Looking at the young guys with all their bells and whistles is cool. But sometime listening that’s really just giving advice based on previous experiences means so much more.
Purchased four (4) B7c lights to put in ceiling cans. Bummer - they don't work that way, because, 'upside-down' they overheat very quickly and turn off. Bought a 4-pack of outlet-to-socket adapters to plug into a long, rigid power strip. Add the 4 B7c lights for nice stage lighting.
I was literally going to youtube to search for this... I'm looking to switch from an in-house gig to freelance, so I've been looking for a good solo light set up!
That's a pretty efficient way to use one light to expose for an entire room! Did you have to shift the position of the 600x for the close up shots, or was it mainly in the center of the room the entire time?
Good question. I put the 600x to my left (your right) slightly behind me next to lamp. I had to flag off the light because it put too much light on my bald head. There was still more light on my head than I wanted, but sometimes “done” is better than “perfect.” Thanks for engaging.
Hi! I'm looking to buy my young filmmaker some lights for graduation. I've heard him mention the Aputure Infinibar - would you still recommend the MT PRO as a rim light over the Infinibar? I know the latter is more expensive but I want to make sure he has what he needs. Thanks for this amazing video - you provided way more information than both B&H and Aputure. Liked and subscribed. Keep up the great work!
Quick question. I recently purchased the 60x and starting my light kit over from scratch. Next up, NOVA P300c and MT pro. Or would I get more out of the 600c II. The NOVA’s appeal to me is that I can effectively run it to full power with two small rig 212 V mounts. And the 600x only gives me half power effectively giving me a 300W light. 💡 My focus is real estate talking head house tours
I have never owned a nova, but I’m sure it would be great for real estate to light up a room without modifiers. I also hear you on battery power, so I think you are on the right track. Good luck.
I LOVE their lights, I would NEVER install the Sidus app because it will ACCESS YOUR WEB BROWSING HISTORY. Sorry, to turn a light up or down, you don't need my web browsing history. Yes, I am that guy who reads the user agreement and the Privacy agreement. There may be more in there that you would not want, but I stopped reading when I got to that part. That is a deal breaker.
@1001Hobbies: That would be on Android or iOS or both? DO you have more Info on that? BTW: They just released Amaran Desktop App... I believe you will have more control over the Desktop App than over the Mobile App.
I spend the all day looking for a video like that the past 5 days and here it is ! Thanks so much for your advices
Happy to help!

I really appreciate that. Thanks.
Fantastic video and all these lighting concepts are finally starting to click. Great work.
Thanks man. Thanks for letting me know.

Very interesting. I never knew they can’t go upside down. Crazy. Thanks for the tip.
Sorry, I'm a bit confused by 'upside-down', do you mean the socket on top and diffuser at the bottom?
Sorry… meaning lights were screwed into ceiling receptacles - light pointing down.
The exact video I needed! Thanks a ton!
You're so welcome! Thanks for letting me know.

@storybabble Oh apologies, I was unclear. I meant the locker room scene that you showed at the end, not your living room setup.

I compared the Infinibar to the MT Pro in this video. Enjoy! 4 MUST HAVE lights from Aputure and amaran

@@storybabble thank you 😊 so much.
Hi which c stand for you recommend? Feel free to share an affiliate link :) Great video, thank you!
I have C stands from Matthews and Neewer. I prefer Neewer. They are less money and seem to be just as well-made.
Thank you!

That’s very interesting.
Interesting point never thought about that, maybe that is for their marketing team
