Hong Kong gave Cynthia more respect than Hollywood ever did.
ya
NOT YOU nah Hollywood never got into this type of action and different type of action movies.
Big facts
orphanpixels America is a shithole country
Hollywood didn't knew how to make that kind of action..and also didn't wanted to LISTEN what she was suggesting. Those people always acting as they know all.
Everybody in hollywood talks about strong female action hero, yet none of them talk about this legend, the freaking real deal.
I don't think there's anyone in hollywood right now that would qualify for "strong female action hero". those characters in today's movies are all just actresses and the fights are done by stunt doubles...
She's a beast and would crush me with her bear hands make no mistake. I am way taller but she would fold me, she's as legit as they come. One of the toughest women to ever set foot on earth very strong.

Scott Adkins still having the pics with Cinthya is the sweetest thing ever.
He actually seems shy and trying to hold himself back from gushing. It's lovely.
Yeah she was amazing and he looked like a real fan that was too shy to get closer. Now he's a badass and has fans doing the same.
I agree
He was in love
@@elkGaming93 Martial arts men dream of women like her. Talented in the arts and sexy as all hell.
she's truly the OG Queen, only tons of respects for this lady
Mad respect
Amazing interview. Cynthia is one of the greatest action stars of all time and does not get nearly as much recognition as she deserves!
Yes I Agree 100%
Scott, I’m a faded martial artist, but with your interviews you are reawakening the old obsessive martial artist in me. Thank you for that.
🙏🏼 Same
Same here, only purple Karate belt. This is so cool what he does!
I'm into self defense too in elementary for physical education but when my teacher retired I took a hard time finding a place to learn martial arts so I got frustrated....
Cynthia Rothrock would have been BADASS as Sonya Blade in the first Mortal Kombat movie.
Nah it’s king of kof
@@RnBvibe2 yes crazy or whatever you talking about.
@@antoniochapman3986 Hes talking about the character KING from the fighting game ART OF FIGHTING and THE KING OF FIGHTERS. The character was based on her and SONYA BLADE from MORTAL KOMBAT was also based on her as well.
@@jv-ee7ks Amy Johnston should have been Sonya Blade in the new upcoming MK movie.
@Mercenary Amy Johnston would have been BADASS as the new Sonya Blade.
It’s ridiculous that she’s grossly underrated!
Yes I Agree 100%
That Is Why I Hate Holly Wood And I Hate Holly Wood Movies
She still looks good for her age she is one of the first female martial artists I use to watch back in the VHS days lol
She's 63! She looks PHENOMENAL for her age
@@bmoney1860 👌👍
I agree she looks good for her age but can't help but think combination of make up and plastic surgery hope not
OMG 63 ? She doesn't aged at all..
she has 5 layers of make up on her face!
PS: place fanboys-hate-comments here --> \__/
SHE 63 YEARS, WOW
SHE LOOKS SO YOUNG !!!
What now?? 63??
Got the body of a 40 year old very beautiful lady
Did she miss a ship to Valinor or something?
Martial arts keeps you young 👍🏻
she looks good like she 40
How gorgeous is this woman though, she still looks absolutely stunning as ever. Such an incredibly talented martial artist.
Thank you Alan
@@CynthiaRothrockChannel you look incredable i would guess you were 40
Huge fan, Cynthia! I’m in a stage combat class at UCLA-I keep mentioning you! 🥰
@@ramoncarter3121 Yeah, I'm in my late 30's and she honestly looks like a woman around my age. I imagine the constant physical activity and healthy eating while training for movies helped.
These two have so much chemistry together. Someone should put them in a buddy cop movie.
Cynthia Rothrock and Scott Adkins should do a movie together maybe a action movie with Cynthia as Scott's mom or something or just Cynthia Rothrock vs Scott Adkins.
Great idea! Maybe Scott can make that happen
Thats actually an awesome idea
Looks like he might have been blushing a bit at the end, heh, he was really fanboying out.
I was just thinking about that. They need to play in China O'Brien III together as police partners. The opening of the movie can have them doing a real life sparring session. All they need is a good script and a good director.
When people talk about strong female characters Cynthia always came to mind.
Absolutely
@@SCOTTADKINSOFFICIAL please be my teacher
Michelle yeoh is a close second
@@dennisjr77 Michelle Yeoh comes nowhere near. Not saying her movies are bad, but she’s not even martial arts trained. Cynthia is hard to beat by almost any female actress in terms of making those classic Hong Kong movies where the force of every punch and kick isn’t faked.
Incredible woman. Incredible skills.
