Good reaction, but a quick response to the "cash grab" accusation of why Tom Morello did this, here is a quote from Tom Morello himself:
"I am a big fan of BABYMETAL, a band that is both power rocking and constantly surprising with dizzying musical twists and turns. I’ve been trying to work with them for some time and when they sent me the demo of METALI!! I knew I could rock that shit like crazy!"
Yes he probably did film himself at home playing his part on his cell phone and sent that to Japan - and they green screened him into the video. Nothing wrong with that, this whole song is meant to be fun and a bit cheesy.
Was it his best work? No, obviously not - but for those of us less familiar with Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave etc we didn't have your high expectations so to us what he did was fit his part with the song and it works.

Is it their heaviest track? No of course not, it is one to have fun with - try 'Mirror Mirror' or 'MAYA' from the recent album if you want heavier BABYMETAL.
The song title translates as 'Metali' (or 'Metari') which is a fusion of the words metal and matsuri (festival). The song is about a Metal Village holding a metal festival, so they have included all the matsuri shouts everybody would be calling out as encouragement to the people carrying heavy floats etc like "Sore, Sore", "Dokoisho" and "Wasshoi!".
They are inviting us all to dance - I may have this a bit wrong, but there is something in the lyrics (I think in Momometal's kabuki section) about we are all idiots or fools - the idiots who watch and the idiots who dance ... so as we're all here and we're all idiots why just watch, we may as well all dance.
On your misinformation about changes in BABYMETAL. One of the original trio (Yuimetal) left the band in 2018 after a 12 month absence because of poor health. The other two (Su-metal and Moametal) chose to continue as a duo through to (and a bit beyond) their 10th anniversary.
From 2019 they had 3 dancers taking turns filling in the third spot for live shows. There was just one (Momoko Okazaki) of the three left after about March 2020 - she was revealed as the official new third member (now Momometal) on 1st April this year ... so you got it right that they are a trio again.
This is Momometal's first official music video since she was revealed as the official new member in April and she even got her own solo part with the spoken kabuki theatre section.
To Rabbit - BABYMETAL have never claimed to be a metal band in the traditional metal sense, they are something different and original and for some of us who had just got bored with the constant anger, tuneless screaming and trying to sound evil etc that most "trve metal" seemed to have been reduced to, BABYMETAL was the breath of fresh air we needed.
We all know some people just can't get their head around the mix of metal with the pop aesthetics. Honestly that is not a problem (as long as you're not rude about the girls - a lot of the fans look on them as little sisters, favourite nieces etc and are very proud and protective of them). If its not your thing its not your thing ... but if you don't have the good taste to play BABYMETAL on your Terminated thing I know that won't be my thing either, so I don't think I'll be visiting😉(yeah I know, you won't miss me🥰).

I've seen many that are so much worse.
I'm guessing you didn't see what I said to one particular "reactor" a couple of months ago who had made his mind up before he even started and didn't even get as far as the guitar break in RoR before turning the video off - because he and his "producer" thought it would be funny.

In day’s world finding the correct information is just a few clicks away in the internet. They say a “cash grab”. Making a reaction video of BabyMetal, what I see as preconceived bias, is made just for clicks and views.
I remember that reactor who you speak of. That never finished reacting to RoR. To me, these guys are just as bad. I get it, BabyMetal isn’t for everyone. That’s perfectly fine. I’m not into Kpop so what do I do?! I don’t listen and watch Kpop. I don’t insult those entertainers who are in Kpop. They do their thing, I do mine. When I see reactions like this, it’s an immediately “no thank you” in any future content.
@@TheBongReyes The misinformation in this instance was given to them in comments a while back, it possibly wasn't entirely accurate (which is not their fault) and they possibly didn't go back to check exactly what it said, so was only half remembered (which was their fault).
It didn't take much for me to put them right on that.
The cash grab comment was ignorance and from that particular person really not understanding the appeal of Babymetal or how popular they are and he clearly didn't think someone with Tom Morello's credentials would be a fan wanting to work with Babymetal for for the love of it.
I'm not defending them (him), just saying I've seen a lot worse.
Tom has been asking for a collaboration with babymetal for years now so I highly doubt it was just a cashcrab for him. But people just talking out of their ass about babymetal really isn't anything new:D

Hey guys, it's been a while, you didn't show up with more BM songs from the new album or early era, hope to see you around with more.
We got another banger for Japanese festival or any festival around, they performed this recently at Summer Sonic and yesterday at Houston starting the US live tour, hopefully they will do the same at Blue Ridge Rock, Aftershock or Louder Than Life and get the crowd going nuts with this.
It's their first song released with this new BM reborn and formation.
We heard it before the release because they premiere this at Apocrypha - Another One exclusive show, and someone leaked this on a fancam, it was fun and really unexpected but everyone was having a blast and even started with a Kami Band solo after a while without it.
The song title is Metali!! (metal + matsuri, which is a Japanese festival) and you can hear it in the spoken section when one of them (MomoMetal, the new official member since April) is doing the Kabuki moves style.
Just so you know "wasshoi" is another shout used in Japanese festival when men are carrying the shrine, similar to sore and soya you can hear in Megitsune and Karate. The traditional Japanese instrument you can hear in the beginning is a shamizen, also used in Megitsune.
I can totally see why they pick Tom Morello on this, the groove, the catchiness, the super energetic jump and those typical 90's vibes at funk or alternative metal live concerts.

Get a lot of what you guys said but as always you should know by now that their songs are always harder hitting live, which by the fan footage so far it kills it live. I'm curious to know what you guys thought of the latest album as it had some harder hitting tracks. Obviously not as hard as Rabbit because we all know Rabbit is the epitome of everything metal. I honestly think Rabbit is losing his touch though, he's lacking on the trolling in this one😂 But I will say he's got a pretty dope Goosebumps banner 🤙

Both rickshaw and rabbit play in metal bands. Rickshaw was in IWABO , a pretty well-known metal band in the mid 2000s with multiple female lead singers. I think they have the right to state their opinion. If baby metal is your jam then you're obviously not a metal head. It's superficial and meant to be aesthetically pleasing. This is bubble gum music.

Lmao, you need to listen to more BABYMETAL, yeah this song has a very rock feel to it because they mix several styles, they created their own thing, they aren't just POP, this is not a question of opinion anymore as they wrote METAL songs factually (it tends to be neglected anyway because some people don't even genuinely try to understand it and already has prejudice before anything) and better than a lot of bands out there who got stagnated doing the same thing and only worsening it with the time while this band always remain open to really explore music, the name “BABYMETAL” means the birth of a new genre, a fresh innovation.
