In 2001 another DNA test was performed and they found that it's a 31 billion to 1 chance that Stuart is the killer. He's still in jail. He's guilty. I'd love to see the DNA detractors try to explain their views on DNA evidence now. They'd be laughed away, as they should!
I love the actors in the Stuart Heaton segment, it's supposedly Illinois, so dude is trying to do a Chicago accent, but also slipped in an "aboot" (eh)
@dudemus stinkm....its actually here in Chapel Hill TN...idk anything about the one in NC...there was a song about this one telling the story of it...the band was called The Chapel Hill Pickers.."us two and him"...my dad saw the light years ago..by the time I got old enough to try to see it was then against the law for anyone to go there...
I saw the Paulding Light up in northern Wisconsin and it was incredible. It looks 100% identical to what they put in this documentary. I'm not a religious person or wonder believe in ghosts or anything like that. But I definitely did see it. I'm not sure what causes it
In our legal system there is an Achilles heel that allows for so much prosecutorial misconduct and malfeasance. Prosecutors are promoted based on the number of cases they win. This has led to more than one innocent person being incarcerated for life or sentenced to death. The incentive leading to prosectorial misconduct needs to be removed and the system reconfigured to deter any such efforts.
Granted I'm no lawyer and unless the State of Illinois is an exception, its pretty clear from the episode Stuart Heaton had his civil and constitutional rights trampled on. You can't haul someone down to the police station in cuffs and start questioning them without invoking Miranda. The police had to read Stuart Heaton his Miranda Rights before they started questioning him and certainly before they took pictures of his hands. Stuart Heaton was cuffed and taken from his house to the police station in custody, Miranda most certainly should have applied. It would have been different if Stuart Heaton had voluntary come to the police station to answer questions.
So much more went on during his trial. In those days DNA was in it's infancy, and has grown into a full blown detective tool. I sure hope he gets a shake at what todays DNA can do. Blood type in not a DNA sample .If that is what they are going on, it's not enough.
That Gerden ball of light is like the young guy says. Electric from ground. I used to climb towers. On a beautiful day you can still get struck and it will show light. That young man has it right, in my opinion. Mother Nature and electricity have strange ways of showing up.
Mother Nature? Electromagnetism is physics, everything Mother Nature could be dead for all physics cares and stranger phenomena will still occur. Just look at how Father Time played tricks with a supernova explosion; the image repeating every few years thanks to the gravitational set up from an intervening super cluster (macs j1149+2223).
I was born in Gurdon but my parents relocated to Memphis, TN when I was less than 2 years old,. I grew up hearing the story of the Gurdon light,. My Dad was a great jokester, so I thought he was pulling my leg. Found out when I watched this show that I was wrong,.
That’s your problem grandma. It never once entered your mind that they would disappear even though they were arrested for robbery and then disappearing. What? Can’t you at least talk to someone with a brain before putting up your money?

La Quita McCullough We’re talking about Stewart? If so he had a new DNA test granted in 2001 and he is still in prison today. I’m likely Pedia it says he is in fact the murder
A carpenter is going to go out of their way to not injure their hands. It could mean the end of their career. Rough, dry hands? Sure. Outright wounds and cuts? Nah?
Results: Solved. In 2001, a new round of DNA testing was done that proved Stuart was the killer; the chance of it being someone else's DNA was over 31 billion to 1. However, some supporters still believe that he is innocent despite the DNA evidence.

Stuart Heaton - In 2001 another DNA test was performed which proved 31 billion to 1 accuracy that Heaton was the killer.
