    As I'm completely new to this (and have NO natural talent), this is one of the best videos that I have seen on airbrushing.

    Great painting and tutorial. I watchd the whole video and others wanting to learn a fire technique should as well. I like the use of the opaques because they do not need to be locked in with an intercoat between layers. The use of the candy at the end really finished it off. Again, great video.

    Yeah I see what you’re saying, looking on the right side where you’re working with the candy and then look over on the left side you can see the difference that’s amazing, this is what I envision in my mind for my 1/10 scale 32 three window truck body gosh that’s beautiful dude . Outstanding work

    🤣 OK paused the video at 14 mins in ....I'm warning you !! If you do the BoB Ross thing and say " whatever you feel like doing , it's your world , maybe there's a "HAPPY LITTLE FLAME RIGHT OVER HERE" I'm gonna pee my pants laughing 🤣 .... ok back to the video 👊I'm like'n how the Helmet brim edge stood out as you added the color when it was kinda muted with the back color to start

      It's funny you mention Bob Ross. I've been contemplating creating a Bob Ross inspired video (possibly videos) for a while now.... If Bob Ross were an airbrush artist...

    Thank you for a great tutorial. I love how you show and explain the process.
    How would you do fire on a chrome surface?

    • @wickedartstudio
      @wickedartstudio  Год назад

      Personally, I wouldn't. Paint doesn't like to stick to a smooth shiny surface like chrome. Prepping the surface would ruin the finish and a true chrome finish can't be restored with a clear coat applied later. If I were to attempt this the process would be similar though. Depending on the end result desired, you could start with an opaque color for the initial layer and keep all subsequent layers within that initial layer. Alternatively, you could use a transparent or candy for the initial layer which would allow some of the chrome to shine through. It's really about your personal preference, or the client's personal preference.

    Does Trevor use HOK paint…
    I noticed a huge improvement.
    Maybe I just tried harder…
    20 bucks an ounce can motivate that way.
    The candies just glowed, love it.

      I still use House of Kolor clear for the final clear coat; however, I switched to Createx water-based paint for the artwork nearly twenty years ago. Createx offers aniline dye-based candies as well.

    What size needle were you using for your different layers.

    • @wickedartstudio
      @wickedartstudio  9 месяцев назад +1

      I used an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS airbrush for this entire project. It comes with, and still has a 0.35mm needle and nozzle set.
