    If the vegans and the paleos are the Capulets and Montagues, then coconut whipped cream is the Romeo and Juliet that alone can reunite them in peace.

    Just made this, and it came out very good. I noticed certain brands of milk must have more fat. I used Thai Kitchen coconut cream and there was no liquid in it when chilled. Try this brand

    I tried it, but it didn't work for me.
    My can was actually chilled a couple of weeks, so I felt safe.
    1. I didn't even get half of the cream in my can, that you did.
    2. I whipped it and it was extremely grainy, so I kept on whipping, finally there was more water separating, so I guess it was like when you Whip dairy cream too Long, you will get butter and buttermilk :-)
    So it just didn't work (and yes, it was full fat, not a "light" product). Basically no harm done, I now have coconut-butter and more coconut milk :-)
    But, a little disappointed it didn't work out to be a coconut whipped cream. It looked so easy in your video.
    I will try once again with a can of coconut cream. Curious if that works out.

    If you can't fit your bowl in your fridge, (I sure can't!) You can take a larger bowl, fill it halfway with ice, and put a metal bowl inside that to whisk in. You might want to put the larger bowl on a kitchen towel to keep it from sliding around on the counter.

    I started making coconut whipped cream at home after getting addicted to the "So Good" coconut whipped cream brand. When I make it, it's not bad, but it doesn't taste as good as the 'So Good' brand because they are able to give it a certain zest so that it tastes like dairy whipped cream. Any suggestions apart from adding more sweetener having it taste like the "So Good" brand?

    • @Downshiftology
      @Downshiftology  5 лет назад +2

      Yes, theirs definitely has more sweetener in it. And that's also due to the commercial processing.

      Evadne Rock hi, there is still a lot of water content in coconut cream so you will still need to chill the coconut cream to separate the water and actual coconut. you’ll probably have less leftover water, but whipping coconut cream itself won’t whip into a thick and fluffy whipped cream. hope this helps!
