This is a FANTASTIC video. No other ecommerce guru has addressed this so far in any of my studying of how to run a web store. I have even seen people in facebook groups complaining how no one is buying and no one asked if they had their settings for"purchase". I so wish I had not wasted my education budget on other teachers for this year. I can't wait for next year (or a lucky one in a million "results not typical" ad campaign) so I can buy your program and learn all the stuff left out of what I got from the over priced nonsense I paid for.
Hey Chris, Love your videos, you have significantly shortened my learning curve. I hope you see this and are able to shine some light on the following: When testing multiple creatives for the same product (attempting to identify optimal creative). Would you recommend creating a single ad set with the different creatives inside, and let FB allocate budget accordingly, assuming that FB are allocating budget to most effective ad. Or create one ad set per ad and use the engagement data to identify which was most effective? Thank you again, really appreciate your content. Edward
Thanks, video help me a lot. I was using ATC with this product I’m testing and all I got was a bunch of add to carts with no purchase. This explains a lot!
Love the videos Chris, this has definitely helped me understand the ad structure a lot more. I finally have my store completed and a product ready to test. I have made a video with just pictures I got from the product page, and this is the point at which I have a block. I’m worried that with no human interaction with the product it won’t do good. Do you think that will be an issue? Thanks for the great content and I can’t wait to save up a little more the get your course.
Pictures can work, I'm running a carousel ad that's doing a steady £200 a day profit but videos are more engaging and do convert better if done correctly. The only way you will know if it is working or not is to test it!
Great and unique content always. Do you think products like men's watches or ladies watches work on your strategy (PPE+95%VV LLA)? or solving problem products are better? Earlier I had a watch, which was a winner using other strategies.
That's a great value as always, Great! I wanted to ask you, Chris, as I am a bit confused about this one. I run PPE to reach 100K impressions (you mean on one video, I believe so) and at least 3k-7k of 95% watched video audience. You have mentioned that it could take 30£ worldwide and 60£ e-packet to reach it. I run CBO-ppe, I run 3 picture ads (picture ads are just for my own testing of thumbnails) and 2 video ads, so 2 campaigns. One PPE video ad has 8 relevant score while others 5-6 relevance score (but they still taking money away from the main performing video). One of my picture ads has 10 relevance score (so thinking about trying picture ad for purchase objective as well). When you say 100k impressions (to create lookalike audience) I believe you mean 1 video ad to reach that number, as you can't create lookalike audience simultaneously from 2 videos, can you? Therefore should I kill those PPE ad-sets with lower relevance score as FB is wasting some money on them as well? Thanks in advance if you help me with this one.
The 100,000 impressions is just a rough guide, as long as you get 3,000-7,000 95% VV then you will be good to go. I don't tend to look at relevancy, I just look at results.
@@ChrisWane Thank you, I just found out that when I want to create lookalike audience it takes the video from my library and if I used the same ID for all video - ad-sets then it takes all 95% watched audience from over all ad-sets, that's amazing.
Another Great video Chris, very informative. Do you have any videos on landing page optimisation? I seem to be getting a lot of clicks on my PPC ads but no conversions.
I enjoyed watching your videos, they're humble and very informative. I wanted to ask have you ever scheduled delivery based on time? If having data that shows specific countries performing the best during specific times, and always die later on at night wasting your budget, have you ever narrowed in on the best performing times of the days?
@@ChrisWane Oh okay. I've noticed my conversion rate is better by 2-3 % when europe is awake. Once they sleep, the USA are my only customers and the CR drops lower. So the majority of my adspend after europe falls asleep is almost break even. Instead if it spent all daily budgets on europe it might be a more profitable day.
Hi Chris Great input. I have launched 3 products and I got a lot off clicks on my videos but no purchase. I killed the ads after 3 days. 2 questions was that the right thing to do as I did not get one sale. 2)Should I have re targeted those viewers who had engaged on my video with something like discount? Would appreciate your answer!