Okay Scott, here's the deal...When all this COVID nonsense is over, we're gonna need you to take The Art of Action to the next level and do this in a full studio setup because you're really onto something here. I'm talking about the martial arts version of Variety's Actors on Actors. You may be able to punch a man's soul into the next life, BUT you really have a smooth interview style and demeanor and it demands to be explored further. These interviews are great and there are so many forgotten actors in this genre that have amazing stories to tell and you are the one to tell it.
That's a good idea!
100% AGREED
Yes Please :)
I chant to Scott when I bench using his Boyka character to scare me into pushing my limits
This is the way!!!
she looks like a doll
she sounds like a bird
she fights like a dragon.
cheerful and always humble I'm a fan
OMG I was literally in love with Cynthia Rothrock back in the days.
I'm still
@@DINEROD7 same!
It'll be a crime if she doesn't get an Expendables part.
It IS a crime she did not get an Expendables part
She would have been perfect as Sonya Blade in the first Mortal Kombat movie.
It's a crime she hasn't been a lead hollywood action star :( I would cast her if I was on that level of film making
@@antoniochapman3986 she would've did great playing Black Widow.
@@emilio2647 she might be to old but she would have done good Amy Johnston should have been Sonya Blade in the new Mortal Kombat movie.
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude!!! What a fantastic job you are doing rescuing the memories of martial artists from 80s and 90s! I've watched all the episodes and wating for more and more! Richard Norton and now Cynthia Rotrock...impossible not remembering "Rage and Honor"! I'm from Brazil so Mark Dacascos is a kind of an idol for us since "Only The Strong"... Like you are since Undisputed 3! Awesome job man! Congratulations!
The greatest female action movie star by far. Her martial arts hand to hand, weapons combat skills, acrobatic stunt performances are unrivaled. I'm surprised Cynthia never starred with Jackie.
Yes I Agree 100%
It's a shame she didn't get in Operation Condor or whatever it was called? Armor of God? I wonder if she was supposed to be one of the ladies he fights later on in the movie.
Scott's interviewing skills are off the charts. He's so natural and makes to looks this so easy but interviewing other person and allowing them to bring out the best of themselves is harder than it looks. Obviously, the fact that he, like all of us, is in love with Cynthia, makes the task a bit easier.
Richard Norton and now Cynthia. You are spoiling us, Scott. Thanks for putting this series together, I can imagine it means a lot to many.
Thundercats... Hoooooo!
Scott Adkins is such an underrated actor. His timing and conveyance of his characters is intense and captivating. His Martial Arts skill is second to none. I always enjoy his performances. & to come across his channel is wonderful. What a nice human being. As for Cynthia she has been giving me warm mushy feelings since the 80's ❤
Its Cynthia rock
He’s not underrated at all….he’s actually very popular, and gets a lot of work because of it. I wish people would stop saying that about people that they think are great….just say ‘he’s such a good…blah blah blah’. underrated means not as highly rated as they should be…but in SA’s case he’s exactly as rated
I think it's all because of Hollywood paying more attention to the Marvel movies. That's making it look like the rest of the movies around the world are underrated including the actors in them. And the media has also a play on the matter. It's all about the $$$.
Scott Adkins is not underrated at all in the Chinese movie industry. He has a big fanbase there. He even won multiple awards from the Shanghai International Film Festival particularly in action choreography and stunt category.
Eh, he seems like an extremely nice and grounded guy, and I've seen a few of his movies - a great martial artist and obviously very physically fit, but pretty "meh" as an actor. As far as martial-artists/actors go, he's one of the better actors for sure, but still....meh.
Cynthia is so precious. She is in her later years, but still have that precious baby face. I know she's badass, but you can't help wanting to cuddle her.
Cynthia Rothrock is amazing, a female Bruce Lee. The one and only Lady Dragon. Great interview and a great video too.🐉 🐉 🐉
And like Bruce Lee, Hollywood did her so dirty. Thank goodness for HK
I love you Cynthia..the real Sonya blade..my respects for her
Haha scott is the biggest fanboy off all the people he is interviewing. What a full circle
I am surprised to see how humble and soft spoken Scott is as compared to most of his badass characters
That's the dream...
I'm such a fan. Is like Scott is going out of his ways to interview all my childhood heroes. It breaks my heart that most of them haven't gotten the recognition they deserve but we know better.
One of the Queen's of Martial Arts Action!...needs to re-team up with Jackie, Sammo and Yuen 😎
I agree...that would be epic
Now that's an excellent idea👌Hollywood please!🤗🙏
The Next People I Hope To See In The Art Of Action is Philip Rhee, Jet Li, Wesley Snipes, Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen, Sammo Hung, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Billy Blanks, Cung Le, Lateef Crowder, Dolph Lundgren & Bolo Yeung.
Yes jet lee ps2 jake ps1 donnie ps4 sleeping dogs vandame ps4 morte kombat 11😍😍😍
There's much more...
