This is a wonderful video! I am playing this excerpt in an audition I have coming up, and this video was a great help! I wish I had a fraction of the talent you do!
Thank you so much, it is very helpful, especially if you never prepared this piece before, thank you for your channel, very professional, subscribed 🎻💚🎶
thank you so much for your videos! By any chance you have also recorded a masterclass about "Apollon Musagète" of Stravinsky (coda) excerpt? Thank you very much!
At this tempo, you run the risk of getting a little fussy with the articulation... you have to balance the fidelity to the score against maintaining the pulse and the musical line. The "wave" effect can disappear if you make too many emphases (the dashes). So I don't make much difference.
As far as the accents, not sure which ones you mean... there are only a couple in this excerpt. But for the dots, it depends on the context. If you try to go short on the dots, it can be difficult to maintain the line without sounding either picky or aggressive. In this video I prioritize the long line for sure, since I usually hear this excerpt rather choppy.

Ugh the beginning will take me about a month or 2 to learn... How can a musician learn a full piece (or multiple pieces) in time for concert?
no manches yo no puedo hacer eso
Could I ask what are the brands of the strings? Thank you!
...what about the dash-dot-dot articulation in 6th bar of no.35 (and onwards)??...
(and dots versus no dots versus dashes versus accents... can't hear any difference here)
