Good morning! I discovered it on an international job board- I just posted a video about these job boards and what you need to teach English abroad if you wanna check it out! ☺️
Congratulations on being able to ride your own scooter. It'll be an experience you'll remember for the rest of your life. I miss riding the scooter in VN, having my girlfriend snuggle behind me and we'd talk and laugh, then when I got my child, we'd ride with him in front of me, glancing up at me to ask question and listen to me. We'd smell something good in the street and pull up on the sidewalk and eat a delicious meal at awesome price. I miss the sense of freedom riding the scooter in beach town like Nha Trang, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, etc. Do be careful when you ride and I hope you enjoy your stay in VN.
I definitely have, so I’m glad! My week stars off really nice and slow mondays and Tuesday’s, and just gets crazy wed-fri. So it’s actually ok! I’ll be posting a video of my daily life with my working schedule & my weekends soon :)
@@SheRunTheWorld Hello maam good day. I have queries po. I hope you answer them. THANK YOU: 1. What is the best month to send your applications? 2. What month their school year starts and ends? 3. Hi hi! I was just hired by EMG for the start of the 23/24 school year. I was in Ukraine working as a private tutor and mentor to teens getting ready to study in the USA. That was 21/22 until the Russian invasion, so I'm looking forward to a change in scenery. I also observed that the pay seems to be the highest among schools there. I have been offered gigs at VMG and many others, but the staff at EMG, so far, seem accommodating. I'm checking out apartments...it looks like $350-500 is the range for a true one bedroom, not studio style, and what I am seeing is close to the school. Great content! Your video series is one reason why I chose EMG. The blacklist part of your other video seems a little odd, so I'm curious, did you see this yourself?
Hi! I’m glad you’re getting a change of scenery. Yeah I’d say that price range is pretty standard! And thank you, I appreciate it :) yup myself and many others I know of who taught during the pandemic are all blacklisted! I think it had more to do with the special visas they were giving us during the pandemic, so I HOPE it’s not relevant anymore but I honestly don’t know. The staff at EMG are super nice and friendly…. Until they’re not. If you catch my drift 😂 good luck, I absolutely loved living in Vietnam!! I’d move back tomorrow!
@@SheRunTheWorld sounds like an ex gf of mine ;) I did some research and asked around and it does sound like it was the visa you were given. I was offered an above average compensation package, but then again, I'm 48 with lots of international experience. I left Ukraine in late June of 2022, and I just turned down an offer to go back for more money. My partner and I went through so much and the wounds haven't healed yet. We lost our life in Odessa, our beautiful, old-made new apartment, and most importantly, we lost a pregnancy due to COVID, stress, and other factors that came about after Russia invaded. It's neat to see you travel to many of the places we went to AFTER we left Odessa. My partner lived in Bali for awhile before we met, and in Thailand as well, so I hope that Vietnam will break both of us out of this funk. Stay safe.

Hey quick question i know that they require BA CERTIFICATE to get a job in Vietnam but are they gonna require you to have the transcript from that university? Thanks
@@SheRunTheWorld Yeah, I just watched it. It gave me some pause. I taught in China for 4 years before the pandemic and I'm currently doing a long term sub assignment at a high school in Illinois. It's a rough school but recently things have been getting better and I found a pretty good deal on an apartment here so I was thinking of staying. My assignment is only until the end of the school year but looking at the sub sign in list I see so many long term teachers here, I figure I will probably have a good chance of getting another one next school year. Previously I was thinking of either moving to Ohio to get my teaching license thru TTT or trying to go back to China, but now I'm thinking about staying in IL for another year. Then this morning I get an email from EMG offering me a job. Any thoughts on what I should do?
Hi! Ummm I have mixed reviews too honestly. They pay the most out of any company in the area which is awesome. And if you don’t actually want to be a teacher it’s great because all the lessons & materials are planned for you. I don’t want to say anything negative online because I still work for them lol
