    thanks for taking the time to watch the install of this engine we built. It does run into some other things that need to be addressed in future vids but it's in and running now! here is a link to the startup video in case you wanted to skip ahead for that.

    Looks like possibly a heat issue where the electrical is mounted from that header.. Beautiful Build Bro..

      thanks for the comment. Now that you mention it i watched the video and it seems like its alot closer than it is.
      the headers are also ceramic coated inside and out to help contain the heat.
      the wiring that is within 3 inches of the exhaust is wrapped with heat wrap so that should help aswell.
      thanks for the compliment! and good eye for spotting this!! sometimes the camera plays tricks on us!!

      absolutely it is!! why would it be a waste?? if you love the vehicle then build it how you dream ( like my 68 ) there will always be people telling you it's dumb or a waste but those are the people in life that never do anything. build it how you envision it and go have some fun! if we can help let us know.

    • @710Garage
      @710Garage  5 лет назад +1

      thanks for the comment. my car was an auto from the factory but its an easy swap to make it manual.
      on my car i used some cheapy hedman headers. as i figured i would have to modify. but they fit absolutely perfectly. the only thing i did was add an o2 bung before ceramic coating inside and out.

      @@710Garage really appreciate prompt reply!! From what I can see, are they shorty headers or long tube? No interference with anything clutch related, steering column? • @710Garage
      @710Garage  5 лет назад

      @@jaycavanagh9630 they are long tube headers, and have no issue with anything!!! the car has been swapped to manual steering rack and also a cable clutch instead of the linkage it would have had from the factory.

      @@710Garage Want to keep the power steering stuff, figured clutch cable would provide clearance issues, we are not hot up here like so many of the southern states but would like to have the A/C. Now wanting to run the A/C pump, power steering pump, alternator, and Novi (of course) do you know of a March bracket/pulley system that would work? Also thinking about shaving my shock towers and go the an updated front clip. This project will be over a few years I figure, hoping to get kids and grandkids involved. We are up in BC Canada if wondering.

    • @710Garage
      @710Garage  5 лет назад

      sounds like you are planning out an awesome build!!
      I wanted manual everything i could to make the system alot less prone to failure. and to be honest even with the 255s up front you can hardly tell its manual brakes or steering. im VERY impressed.
      AJE makes an awesome setup that uses foxbody rack and struts in the front end i wish i would have gone with, instead of what i did. BUT im here now and not going back.
      i know that you can get a pass side mount for the NOVI but it is not the renegade bracket like mine so you might be able to get one of those and run the AC on the drivers side like factory. although i am not sure on which pulley system you would need i am sure you can make something work. i had to search high and low for an alt mount that would sit where i wanted and mount how i needed... when i couldnt find that i made this setup i have now. it could be better but it works so thats all that matters!
      im in Canada too ( ontario ) and while its not boiling hot here it is for sure hot enough to want AC.... to get around the issue i went over the entire car with double layered sound deadener. while alot of people gave me s**t for doing this not only is the car alot quieter inside while running BUT it is ALOT cooler in the sunlight. i would dare to bet it is about 15-20 degrees cooler inside the car than outside. the car to me is a toy NOT a full blown race car, and the extra 100lbs from the sound deadener did not bug me even a little bit if it added to the comfort of the car. with the vent windows open and the floor vents open it really moves alot of air around so im happy... also i enjoy the windows down listening to the engine rather than a loud stereo or something ( i have the radio head unit ( factory AM ) but no speakers in the car.
      i wish you luck on your project!!
      keep us up to speed on which parts you pick. id love to see what you end up doing with your car differently that i did.
