Andy Ham I’m normally with you on that but instead of paying $1200-1400 on a new set of KO2s, I was able to pay $1000 for the Black Rhinos and use my “old” Tundra tires that were essentially new still. I’m able to sell the OEMs for 1200-1500 as well... so it just made sense financially (all while clearing some space in the garage which the Mrs. appreciates lol). I personally love the 2019+ OEM forged allloys... not so much with the 17-18s. Personal opinion though.
The armorys are cool too but they don't come in a real black - they are more gray which might not work with some paint colors - so something else to consider. Haven't made up my mind yet. They both look good.
I had two F150’s before getting my tundra. I really miss the ride, space and look of them. I don’t miss being at the dealership and service department all the time. It’s a beautiful truck I’m slightly jealous. I went with the Falken wildpeaks on my tundra and really like them.
Real nice rugged look......the 295's is what I have on the Tundra 34.25 h x 11.6 w........ couple other options without going to a 35.12.50 are the 285-75-18 that are 34.8 h x 11.2 w and 305-70-18 34.8 h x 12 w .......... think I'd go with the 285-75-18 next time, more height and little less width.
Sam DaSham Appreciate it bud, I’m honestly surprised at how well this turned out on the Raptor... I mainly went this route so I could just buy the wheels and leverage what I already had in the garage... figure I could sell the OEMs for a good chunk to cover the new set too.
@@UntamedMotors Nitto brand hard to beat and nothing more important than good rubber on the road and good brakes especially on a long road trip with the family. 👍
The wheels look great. The first things I put on my Ford were the wheel well liners and the mud flaps. Best two things I did before the aggressive tires. Good luck with the move.
Youll miss and Appreciate Wyoming alot more after being in Washington state for a year or two. Hopefully you are going to more of the country side and not anywhere near Seattle and all that mess
Congratulations on your new purchase. Just an FYI since this is a used vehicle: Do you know if the cam phaser issue has been addressed by the previous owner? It is a significant issue. It caused Ford to redesign the cam phasers in mid 2018. I know many 2017 and early 2018 Raptor owners have had their phasers replaced with a redesigned unit with a different part number. Including a friend of mine. Apparently Ford will only do the replacement if you have problems. No problems-no fix. As you can imagine, it is a lot of work, as it involves the teardown of the top end of the 3.5. I just mention it to you as I don't know if you have the extended warranty. The standard warranty on a 2017 is probably coming to an end. Good luck with the Raptor. Nice shape for a 2017.
i was thinking of trading in my tundra for a raptor but then found out they make the oil pan out of plastic, the moonroofs are always breaking and the paint is faulty....so sadly i was turned off. seems like Ford is still cutting corners just to get cars out the door asap.
Good looking wheels on a good looking truck. I had a 2017 F150 also, in lighting blue (not a raptor). Traded it in on a 2019 Voodoo Blue TRD Pro Tundra. Much happier with the Tundra. As you know Toyota has announced they are not going to make the V8 any more for the Tundra. Better get one while you can. I'm thinking you will have this raptor about 6 months before you figure out that the Tundra was and is a better truck. The color for the the 2021 TRD Pro is very nice - I'm sure you will like it. Enjoy your videos!
Love the new wheels! I definitely like the Ridge Grapplers better than the KO2s on any truck. Ive always felt BFGs were overhyped and overpriced for what they are. Having ran 3 different sets ( KOs, KO2s, and KMs) I wasnt impressed with them at all.
Correction* OEM are 315/70/17s
I expect most of your future videos will be shot in the rain. I hear the state flower in Washington state is mildew.
79 thump lol 😂 sounds about right! ...lots of rain videos to come!
Eh... not diggin the ford thing...
Looking forward to you trading this in in October for a 2021 4runner
it could happen...
It may be sooner than that, after it's been to the shop too many times :D Tundra = 0 times / Raptor =
OEM wheels with the ko2’s look best on a raptor to my eyes.

I prefer the wheels you for over the Armory’s
Looks good!
Thanks man. I'm definitely pleased with how this setup turned out.
Wheels and tires look good together, truck is outstanding good luck with your move
Appreciate it brother! Thank you. =]

I'd definitely pass on those wheels. Stock look way better. Like the tires though.

Nice! I’ve heard great things about Falkens. Yeah the Tundra definitely gave me great piece of mind... but the shear fun factor goes to the Raptor!
Untamed Motors I have to agree. I gave you a follow on IG. Judobumps. Thanks for the great videos.

Thanks man. Yeah the liner and flaps are a must imo... good move!
What's your rim width and offset? +12 or -18?
Jay Vee these are 18x9.5 with a -10 offset 👌🏻
@@UntamedMotors thanks for the reply. Subscribed!
Jay Vee my pleasure bud, thanks! 🙏🏼

The Free Raven oh yeah I know... I lived in WA for 21 years. We will miss Wyoming immediately haha...
Gotta get to the DMV and get rid of that Natrona County plate.
Bill P Next week 👌🏻
What a sexy looking truck! I’d for sure get the mud flaps. Any plans to lift the truck, or do you feel the stock ride height is sufficient?
Thanks man! I’m loving it so far.... no plans to lift it as this feel like the perfect height tbh.
Those wheels are gorgeous!!! Congrats dude 😍
Fire Medic Thanks a lot bud, appreciate it!! =]
Untamed Motors so welcome! They may be my replacement for my 4runner TRD OffRoad. They look menacing AF ❤️
Love the raptor and yours looks great! I would prefer the 19-20 raptor wheels over those, but those still look good 💪👌
Thanks man, agreed... I love the 19+ wheels... but this was the next best thing. =]
I don't think the Armory's fit the bolt pattern of the Raptor
They did, they were just out of stock is all.
It looks Awesome! Love 💕 it I love the color of the Raptor. Love the interior
Veronica Serrato Thank you... it’s no army green but it’s definitely my favorite color for the Raptor. =]
Get Black Rhino.. Peak wheels.. incredible look
they do look pretty sleek!
Peanut is so adorable ❤️❤️❤️
No one can beat this beast!!!💪🐲
Thank you! She’s the best! =]
LOL the dog couldn't be bothered by that bird :D
Lol not at all haha...

So you let go the raptor for the tondra then let the tundra back for the raptor again, so the tundra was enough for you ?
That truck is just simply amazing best truck out there! I love those Rhino wheels have much was it? Over all love the wheel and tire set up!
Beautiful wheels!!!!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Are these 18x9.5s?
Louie Nunez Yep! 👍
Lookin good love the blue! I’ve been really diggin my set of Nittos.
How's the airflow for the brakes? Does it ever smell hot?

What happened to the 5 reason the TRD PRO is a better truck then the raptor you did just 2 months ago?
Benjamin ludiker well there’s 6 reasons the Raptor is better. 😉
