      I love that weed eater you have. I want that one so bad. I am sure its way better then the Bolens. I will look for it in the future. Probably will have to get it next year if not this year some time. Maybe I will win the lottery.

    Have been using this for the past month. I leave it on the lowest power setting and it still cuts through all my weeds without any issues. Use it about an hour and use up 2/3 of the battery consistently. Love it.

    I had one of these a few years ago, before I sold my home and got rid of it. Mine didn't come with a brush cutter, but the fixed string head was awesome! Bump head string feeds are a pain in the ass. They piss me off in a hurry. I'd highly recommend the fixed feed where you install the string one whip at a time. I do wish this came in a 4 cycle engine model, but I am only seeing the 2 cycIe option. I will definitely be getting another one shortly, once i'm in my new home. thank you for the video.

    I bought this today after watching your review.
    I'm very impressed with the string trimmer but the brush cutting blade was a major failure.
    The blade that it comes with is about as sharp as a marble and can barely cut little 1/4 inch elm suckers that have taken over my acreage.
    I'm going to grind an edge on it after the sun goes down and give it a second attempt in the morning.
    Thanks for all the great reviews

    I have been trimming for many years and all trimmer string is not created equal. Trimmer string should not break. If yours is old and your experiencing breakage, soak the whole batch in some warm water for a few hours. When trimming taller than normal grass/weeds start from the top down when trimming. You will save yourself a lot of trouble on the working head. I also use the brush cutter head. Sharpen the blades a small amount and you will experience a surprising difference when trimming small brush. I have been trimming/cutting for 76 years.

    Given I run a lawn care and landscaping business I personally wouldn't buy one of these to use for my work but as a homeowner who uses it once for 15-20mins every few weeks it probably wouldn't be too bad. I started off with cheaper gear like this and then worked my way up as I could afford and justify it but I will say I don't think I could go back now having used mainly Stihl for the past couple of years in my business. Nice video though ;)

    • @philliplawerence5784
      @philliplawerence5784 5 лет назад

      With the provided string head, or even with a conventional bump head, string length more than 17" (total) bogs-down the engine. Therefore, locating the cutting guard further up the shaft to yield a long cutoff distance is not recommended. You really wouldn't be happy with it, at least I wasn't.

      WHO_TEE_WHO no does not fire at all we've changed the spark plug also but still won't turn on ...maybe it is the spark plug not sure but when I would use it ,it would always turn off on me and I noticed when I seen your video I would always start it up wrong so not sure if I messed up something in the weed eater

    • @WHOTEEWHO
      @WHOTEEWHO  6 лет назад

      You would not mess anything up by running it wrong it would simply bog down the carburetor and would work good again the next time. First thing I would do would be to check all the connections on the gas lines and the spark plug wire. If it is not firing at all it either has a spark problem or a fuel and air mixture problem. I have another video that goes over some of the basics on a lawnmower. Some of it is the same

    Our golf course uses all Stihl products. Time, and using other brands, have taught us they're the best. Slightly more in price, but will pay-off in hard use and longevity, ie: indestructible, compared to others. Cub Cadet might make the top ten. They're O.K., for the money. Not the best for professionals.

    This is made by MTD, and shares 95% parts with Troy Bilt, Craftsman, Bolens, Yard Machines, Remington, and others. Has a full-crank 2-cycle engine and HORRIBLE string head. Uses old Troy Bilt flexible shafts and attachment system, so some of the older attachments will fit and work OK. Dump the string head and get an Echo Speed Feed, use Husqvarna Titanium .095 line for best results. Can be used with a brush-cutting blade but it bogs down the engine. 40-1 fuel/oil mix, use fresh ethanol-free fuel with stabilizer, will be good for about 90 days, then chuck the fuel. It doesn't weigh 21 lbs, with full fuel it's just over 12.5 lbs but use a good strap anyway. With full fuel, can be used for 35-45 minutes continuous. Can be fitted with handlebars for much better control, and the Troy Bilt starter can be used if you replace most of the rear of the engine. Otherwise, with some common-sense maintenance, it can be a good light-medium duty trimmer than can last 3-5 seasons. Good luck ...

      If you are a lawncare business maybe get a Stihl. But for a regular guy who only uses a weedeater 20 times a year, Cub Cadet has always been great for me

      Nah i disagree. But I am guessing you probably own a $500-$600 trimmer. LOL. Just like the guys who own glocks and say that any gun that cost less is garbage 😆 they work for me, all I can speak is from my experience. Thanks for watching!
