I have been nature journaling for a while and this past January I started a "country diary" project. It's been a great challenge and my framework for it is very similar to yours! Setting a goal to post a video update each month on what I created and having a goal of pages to complete have helped me so much! We are now nearing the end of the year, and my journal is almost complete! I am already so excited about new ideas for my new nature journal I'll be starting in January. Thank you for capturing your journey and sharing it.
Your journal sounds so lovely! So glad you are Nature journaling and enjoying the discoveries of everything around you. Thanks for sharing your story and for watching the video😊🌿🌸🍂
I have never seen this done before in a journal and I absolutely love it! Your instructions were super clear and the final product looks fantastic 😍 Also thanks a lot for making all measurements in cm, converting inches into centimeters with precision has always been a challenge for me. Thank you very much for a great tutorial, I am definitely going to try it for my journal🌷
So glad to find this. As I watched you make the waterfall notebook, Ikept thinking about making it into a card for my 3 year old granddaughter. Yep-just like you, it reminded me of kids books! Thank you for this idea. Brilliant to add to a nature journal! or a homemade book!
The video is great!!!!! Amazing!!!! Thank you. Your work is very helpful!!!!!I Inspiring I am delighted because thanks to these videos I also create something cool.
That’s a fun addition, but I think that’s the hard way to make a waterfall element. You just need the three squares with an extra 1/4 to 1/2 inch hinge at the top. If you want to mount the watercolor paper on a matte the way you did go ahead and do that. Then fold each hinge to the back, glue the portion that was the front of the hinge and is now the back, and glue them directly into your journal with the hinges stacked as you have shown the pages stacked on your mechanism. This version doesn’t have a pull-tab, you flip up each page independently. I find these work better than this version and you still have your journal area beneath the last page to use if you like. Plus you can use both sides if you haven’t matted the page, or you can add another page to the back of your matting pieces to use if you like.
I love your nature diaries for being more than simple nature journals. I love the smal extras, the pressed plants in an envelope, in this video the waterfall and all those ideas stolen from cardmaking and scapbooking and junk journaling. This is exactly what I am looking for. Thank you so much for your ideas and please do more of these little "addings", but be careful. There might be a point of being too much. I don't know.
This is such a fun element that I didn't know about! I have a fondness for Monarch Butterflies and Milkweed, so the whole video was a joy to watch! Thank you for sharing.
