage pre nerf. Had to stop using it as it would absolutely shred bosses but it's still fun to be OP once in a while.
I was very unimpressed when finding this sword, after all the OMGZ ITS BROKEN OP SWORD.

I'm very very new to elden ring just played about 12hours in last 3 days and getting overwhelmed over the depth and information of the game and decided to quit after some exploration but damn man watching u play like a champ against multiple foes , i realized how fun this game is if one can truly understand the game .

Hey Chase, have you tried the Zweihander on poison infusion? It’s my favourite weapon to use.

Cragblade nets you all the AR you would lose giving it a status, works with bleed and frost too. The poison mist on colossal swords gives a very strong horizontal slash as well, if you prefer a more diverse moveset.
Warning: cragblade is canceled if you are stunned while pulling the blade out.

After three playthroughs, this is my favorite weapon in the game. Simple, strong, versatile, and so beautiful...
How do you do the backstep thrust move? I try but I always roll instead

So a mage? Hes done it before but definitely can do again for buffed spells.
The only spells that really are noticeable after the buff are the bubble spells but they still arent great after the quick casting nerf mages just arent as good unless they spam carian slicer sadly.

Unseen Blade with Vacuum Slice AOW would be great for a Saber cosplay build!
The way it was before you always hit the ground with the beam if the ground was even slightly not even or you’d shoot over them… it missed all the time against even game enemies, hitting players was really hard with the beam and most of the time I just manually aimed both of the weapon arts.
Can I ask how do you have so many builds for these weapons? Are you just farming larval tears somehow and respecing?

I recently switched my faith character to the Gargoyle Blackblade from the wings scythe and it's pretty good! I found some weird weapons along the way too! Haha i was so proud of my kill that I started using the blade but it's super easy to wield and does damage.

The damage and range of the ash of war is still fucking scary. Good thing they didn't make it faster. Still one of the strongest pve options.
i love these weapons so much and the fact they got buffed only makes it sweeter..once u have 30 strength dex int and faith this weapon is really good at wrecking anything due to the 3 damage sources they get
