I so loved this song..always did I was 7 years old growing up in the mid 70’s..every morning my mum would have the radio on in the kitchen..getting my dad off to work & preparing me & my siblings lunch for school..& this beautiful song would always play & hearing it again takes me back to that little 7 year old boy lying in my bed listening to this beautiful piece & it’s still beautiful❤️brings beautiful memories of how that moment knowing both my parents were in our family kitchen & also humming this song❤️they are no longer here😢but are in the Lords precious hands..im 53 years old now & it’s 11.12.22..sing this song word for word & thank you Mr Murphy for singing this beautiful song Wildfire❤️I tear up when I always hear it..God Bless you Mr Michael Murphy.
I had a grandson who loved this song. He is not with us no more. So sad.

Everytime I hear this i have to wipe away the tears. My fiancee was more of a fan of heavier rick but absolutely loved this song. I can almost hear her sing it although she died a year and a half ago. RIP Maria

I had a white wild pony at age 9…named her Wildfire bec she was not broke yet…she would not let anyone but me ride her, IF I rode bareback without a bridle and saddle..she was a gorgeous pony….thats why I love this song, I think of her often..

I don't recall his voice being so off kilter with his lips when I've watched this in the past, Maybe I've watched a different version?
What is “extended” about it? Clickbait. Pretty sloppy remix. There’s a much better version of this performance elsewhere on RUclips. A few of the fill shots don’t match the music at all and much of it the audio is out of sync with the video. Pretty crappy effort. Like I said, go find the other version, it’s true to the original.
Live versions are usaually different than the original. And sometimes that's a good thing. The original was 4:50 minutes. This version is 7:37 minutes.....which makes this version close to a full 3 minutes longer. That qualifies as "extended" in my book. Also, he does a killer guitar instrumental starting at 5:45 that was not in the original. So, it is indeed "extended" and fantastic to boot.
