Great review! I haven’t owned/used a Viltrox lens before, but I’ve heard great things about them. Full-frame 16mm 1.8 is such a cool lens to have for many scenarios. I really liked the photo at 9:41 with that rock and leaves in the foreground
Great shots! I am interested in the future to see its performance at f 1.8. I have the Nikon 14-30 and I agree that it is a small issue having larger filter and having to use different rings on my 24-70.
I wish I had it in Canada. The morning we showed up at Lake Louise, you could see the stars over the mountains before sunrise. Not getting that shot is my one regret from the trip.
Beautiful shots, Phil. Many of these third-party lenses are quite amazing, especially considering the price. I have a few of the really "cheap" Ttartisan lenses for Fuji and they are all satisfactory for my uses. I've never been to Signal Mountain. I'll have to get down there one day. Just retired from ETSU, so now have way more time for photography.

Canon is about to release some more 1.4 primes so that might be nice. I agree, they need to open up the mount to more third party autofocus lenses.

Viltrox doesn’t make many or maybe any zoom lenses. Hopefully they will start making zooms at some point.
