If the vegans and the paleos are the Capulets and Montagues, then coconut whipped cream is the Romeo and Juliet that alone can reunite them in peace.
Your video was so clear and concise. You provided all the necessary info in such a short time. The video looks great, too! Thanks, I liked this very much. Looking forward to more!
Just made this, and it came out very good. I noticed certain brands of milk must have more fat. I used Thai Kitchen coconut cream and there was no liquid in it when chilled. Try this brand
Coconut cream and coconut milk are different.
Open the can upside down to remove the water - makes it slightly easier. This cream is yummy :)
Yes, or you could also flip the can upside down in the fridge
I made this today adding maple syrup as sweetner and it was yummy perfect
I recently discovered the joy of full fat coconut milk and i literally just had fruit over a scoop of chilled full fat coconut milk and omfg I will never look back lol.
Had no idea that the coconut cream needed to be chilled before using it! Also love your kitchen setup!
You're actually chilling a can of full-fat coconut milk, to get that creamy goodness! Thanks for the kind words on my kitchen! :)
@@Downshiftology how much fat does full-fat coconut milk contain? mine is 20%
@@Downshiftology p
yep
I put the honey in first and the coconut separated into tiny globules . Everything was cold and there was no water. Maybe too much honey too? Any hints?
I used coconut cream and it worked wonderfully. There was very little water left in the can - maybe 2cm or less. It whipped great. thanks ❤❤❤
If you add a bit (one fourth tsp of xantham gum ) you can use the whole can of coconut milk with liquid!
Thank you so much for this great tip!
Great tip about chilling the coconut milk! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for subscribing! :)
What an amazing first video!! I absolutely love it!
Thanks so much Renee - I greatly appreciate it! And LOVE your videos as well. xo
thanks for this. I have a lactose-intolerant friend and I want to make him something special. I had NO idea the can had to be chilled before whipping!!
Great first effort. I'm not suprised. Love your recipes. MORE, MORE. MORE!!!
More videos are coming! :) I'm always SO grateful for your support Jodi! xo
All deserved. You make gorgeous food!
I tried it, but it didn't work for me.
My can was actually chilled a couple of weeks, so I felt safe.
1. I didn't even get half of the cream in my can, that you did.
2. I whipped it and it was extremely grainy, so I kept on whipping, finally there was more water separating, so I guess it was like when you Whip dairy cream too Long, you will get butter and buttermilk :-)
So it just didn't work (and yes, it was full fat, not a "light" product). Basically no harm done, I now have coconut-butter and more coconut milk :-)
But, a little disappointed it didn't work out to be a coconut whipped cream. It looked so easy in your video.
I will try once again with a can of coconut cream. Curious if that works out.
Did it work? Exact same thing happened to me
Yeah this seems to happen half the time Ive tried it
Great video! It was really easy to understand and you had good camera angles.
Thanks Diana! I really appreciate the feedback and kind words! :)
Well said, Diana. Her video production is also solid :-)
The way you explain and make the videos is so nice and easy to follow . Thank you so much and definitely i will try it tomorrow:)
So glad you enjoy the videos Jeanette! Enjoy the coconut whipped cream. :) x
If you can't fit your bowl in your fridge, (I sure can't!) You can take a larger bowl, fill it halfway with ice, and put a metal bowl inside that to whisk in. You might want to put the larger bowl on a kitchen towel to keep it from sliding around on the counter.
Thank y'all so much dearest 🌹
Y'all such an inspiration 🥰
Appreciate y'all from the bottom of my heart 💟
Be Blissful Eternally 🙏👼🌈
Thank you. My next batch will be perfect. I previously haven’t had success and now I know why!
Hope this video helps Katja!
I love the herb garden behind you! where'd you get that?
Thanks Amelie! I actually don't have that one anymore as I've moved. But I will have a video on herb gardens in the future. Stay tuned! :)
IKEA carries this idea
Great video! The coconut cream looks delicious and I love your herb garden
Thanks Rebecca! :)
Making it right now!❤
I know this is a long shot but why not just use a can of coconut cream? Not coconut milk? I'm very interested to know.
Yes, same question. Other recipes say to use a tin of coconut cream
love coconut whipped cream!
It's the best!

This is great, thank you!
great video ,i love your channel
Thanks so much!
Great video....thank you! You mention that everything needs to be chilled - is that true for the honey as well. Thinking that would make it crystalize.
I personally wouldn't use granulated sugars. Powdered sugar only or liquids...unless you want gritty whipped cream :(
I started making coconut whipped cream at home after getting addicted to the "So Good" coconut whipped cream brand. When I make it, it's not bad, but it doesn't taste as good as the 'So Good' brand because they are able to give it a certain zest so that it tastes like dairy whipped cream. Any suggestions apart from adding more sweetener having it taste like the "So Good" brand?
Yes, theirs definitely has more sweetener in it. And that's also due to the commercial processing.
Yes plz herb garden diy love your channel

Hey i loved your video. Does coconut whipped cream tastes like coconut?
