Hi Rex, it was me who requested this... only 12 days ago! I can't believe how quickly you've made this, and it sounds amazing. You even used The Persuaders, awesome! Thank you so much for this one!
In all honesty, I have never heard a Cimbalon before this video (just googled it for the first time) but, regardless of how accurate the SIM is compared to the real thing, this is an absolutely beautiful sounding instrument! During the intro I had no reason to think the sound I was hearing was being synthesized. Thank you for sharing!
Sir you are a genius!!.......hard to believe this is only synthasis based, no samples!?!? 😳. I've got a sampled Cimbalom from Spitfire and it's wonderful. Yours comes SO close to it, if not spot on in some instances. It's also more versatile.........quite an achievement! 😌👏👏👏
Beautiful! Wow! As I've often said, I'm amazed by your skill and talent in creating these instruments with no samples. Instruments that are much more versatile than a simple sampled instrument. Well done Rex!
I've recently discovered the hammered dulcimer and I'm thrilled to find one of it's varieties in modeled form. And you using the persuaders theme to demonstrate is an added treat. 😊 ❤👍
@@rexbasterfield5332 I used to watch it with my parents when I was a little kid. Great stuff! (especially since me and my parents were big Roger Moore fans :P)
Thank you! In fact I use whatever I need to get the best results I can. It usually ends up with a combination of techniques because some are more suitable than others for specific tasks.

I love your choice for the example tune! A classic John Barry theme

Wow, it's like there is not a single musical instrument you can't recreate through synthesis.
Great choice of instrument and soundtrack. 👌
Is that the theme from The Persuaders? :D
Wow, now I feel really old
Yes it is!

insane work once again :o
Very impressive and now you can do a Mandoline!
Cool VST. Thank you.
Hi Rex! Only thing I would add is some microtuning/string
What type of synthesis do you use? Physical modelling or some sort of FM subtractive synthesis?Amazing anyway.

is there a midi learn function on the different parameters? excellent instrument.
No, you need to use your DAW to do the mapping.
@@rexbasterfield5332 ok. Thank you.
