    Great wheels. You kept saying negative back spacing. I think you meant negative offset. Backspacing is never negative...only offset isnin terms of postive or negative.

    I ordered the “Armory” wheels, got them and every wheel was chipped and bent. It said it was supposed to weigh 36lbs and I put it on the scale and it was actually 43lbs, big disappointment. Heaviest wheels I’ve ever carried. I retuned them. Nope not again!

      That's a bummer, definitely not my experience with Black Rhino and I've owned two sets of wheels for separate vehicles.

    So with this combo, even when off-roading and full compression, you didn’t get any rubbing with these tires?
    I ask because I have BP-51’s as well, and am looking to get the Goodyear Duratracs in 285/75R16. Most every forum has everyone saying if you go up to 285/75R16’s, even with a 2.5” lift (as the BP-51’s are a 2.5” lift max) you’ll still get rubbing. Thanks for any info man.

    • @squaredawayeveryday

      It really comes down to your alignment tech, if they give a damn, you can get a no rub alignment. You'll also be wanting to do something called sport alignment as opposed to a standard street alignment, most techs should be familiar with this. I've been realigned three times since running this set up, all because of shifting weights on the rig. Two times I used Slee for alignment and they did a fantastic job, no rubbing on moderate to hard trails. One time I got an alignment from a no name shop, I had very light rub at full crank turning right on a roughly a half flex. Hope this helps.

      No issues to this point, I'll do a one year review in a couple months or so. Bear in mind this is my second set of wheels from Black Rhino, to this point I haven't had problems with either set.

      No problems with paint chips or discoloration, they seem to have held up well over winter with the magnesium chloride, salt, mud, snow, etc. I'll give another update on the channel in about a year.

    • @squaredawayeveryday
      @squaredawayeveryday  3 года назад +1

      Hey Jesse, thanks for checking out the channel. I do have a BP-51 suspension lift on the truck which yields me about 2-3inches of lift. The biggest I could go before the lift was 275/70/17 on a TRD Pro 4Runner wheel. The combo looked great and really filled up the wheel well, I had light rubbing on the front left at full turn though... Hope this helps!

    Being in Colorado, What is your experience with chipping of the wheel due to off road activity? I can only assume that the black colour does not go through the metal.
    Thank you

      You are correct, it's just a surface coating. To this point the wheels have held up great! No chipping whatsoever. I'll be posting a one year review of these wheels in the next week or so. Thanks for checking out the channel!

      The powder coating on these wheels are pretty tough, some companies skimp on the powder coating. Black Rhino is not that..

    • @squaredawayeveryday
      @squaredawayeveryday  4 года назад +1

      Hey Jason, when I first filmed this video I had absolutely zero rubbing at full flex. Since then, I've added some stuff to the truck and had to do another alignment, I now have very minimal rubbing at full flex. Long in the short of it, it all depends on how good your alignment tech is and how much time they're willing to commit to a good alignment.
      To answer your question about the wheel size, this is my bad, it is in fact a 16x8; no custom order necessary. Hope this helps!

    I've heard nightmares about certain models of Black Rhino Wheels. I saw an awesome Tacoma on craigslist with Black Rhino Armory wheels and I looked up reviews and a lot of people were saying that the cosmetic bolts found on the wheel are made of cheap plastic and metal that rusts very quickly. I hope they get this sorted out, because I REALLY like the way they look. I am not a huge fan of aftermarket wheels but Black Rhino's designs are so good looking. I hope they up their quality before I need an aftermarket wheel! For someone who lives in Minnesota, I wonder how these wheels would hold up.

    • @squaredawayeveryday
      @squaredawayeveryday  4 года назад

      Hey man, thanks for the comment! This is actually my second set of Black Rhino wheels, the first set I had were the warlords on a different truck I owned. They were a great looking wheel and I had zero problems with them.
      This particular set (The Arsenal), I've been running for about 8 or 9 months. To this point these wheels have been terrific! I live up in the mountains of Colorado and the wheels have held up great to snow, ice, mud, mag chloride, rocks, etc. I've taken these on four separate overland trips this season, all of varying difficulty, and they've been great!
      I plan on doing another review after 1 full year of ownership, and if I find anything less than satisfactory I'll be the first one to say boo; as of course I shelled out the dough and expect a good product. This is in no way a long term review, nor a push for everyone to buy these, just a simple matter of fact, but damn do these wheels look great! Best of luck in your next wheel purchase. Cheers brother!