Mathias Haus would be great too
I meant to add Don”The Dragon”Wilson as well
Ernie Reyes Jr. & His Father Too
Mr. Adkins, don't forget Gary Daniels.
Hopefully Scott will interview Gary.
Their kicks are somewhat similar.
He didn't
She still looks amazing
These interviews are great. And what a tough lady. Imagine doing those stunts and fights with no ACL!
She got that cuteness still in her voice, no one gonna a ignore that still she is an bad ass kicker in action industry. respect for what she does and lot's love, wishes to her for long live.
Scott, I just have to say I'm loving this entire series. This Art of Action thing is one of the best things to come out of the whole coronavirus thing.
I like the respect and honor they show to each other.
Thanks Scott
Agreed. Scott is actually very knowledgeable, and a very good interviewer allowing his guests to talk. I’ve enjoyed this series a lot👍
Love the interview. What powerful and skillful women
I love her, she is a good talker
I can listen to her for hours
Waow Queen of Martial Arts finally.. Jst wat I wanna see.. Can't wait🍿🍟

OMG.... I can't believe this is you.. I grew up watching your films. I'm a martial arts enthusiast and practitioner. I've earned a new found respect for you as you detailed your stories. I don't know any ladies that have gone as hard as you in this business. Thank you for sharing your story. Dope!!!!!
I love that she gave Scott that nudge with her sixth sense before he started his career so many years ago. The Law of Attraction at its best! LOVE IT! ♥
Never got to meet Cynthia rotheock have much respect what she has done in movies I always thought she never got the respect as a female martial artist I loved her movies I seen completion videos of her as champion in weapons and forms in the early 1980,s I was just a young teen then much love to synthia rotheock u deserve it we need more women action martial artist in Hollywood
So humble and bubbly personality, shes a sweetheart that can kick a lot of ass!
Beautifully flawless Cynthia, Scott Adkins always delivers.
Man Scott I’m looking forward to this one, with The Lady Dragon herself Cynthia Rothrock ❤️☯️❤️
I remember seeing her movies as a kid. She's actually a huge inspiration, nothing but respect for her.
What a perfect example of a living legend she is.. This interview was fantastic! Thanks!
This man needs to get more big-budget movies, come on give this man some movies please
Wow!!!! Cynthia Rothrock..One of my favorite, shes a living legend martial arts, stay safe and God bless you
I love Tiger's Claw. One of my favorite B-movies. Fight choreography is quite primitive, but there is something magical about it
Waaw I remember in the watching her movies back in Somalia didn’t understand the language but loved the action big fan thanks Scott big fan of yours too
She's such a bundle of joy, Legend
Well done Scott for this wonderful post!
Queen of martial arts...i remember my best movie for her was, Above the low featuring yen biao..
I remember as old school guy she had own game character in ,,King of Fighters'' as King.
Fr?? U bullshitting!! And dats my go to character whenever I get a chance to play.
It's so true. There's no woman in the movie industry that does it better than Cynthia Rothrock.
Nobody, does it better!!!
Wow she's got such great personality!
I'm more impressed than ever by her after seeing this. She's a true badass.
I had a crush on her in my teenage day's 🤣, still do.
We all did. Hahah
I wanna hug her, she suffered so much
Thank you scott for getting her on your show much respect to her
So many woman are not respected like they should be it irrotates me because so many woman brought great things to the front lines i have great respect fpr them thanl you
Funny story time: Back in the days Cynthia was very quick to obtain some serious 'street credz' among the HK stunt guys and audience. Me and my friends like always were discussing the top martial artists in movies of that time. Suddenly one guy cuts in with a rumor: He heard his uncle, who was a stunt man, saying there was this foreigner who was also an incredible fighter with amazingly slick moves. We immediately called BS when he told us this person was even a woman, knowing that there's always THAT one guy in your group who takes the storytelling a bit too far...
A few months later we had our jaws on the cinema floor when Cynthia started kicking ass. Fun fact: It was easier for us to believe she was fluent in Cantonese than what was happening on screen.
My Gosh!!! Cynthia Rothrock's beauty is timeless!!! When I saw that Scorpion Kick performed by Carrie Anne Moss in the Matrix, I immediately thought to myself: "That's from Cynthia Rothrock"! It's incredible that she has been doing all those awesome kicks in her YT channel with the power of her quads and hamstrings!!! Lol'ed at her account of the rivalry between her and Karen Sheperd!!! And such great stories from the Hong Kong movie days: always marveled at how they could make the fight scenes look so authentic, and now I'm beginning to realize from all of these episodes of "The Art of Action" that they looked real because they were real, full-on contact fights!!! And hearing her describe all those stuntman injuries; man they were hard-core!!! I really, REALLY wish that they find the rights to the "China 'O Brien" movies soon so they could do the next sequels: give us a trilogy at least!!! And I hope that she gets to do more movies; and possibly work with Scott on one! Thank you so much for another awesome episode Scott!!! Keep them coming!!! Much love to you and Ms. Rothrock!!!
