Saw TSO on Dec 26th and 27th, at the Allstate Arena and Palace of Auburn Hills... I travelled over 4 thousand miles from Brazil just for these concerts...and it was AMAZING!! Worth every penny, every mile traveled!!
Mine is four days later, in Greenville, SC, and if we like that one as much as I think we will and tickets are still available, we may catch the show in Charlotte after they go through New York, DC, Raleigh and Greensboro. We're about 45 minutes from the Bi-Lo Center (just on the NC side of the state line) and about 1 1/2 hours from Charlotte, so I'm so stoked...
They kicked off their 2007 tour in the city where I live. First time I've seen them and I must admit my jaw is still open in awe of them. Took my 75 year old neighbor with us and she loved them, so they truely are transgenerational entertainment. I will definitely go next year as well.
I thank you for posting this song!!! This is my favorite one they do. I played viola with them this past year in Albany it was incredible! I am a viola performance major and I want to do christmas programs like these to reach out to people with the holy spirit and classical music.
Saw this last night in Dayton. Jay Pearce performed this for his hometown audience. Excellent job as usual! His mom was in the audience. I know her. Great lady very proud of her son!
With all the fighting over whether this is Christmas or Holiday and christmas decorations being destroyed, watching TSO brings back the Spirit of Christmas.
No matter how many times I see TSO live or hear this song, it makes me cry every time they do this piece. It's just loaded with feel and emotion. Just listen to how quiet and captivated the audience is.
im goin tomorrow night with my girlfriend in hartford. it's my 2nd time going and i love these guys my gf never heard them before so hopefully she'll love it
Jay Pierce is a monster! He could do the entire TSO Christmas show all by himself (including the narration!) with an acoustic guitarist and the crowd would still go home completely blown away!!!
one doesn't need to be religious to enjoy TSO> I am an Atheist. And make no secret of it but I love TSO and their music. I am a Christmas Nut because the music is beautiful and makes you happy and I love the decorations. Try to enjoy the music for the art and majesty of the music and the skill with which it is performed and not think of it in religious terms.
barthunt1, Merry "Christ"mas to you, too!! Don't forget the Reason for the season! Altough He was not actually born in December, His birth, death and Rise are all that matters! Maran'atah!!
saw the in tampa nov 14 in tampa for the second time, this was THE awesome song, only thing better was the savatage songs played in the second half; prelude to madness and believe.
OK I'm a man and all, but screw it...I've seen TSO 3 times and EVERY time they do this tune I am moved almost to tears. It makes you want to yell out "I love EVERYbody!!!" :))))
Um, and the audio? I can barely hear a thing. However, what I'd give to be there! Um, there's a song by TSO which appears in Beethoven's last night, which starts with something like: "What's Eternal?, and here in the night as I hear the inferno, "? Anyone know the name?
This is good, But west plays it so much better, Jane puts in a really cool piano blues solo in the middle of hark the angels... its awsome I love Jane! I love bob too, but jane... wow
Well Merry Christmas to you too stan! A freak? Yes, I AM a Jesus Freak and glad, too! I wouldn't want to be any other way! Once you get to know Him, you will be too! Merry Christmas!!! Yahshua is the Reason!
Instead think of it as another message about humanity and how one should behave. Take care of children and those who cannot care for themselves. and be a good human. :-) That includes knocking someones personal faith down because you don't agree with their beliefs. I dont agree but I don't attack those that do
@Lamashtar I felt really compelled to respond to your comments. I'm not trying to start an argument here but I've been a Christian all my life...and read the Bible quite a bit. I don't recall any parts where it glorifies torture, war or a lack of mercy for others. I think you may have us confused with another religion... Jesus' teachings and resurrection are the capstone of the faith and in no way endorse the things you have mentioned. I'd be happy to discuss it with you.
@Lamashtar Where does the bible - or indeed any of the religious books of most major religions do that !! .... Now the "people" who follow some of those religions - yes in some cases thats a different matter
I believe you mean "Yeshua" and no. I'm quite happy NOT knowing him. Do you even know why they call Jesus "Yeshua"? Did you know Yeshua means "Joshua" and that it was loosely based on the Greek spelling that lead them to the name "Jesus"? So technically, your "god" could very well have been named Joshua, and the English just fucked up their translations. Just so you know.

Can't listen to this without shedding a tear... beautiful....
This song brings me to tears. It's one of the few songs that truly capture what Christmas is really about.

It's good to find intelligent people on RUclips. I understand completely and I agree.
I look forward to this song every year. It's seriously amazing.

Same for me, went to my first tso concert on the dec4th, and it was incredible, it is a must see.
Besides "Wizards" and the snow, this is the BEST part of the show. Chills man.
Powerful voice.... beautiful message.
No matter how many times I see TSO live or hear this song, it makes me cry every time they do this piece. It's just loaded with feel and emotion. Just listen to how quiet and captivated the audience is.

After seeing them on the 30th, i would choose to sit up in the balcony a bit. The light show is awesome from there, but don't know if 13 is too close.
Yahshua Reigns! Halleluyah for the King is born and lives today!
barthunt1, Merry "Christ"mas to you, too!!

@52381a duh thats why i was referencing the Bible, which was written a few thousand years ago
@zimeron1 I take it you missed it....
Thanks for playing though
Now THAT is how it's done.
that's right
that would be "What is Eternal"
and it starts with the "and here in the night...."
Um, and the audio? I can barely hear a thing. However, what I'd give to be there!
Um, there's a song by TSO which appears in Beethoven's last night, which starts with something like: "What's Eternal?, and here in the night as I hear the inferno, "? Anyone know the name?
@zimeron1 Have you noticed he hasn't done that for a few thousand years or so or did you miss that?

Jay Pierce doesn't actually need a microphone...
I would like to sing for me,eh:)

Funny, you worship a person you can't even spell the name of. And it isn't even a hard name to spell.
