So on the topic. When I was at fursquared 2022 some dude walked into the Sheraton lobby the first day of the con.. Looked around, laughed a couple times and said "What, what is this?" And everyone just like stopped and looked at him. (Imagine your first encounter with furries is a hotel lobby full of them staring at you in silence.) So he just repeated "what is this!?" and everyone still just kinda didn't know what to do. And So this dude's amusement was quickly turning to annoyance and he was starting to get pissed off "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?" (I'm in my partial, trying not to suffocate laughing) Eventually someone tried to explain it to him and he just goes "HELL NO. I'M OUT OF HERE" And I don't think I will witness anything more hilarious in my life. I feel for him.

man, speaking of trapped in an elevator with furries- at megaplex 2022 this summer me and a few other furries were all huddles into this tiny elevator and as we approached the bottom floor we all went "WOOOOOO!!!" together to celebrate and someone said "they must've been trapped in there forever." it was funny, definitely a core memory from my first con.

I was laughing at this couple at FWA because for literally an entire day, they sat in the corner just watching the fursuiters just kinda looking so confused. Ended up talking to them a bit and they seemed nice, but just stuck in a wrong place wrong time kinda situation
Every year at TFF my family protest the con shouting slurs and god hates (insert text here) a year I was in a dog outfit and barked at them on a leash. And years later I saw me on my mom’s computer.. I stared at it and my mom said she’s sending these pictures to those whom will help them fight the furries whom will give the gay to their families. I’ll be honest.. they took a better picture of me than I could have..
They were a toxic family and years later I’m finally free from them.

@@tokeners oh I’m so overly used to it growing up. They burned my fursuit, along with a lot of other things. But well I grew up fast, moved out, and became (recently) financial independent!

Strangely, my non-furry friends couldn't care less about me being a furry. It's my being an Oingo Boigno fan that weirds them out. I still don't know what to do with this knowledge.
As a former furry hater, I defenitely know that most normies think of us as massive degenerates. I can feel their dissapointment in humanity when being in the same elevator as us
Then you have my small town in Ohio where all the young people hate on furries while the old folk and adults think they’re cool and compliment them (aka what they’ve seen from me)
@@ThatOneFur I'm an older adult originally from Ohio, I think furries are alright. For me they bring back memories of childhood cartoons and trick-or-treating. Your own personally defined happiness is always the most enjoyable.

Honestly I can relate with the normies in the photos. I went to a convention without my fursuit, and I just felt absolutely naked, exposed and uncomfortable. Never doing that again.

This reminds me of the final year of Brony con there was a baseball game going on the same weekend and every time you would get in a elevator it would be some normie family with baseball stuff and bronies with some wierd dakis or other shit the reactions were priceless 😂

I was bowling in fursuit for charity the other week. I think they were annoyed by the fact I bowled a no tap 241 and kicked their ass.

Once I was high at 3 AM and came across a meme on Reddit about a picture of someone sitting in a strange contraption on a toilet while still wearing their pants “pants aren’t an issue when you’re quantum sh*tting through the nth dimension!” And I almost passed out from laughing so hard. I could hardly breathe. Even in normal state of mind it was hilarious. Also people with fake nails have no right to judge us. Those things are hideous. 2:21 but not as hideous as their soul.

Well, I’m doing my part in giving free nightmares to people by having a getup inspired by a thing I saw in a fever dream I had one time after falling asleep on top of a running hot air vent with a blanket at 3 AM. It involved things coming out of the walls and floor. Undead, eldritch, and spectral things. Shadowy figures of various shapes, all thin with long limbs and glowing eyes. Their whispering voices overlapped, speaking in what I assume was abyssal, as well as Latin here and there. Rather an odd dream.
