FABULOUS!Excellent vocals from Diana, sick ass guitar in the background, what more can you ask for?!AWESOME!The queen is in the building, can't touch her! This song was and still is the bomb even today.💖💖
God how I remember this song. I was 14 in 1982 when it was real popular and had just experienced my first heartbreak from a boy.. this song was 'my song' at the time. The memory of it is so bittersweet.
Yeah and i was there on the rain day, it was my 13th birthday and it was amazing. We thought for sure when it started to rain she would go running from the stage but like a trooper she stayed and made sure no one was getting trampled. And they basically had to finally demand that she leave the stage before she got struck by lighting and even then she was still there saying there making me leave so you guys need to get out of this goddamn park!!!! Love this woman so freaking much!!!!
This song sounds like she was talking about her life and how some things have just caught up with her.She said that some songs that she put out are what's happening in her life at the time. So in life be careful who you step on.
Congratulations to the boss, Ms. Ross she will be receiving a lifetime achievement award @ the American Music Awards. Its about time. I wish Michael Jackson could present her with the award.
mike sembello and don freeman song which was offered to the pointer sisters who declined to sing it.apparently they dismissed it as a hokey nursery rhyme! great guitar from sembello top musician!!
+Michael Robles wld totally agree.....i attended school for audio engineering in nyc n one of my professors was a huge fan.....he n i hung out a few times and we saw diana a few times in nyc and mohegan sun and because of his industry contacts we were always allowed back stage....i met her a few times after her conerts....she was never stand offish or rude.....she always made eye contact and appeared genuine with great energy each time i wld meet her one time she actually said....we have met before....i remember your eyes.........each time i have met her i always get the impression she is actually shy but tries to hide it...over the years i have gone back stage a few times to meet celebs after their concerts......not all have appeared open, friendly or genuine and mny were stand offish and uncomfortable(i will not mention any names)....
Bernard was a bassist. It was Nile who played the guitar. However, Mirror Mirror didn't really have a Chic connection. Going by my liner notes, it says the song was written by Dennis Matkosky & Michael Sembello, and produced by Diana. The guitar solo by was by Ray Chew.
no that is not all of diana's hair....she discovered this look right around 1980 and it has become her signature look....barbara walters loved to put her on the spot and ask her about her hair....she is always honest(since she has no choice) and admits that it is not all hers......but diana has decent should length hair.......if you watch Mahogany...there are scenes where she is wearing her natural hair...
.......great song choice n really like the song but totally missed the mark.....this song is a spin on the movie.....the sins of dorian grey.......where the vain dorian in a weak moment of weakness makes a pac with the devil to stay forever young while his picture ages...he stays forever young.....not realizing that he just traded his soul.....had the been willing to spends some money this video should have built on that.....but they were budget conscious n delivered this cheap crap with one camera in a tight close=up in diana for 7 mins.....
Chase Jackson I always took it as more of a take on the evil queen from Sleeping Beauty. She had an obsession with the mirror and was always asking, "Who is the fairest of them all."
THE QUEEN
MRS. ROSS WAS BANGING ON HER VOCALS OTHER THAN THAT BADASS GUITAR. I LOVE IT..
Diana hit #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 on 3/6/82. Thanks for posting it! :)

Still a great song I think, did nothing for her but it's great when played full blast in a club. Diane is the boss.
Scratched the bottom end of the Top 40 in the UK around the end of January/early February 1982.
It reached number 8 in the US, that makes it a hit
I wanna to ask in which album this song are ?
MrVolvo456 "Why Do Fools Fall in Love?"
It was the second single. It did fairly well in the US.
+Larry Wilson It was a flop overseas however
I guess the Mandela Effect is powerless against Diana Ross !
Great song, bad video. Diana never put enough on her videos...
Check out the special previews of the upcoming documentary movie the MAKING OF DEWON Micheal STEVENS on RUclips free for a limited time only
Arguably the last good song Diana did.
