Need help I'm at a loss here and I think you are the master here. I'm trying to bring this 2005 toyota tundra 4.7 back from the dead. I got it with a blown engine and bad gaskets. Got an engine from a junk yard with supposedly 52k miles. It had been in a collision and the water pump inlet was broken so I did water pump and timing while I had the engine out.
Everything thing seemed to go as smooth as an engine replacement job could go... up until I fired it up the first time.
The engine smoked bad (white) from the exhaust and ran pretty horrible I believe do to bad gas this think it’s been sitting for a year. Scanner showed multiple misfires on cylinders 1, 3, 5, 7 and 4. I thought timing had jumped a tooth or something so I took it apart, reset the timing and put it back together. Everything is normal in timing I have removed and installed this engine thanks to your videos!🫶🏽
It is smoking less, but runs smooth for couple seconds and then sounds like crap and it has the same codes. I'm not sure what else to check that can be causing misfires on all the driver side cylinders. I'm just going in circles now and need some outside insight. Something that will help:(
