- Casey Hakansson, CEO of Moment Skis, gives Lift14.com a tour of how skis are made by hand in Reno, Nevada. In addition to Casey, we'd also like to thank Edgar and Larry for taking the time to explain a number of things in detail. For more information on Moment Skis, visit momentskis.com/

@Sam Pfeifer
The "black stuff" is rubber that helps reduce vibration
Moment skis are probably the best skis with ON3P's on the planet.
Great Vid Thanks for posting
It is actually CNC, not C&C. It stands for Computer Numerical Control. I sure wish I had one. I've always wanted to design a home built one to pound out surfboards.
Edge tape (aka VDS rubber) is applied between the metal edge and composite layer to prevent delamination caused by shearing effects when skiing
Nice vid
Hello, your videos are very interesting, I have a question I am thinking of making a snowboard, my concern is how to outline the core, the rail system with a router works well, I want to leave the ends at 2 mm and 6.5 mm the center, I could have a core professional with this system. thank you
where can i get an internship at a place like this? Or where can I learn to make skis like professionals with the equipment?
nice
how or where could i get the edge not put on yet like the metal itself
what did u stick under the core to plane the core like that!?
💪👍👍👍
I just found my next pair of skis... Belafonte's... MADE IN USA!!!!!
Sick... make me one :)
what is the black stuff they put on at 7:50?
My son asked my wife (Latin American) the same thing when he saw her naked. "Mom, what's that black stuff?"
i want skis
You said Nevada wrong
LOL it's not C&C, It's CNC what means ''computer numerical control''
I think you can do it yourself, just watch and learn from Woodglut.
it is not neavAAda
I did it too. This is what I used Woodglut designs for
