Yes, there are some synthetic elements, which should be fairly easy to disguise in a mix, even a sparse one, but the playability and how that comes across is key to something sounding real to me. When I play it, it just sounds right, I think it's the bending (using the pitch wheel) that makes the most difference. Samples have this stretched feeling, which I avoid by almost never using a pitch slide on samples. But for a sitar, that's an important element of the instrument.
I find this instrument sounds better for performance than any sampled Sitar I've experienced. Great job.