Scott, I met Cynthia at a dinner about 2 months ago.
I asked her about you (did not know this video existed).
She was very complimentary about you.
I just discovered this woman yesterday when I saw tiger claw 1 & 2 for free on RUclips. Hopefully she does a new film.
OMG, Scott, where are you digging all these heroes of my childhood? Amazing!
Thank you Scott thank you cynthia this is a treat to cynthia fans like me
We too
That's awesome that Scott got Cynthia's autograph signed when he was a kid and on top of that she signed see you in the movies! Cynthia ROCKS! Awesome channel Scott, keep kicking ass!
Scott, thanks for doing this for my partner in crime, Cynthia. Keep up the great work!!! - Michael Matsuda, Martial Arts History Museum
Back when I was a kid, I grew up watching many martial arts movies, and I remember being impressed with her style and form.
It is very impressive she is still seriously training and learning new things...plus she still looks incredible.
Gotta love those old 80s hairdos, though.
The men in these interviews had amazing stories to tell, but Cynthia took the cake in this one. What a dedicated person.
She's such a legend.
Never been seen her movie b4 and base on the interview she really a martial artist .but now you show me this...
Damm she a Bad Assi in that movie ..now i will search for her movies...
Thanks for this interview...
She's my female childhood hero.. my God she still looks amazing..
These interview should be part of any film school.
Absolute legend! So happy this interview happened. Thank you Scott and Cynthia!
Best interview ever. She's my all time favorite. Love you Cynthia. Scott Adkins you are the best my friend I wish one day to meet you hoping and good faith that I'll still be alive.
In Hollywood they will spends months and months on getting a dramatic scene just right, the dialogue, the effects, sound editing, lighting etc. in Hongkong all that effort is put into the action scenes - which is why they are always excellent.
dude u r wrong... In hollywood its all stunt that do the action... Even Jackie chan had said, he just do the kick in the air rest will be editing... Hollywood don't justice to action/ martial art movie.... Becos of time constraints n insurance problem!.. just imagine Cynthia was saying... it took one month for one last fight scene.
I really enjoy to see Cynthia at these age she really look so good and beautiful
Cynthia Rothrock is a legend. Nothing but respect. Best woman martial artist in the movies. We rented all her stuff growing up. Total badass!
Just discovered Scott's channel. First, I didn't know he is British and so charming. Second, the content of the channel! He is interviewing all my martial art idols of the 80s!
Finally, she is so lovely 🌹and one of my crushes as a boy 😊

This interview is EPIC! Cynthia Rothrock is a legend! Thank you for this show. I'm obsessed now.
She is legit one of the greatest of all time.
This was such an enjoyable interview, honestly I was smiling the whole way through.
I had such good memories of her movies growing up, she is seriously no joke and up their with the best martial arts actors.
These hardcore fighting styles are the best.
Cynthia is really amazing, and Corey Yuen definitely knows a gem when he sees one. Scott, thanks for getting her to share with us her story, and how she got a start in the HK movies.
I've seen all her films, most on VHS 😁 a true MA legend. Scott you are killing these interviews, b/c you have perspective 👍🏼
Been watching cynthia since i was a kid, she is literally a female bruce lee.
wtf, she is female nothing she have her own name and style
What do you mean by female Bruce Lee? She has made her own legacy, she's not like one of those DC female character which are taken from male heroes! She is Cynthia Rothrock, not female Bruce Lee not this not that. Only Cynthia Rothrock.
@@perpetualburn1941 you didn't get it but its all good.
Sylvester Stallone needs to have her in the next Expendables!
I heard a rumor a while back that in the 1990's Sylvester Stallone made an attempt to get a film starring the two of them off the ground which sadly never happened. If there ever is a fourth Expendables made, I hope that she is part of the cast.
she needs to be the star of the next Expendables tbh
For John and myself she is the best! Incredible female fighter of this time and her spirit. Amazing accomplishments and fighting skills!
She brought in and fought the real martial arts! Have a lot of respect for her and her determination !
Wow, she looks amazing! Used to watch a ton of action movies as a kid ! She was badass!
Absolute legend. Great interview and who wouldn't love to see Scott with Cynthia in China O'Brien 3??!!

CYNTHIA ROTHROCK! This is an awesome series.
Awesome Interview between 2 great martial artists and action stars!!! Cynthia the legend and Scott the humble gentleman and super action star 😼😎
