I don’t think it’s just for Ellis. I think he also wants her in his life in some way. He has obviously been grieving over her all these years and the idea of having her in his life again must have felt like a loved one coming back from the dead.
We all have our story, and a lot of times people just don't ask enough questions about people. Like Adeline, I have not aged very much in 23 years. I'm 42 years old, and it has nothing to do with how I take care of myself. It has everything to do with my overall life experience. I was born and grew up in America, but I also lived in Scotland and England. When I returned after so many years, it was hard readjusting to American life, but I always remembered the people of my past that I left behind. They all got very old, I stayed the same, and even they have children in their 20's who look like my age. When I saw this scene in this movie, it brought truth to my life. I'm not purposely trying to remain young, but it just happened. I look very young for my age.The thing with Adeline is that this is a tale were looks can be deceiving. On the surface, she is a nice, young looking woman, but who know what she is really feeling on the inside. We are all not what we seem. There is a lot of sorrow. I met so many people, and traveled from place to place, but its only now at 42 where I'm finally blooming into adulthood. It seems like all these years, I lived but I never had a life. Now I'm looking at the world through fresh eyes.
This scene proves that Harrison is a much better *_ACTOR_* than most people give him credit for. He's always labelled a _'movie star',_ which is absolutely true, but there's so much more to him than just firing off witty comebacks or cracking a whip or taking down bad guys.
