@@dannyboyd1299 Concrete surface offers less friction than natural soil surface which increases flooding. Might want to do some research before laughing this off.
The biggest problem is the cities and counties are not doing proper maintenance on the storm drains and canals. Tidal drainage is also a big concern. At high tide, the water is going to rise...

Keep building. These idiots in the city / county commission keep allowing it. Of course…most of them are developers or are tied to the developers somehow.
People needs to be inside when it rains. Just out riding around for nothing, not like they working. State needs to close restaurant and stores so people can stay off the road.
Instead of fixing the roads an the sewer systems they ready to build houses and apartments y'all know Florida been hot for the last 8years people been flocking down here and plus GLOBAL WARMING
It NEVER ceases to amaze me how STUPID people survive. Driving your HOT engine through COLD water and get mad when they end up at the shop because they cracked their engine block. Electronics don't like water either. 😒🫤
Floridians aren’t the smartest people I’ve met. I don’t know why they find floods surprising when most of Florida is near sea level. I lived here for 3 years and it amazes me how dumb people are here.
TOO MUCH DEVELOPMENT NOT ENOUGH DRAINAGE INFRASTRUCTURE!
TRUE, I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK ,LEFT MY HOUSE BY 9:39AT NIGH,I WAS SO SCARE. LOOK LIKE DRIVING IN THE RIVER.
Most of Florida is near sea level. Flooding is normal here.
Absolutely too much building is right. Concrete doesnt absorb water. All about greed.
Lol yeah that's it, concrete 🤣

True,so scary driving in the water, specially at night, too much building.
St. Petersburg was flooded everywhere yesterday.
St Pete is near sea level. So…..of course it would flood
And we are paying such a big taxes in Hillsborough , that’s a shame . Paying over 7.000$ at year, for what ??property taxes are a scam
Couldn't agree more with you.
Where's the tax money going? Lower the taxes if not providing the services.

No new phenomenon. It's been flooding in these areas the last 35 years or more. 😮
More! 5th generation native to the state of Florida. We were a lot more soggy than these. Below Tampa and Orlando was swamp land.
3.5 inches? That's nothing.
Lies try 3ft
I've lived in the Bay area for 40 years. It's always been like this. Some areas flood. We deal with it.
My street has never flooded like this i have been here 16 years
23 years. These new yorkers don't know what to do. They'll be gone soon, leaving nothing but a huge mess to clean up.
A street flood is normal. Driving through it and destroying your car is on you.
@@KristinaDisney777some New Yorkers have dealt with flooding back in NY before, so for some it isn’t a big deal.
SO SCARY DRIVING IN THE WATER,NO WERE TO GO
Time to stop building buildings and work on the drainage infrastructure😮😮😮😮😮
Here's an idea, STOP BUILDING, leave the natural beautify Florida once had come back, people can move somewhere else. Stop
The lack of retention ponds is the real issue
love it, get these people out of here

People ask why do you think you need a Jeep or similar to be your car. A Jeep or similar can get through the water - they sit up high.
Government trying play God with the rain crystals again
South Tampa has been a rain problem for years. Nothing much has changed.
Now 3.5 inches is alot.
Maybe stop building in swamplands ? 😬
Don't buy a used car any time soon...
A lot of water came down fast.
Same thing in Jacksonville , Florida too.
Mother nature strikes back.
Keep building. These idiots in the city / county commission keep allowing it.

3 inches? I wonder what 6 or 8 or god forbid 9 INCHES would do (_O_)
Here's a thought! Quit building! Asphalt can't absorb rain. Grass and trees can!!! Stop building!
We are lucky didn’t get the last hurricane 😂

Where the mayor?
How about doing leavies
We demand you fix the drains....ok, we'll raise taxes...hold it, you're not raising my taxes.