Hi, what if I still have a cold pixel and it is marked in red, and tells me if I choose a purchase as a conversion that I might not have any purchases, then what? "if you chose this conversion you may not have any results" Thank you for your answer

@@ChrisWane I understand, what the break even cost is. I'm just interested in what is a average profit margin for a re-target of ATC and ICO. Thank again for answering all my questions. I really appreciate it.
I've a question. If we move from a PPE straight into a conversion purchase (skipping traffic and ATC ads), Facebook will tell us that our ad may not be optimized because our pixel did not receive any activity in more than 7 days. Do we just ignore it?
Hi i am from india we here to remove dropshippers exclude who match interest dropshipping. I have created an source audience in which i excluded dropshipping intrest. My question when running ad for 1% looaklike audience, do i need to again exclude who match dropshipping.
Thank you for this great video! Would be great if you can make a video about how to dropship in the UK. What payment methods are the best, taxes, how to register a company, currencies etc... Thanks!
Dropshipping in the UK is just like any other country, I just use Shopify's defauly payment gateway and Paypal. When it comes to taxes and registering business I'm not qualified to give advice on that so you will need to get an accountant to help you out.
Hey Chris! #1 When you're running a PPE to gather data to 100k imps, does it make sense that FB is only spending in countries like Turkey/Saudi Arabia etc when your audience is epacket countries? (I'm assuming they're targeting the cheapest traffic source). Just wondering if this is the case for you as well? #2 The LAA that you create afterwards targeting Top 4 wouldn't be affected by this traffic source you got during PPE correct? There used to be a lot of debate when i was reading.. where people would say that you shouldn't do WW but go with epacket or tier 1 countries instead etc. Thank you in advance!
Hey there! Yes Facebook will optimise to the countries that are giving you the lowest cost for your objective. The LAA you create for the top 4 countries should be based on the interests of the people who watched your video so when you run your conversion ads to those 4 countries it won't matter which country the PPE data was collected from. Using epacket or T1 countries in your PPE campaign will yield higher quality data but it will be slighty more expensive as well.
I'm trying to dropship clothing items. Is a PPE campaign to get VV still ideal? In the case that it is, would a slideshow of pictures suffice for a video?
Hi, yes you can still do PPE to get VV's. A slideshow can work but an actual video will perform better. Just test different creatives to find out what works!
Interestingly Facebook recommends you start with a conversion objective that you get 50-100 of without any ads moving up the funnel, but I've found the same thing as you where I only get people who get to that part in the funnel but don't go further most of the time. Though Purchase I can only get 2-4 sales and then it dies out all the time, even leaving it 3 days after the last sale - do you see that as well for some products?
Does direct selling to cold audiences still work well, assuming you get the targeting and product right? Or do you recommend warming up and filtering audiences with PPE and videos first?
Hi Chris. I saw recently that a Facebook 'guru' was recommending using countries such a Thailand, India, etc. in order to get lots of cheap LIKES as a way to gain social proof on new posts and to then leverage off of that social proof using a either traffic or engagement campaign. Have you any thoughts on that type of strategy?
Does your 95% VV LLA audience work well? I tried with VV campaign with get those views for LLA, but in the end LLA audience based on the views didn't perform well at all. I guess that LLA audience off of those views consists of people that are also likely to watch the video instead of purchasing. Do you not think so? And why do you use PPE campaign to get 95% VV if you can run VV campaign and get those 95% views way faster and cheaper?
Chris ive tried to use your strategy of VV and LAL's but i have 2 questions if you don't mind: 1-if i go for tier 1 or epacket and i want to create a LAL's of 95% i need 3000 views from the same country, wouldn't it be better to create different adsets for each country and use CBO? 2-How much usually it costs to reach 3000 95% VV on average the video im using has a lot of engagement and high relevance score, however i only have 95% VV in one country as the budget spreads (im doing only $25 budget on that campaign, but not sure if i should just increase it to 50)?
1.Not really because that will just cost more in the long run. You don't need 3,000 from the same country you need 3,000 overall from every country combined. 2. With worldwide targetting usally within £30, epacket could be up to £60. All depends on the length of the ad and how engaging it is
