very helpful....I have only worked with worsted and crocheted scarves and blankets, but want to do projects with more drape, but wasn’t sure how the thinner yarn and I would get along. I enjoy crochet, but really like the look of knitted projects and the way the colorways look in knitting, so want to learn to knit very soon as well. Love your videos, your energy...and your yarns are SPECTACULAR....so gorgeous

Your yarn and designs are absolutely gorgeous. Just starting to use DK yarn after using worsted weight forever. Love the feel of DK weight yarn. Living in Southern California DK is the perfect weight for this climate. The colors of the yarn are spectacular.

I'm so pleased you like it. There are a couple of special stitches in this pattern - Dc2tog: Double Crochet Two Together and HBdc: Herringbone Double Crochet - but we have videos that show those techniques. I'd probably rate it for Adventurous Beginners. Go for it!

Hi. Love the look of the alpaca silk blend. I usually work with cotton or linen blends, or straight silk, because I can’t wear wool. Is alpaca itchy for someone who is allergic to wool?
No Alpaca is soft in my opinion. 🥰

Thank you. Try this trick. Turn on closed captions, and click on the Settings (the gear icon). Choose Subtitles/CC and to the right of that there is a language option. $23 for a skein of dewy dk? Needing 7 skeins for the cardigan would cost like $161 to make. Plus the cost of the pattern and probably s n h. I mean I love the cardigan and the look of the yarn but That is just way out of my budget for yarn or any piece of clothing in general. Is there an equivalent yarn out there?

Missi R, I found a yarn at Hobby Lobby. It's called "Soft & Sleek DK" It's a low pill fiber. It's 100% acrylic. VERY soft. It runs 4.99 for 478 yds. I usually wait until they put their yarns on at 30% off. That might be an option for you!

There is a point where ‘yarners’ (knitters or crocheters) cross over from store bought yarns to fancy yarns. I’m stuck somewhere in the middle. I’ve bought yarn from you and other very expensive yarns at my daughters favorite yarn shop but I just can’t bring myself to use it. How do I choose that perfect pattern for this perfect yarn?

Im loving that blue cardi does it come in plus size shandi like 3xl 4xl. Is this yarn good for cold winter weather i get cold very easily i need to stay warm and toasty
It comes in these sizes Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) / 43"(46", 50", 53", 56", 60", 63") circumference, blocked and worn with approximately 8" of positive ease. Shown in size 1 on a 35” bust. I am wearing a size 1 in the video. Hope this helps. : )
Beautiful yarn. I’ve never used alpaca before and want to so bad. Ive an acquaintance who has alpacas and throws away the wool. Who does that? I know nothing about preserving or making of the different natural fibers. Trying to find out more about it. Your work is beautiful.

Why does it matter what needle size you use to what weight of yarn you use?
Needle size (thickness of the actual needle in mm) will determine the size of the stitch you get. Typically, you use smaller needles for smaller thread. :) Hope this helps. : )