I love the herb containers behind you! Where can I find that?
Hi there great video I agree with the previous comment you had all the information down. I originally was going to ask how long would it keep in the fridge but you want to do that in the video so thank you but I do have a question if you know, possibly or anybody else which would have the most highest calories dairy cream like whipping cream or the Coconut cream. If somebody could please answer that that would be awesome and thank you in advance.
Thanks for the video, Lisa. I will surely try it. :)
Wonderful! :)
Yummy. Thanks for sharing ❤️🥥
Have you ever used the appliance that makes the coconut whipped cream spray from a can like the ones you get at the store?
Looks good!
Would it hold up in cake frosting w/ butter & powdered sugar??
Genius!!
What if I use pure coconut cream?
Will it work the same for canned coconut cream?
Yes, just made it and it was perfect
WoW! Thank You
Thank you!!! I appreciate this!!!
You are so welcome! 😊
I have full -fatted coconut cream; how much of this chilled treat do I use?
Love it thank you 🙏🏼💕
Great video...TYFS!!! 💕
You're welcome!
Can you make butter out of coconut cream?
Thank you
Why does it need to be chilled? What happens if it isn’t chilled?
the world blows up.
Nice
I did this with sugar free jello to make a Jello Desert came out great
Awesome!
Perhaps if you add a bit of unflavored gelatin, the coconut cream will stabilize nicely.
Can all coconut milk (in a can) be consumed without cooking or heating? Or only certain brands?
Oh darn a.ready started lol and didn't chill bowl good idea though
great first video,will definitly try!
Thanks so much! I hope you enjoy the recipe! :)
That looks yummy 😋
i love it 😍
Is it sweetened or unsweetened? I got both to try just in case!
Can we use coconut cream instead of milk?
Is it a good idea to put on top a pavlova?
Does this work for canned coconut cream too?
Can I whisk it by hand ?! Thanks
Love your videos
Wait, ive placed my cans in my fridge for weeks and they never separated like that, nor got cold enough that the milk hardened.
Are you sure youre not placing the can in the freezer???
Can we omit the vanilla extract are is it mandatory we use it
▪️
NOPE. VANextract IS MANDATORY.
🟥
GREAT!
8 oz cup, coconut milk, cocoa mix, stir. let set in fridge for 2 hours.
What to do if your can doesn't separate after chilling it for a couple of days?
Make sure to read the full blog post on my website, linked in the video description box. I do mention that certain cans can sometimes be problematic.
How long can you keep it in the fridge? Thank you!
I'd only keep it for a couple of days in the fridge.
Downshiftology Thank you!!
Blessed Goodnight
Can't I just use coconut cream itself instead of coconut milk?
Evadne Rock hi, there is still a lot of water content in coconut cream so you will still need to chill the coconut cream to separate the water and actual coconut. you’ll probably have less leftover water, but whipping coconut cream itself won’t whip into a thick and fluffy whipped cream. hope this helps!
Can i use homemade coconut milk please reply
It's best to use the canned version as you need it to be super creamy!
@@Downshiftology Ok Thanks
Can you use heavy whipping cream to name coconut whip
we dun have many choices of coconut milk/cream in where i come from.
I got my coconut milk which is 18g of total/100ml. would that be ok?
Also do you have another suggestion what to do with the remained coconut liquid other than use that to make a smoothie? Could I use that to replace water when I bake?
Many thanks
I use the left over coconut liquid in baking cakes instead of milk. It works great :-)
Bring Your Book to Life good to know that. thanks 😊
Looks thick, how do they get coconut cream in the spray can to be so fluffy?
▪️
You asked that. I didn't.
You did.
🟥
Can you whip the coconut cream like heavy cream to make a base for ice cream?
▪️
No.
But you can.
🟥
I tried and it failed, so gonna try again but with the cream in the freezer. Fridge wasn't enough.
And obv not putting a can straight in the freezer. Idk if coconut milk would expand or not but not risking it.
Love your videos, so inspiring 💕
Thanks so much Samantha!
Yes OMG thank you
Hope you love this coconut whipped cream 😃
@@Downshiftology im very excited. My CC milk is in the fridge as I type.
My whipped cream didn’t turn out foamy and creamy as yours. I used the biona organic coconut milk brand and left it in the fridge for 2 days. End results were bit watery and had mini bits. I whipped it little longer because it would not breakdown. It wasn’t bad but no where as good as your final product. HELP please 😬
Hi, My milk didn´t separated I used can coconut milk, is there a reason? should I placed in the freezer?
Hi there! Did you make sure your coconut milk came from the fridge and wasn't sitting at room temperature?
@@Downshiftology yes I left it like for a week in the frigde, don´t know what happened.
I accidentally opened the can before the cream came to the top. I transferred everything to a glass jar… it won’t work now will it?😢
Could I just buy coconut cream , add sugar and whip it ? 😐 can it still work ?
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
It's very delicious I crashed my strawberries and put them in it so tasty thank you
How could you take the cocont cream
Can I use the whipped cream in my hot chocolate?
