Velos is a One-Off 73′ Tanton racing sailboat designed by Yves-Marie de Tanton who with a 50 year designing and manufacturing resume has earned his place as a legendary yacht designer and builder.. Velos has spent the last couple of decades piling up the Trophies as she went head to head with the world’s racing elite. She has beaten many of the world’s best racing yachts and has won the ST. Francis Yacht Club Big Boat Series in San Francisco earning her owner a beautiful and coveted Rolex Submariner. Velos is still a competitive campaigner but would make an amazing cruising boat for someone who wants to sail the world and do it with grace, style and SPEED! Her owner would love to see her go on to more glory, whether it be chasing down more Trophies or onto some incredible cruising adventures…

Scott, enjoy hearing from some of the crew of the boat to hear the nuance of how it performs. Keep it coming

Cool boat. I sailed on Condor an Andrews 68 I thought we we were pretty comfy. This is Cush inside. For us old guys a lot can be said racing like this. Old school.

I believe she was built as Desperado by Composite Technologies in Belgium. Only the second boat we built, two maxis in 12 months as a follow on the the Jobert Nivelt Cote D'Or built for the 1985 Whitbread.

Hey, I sailed across the Atlantic with Ian Storer in 1986, on a Swan 46 called Anse Chastanet, Majorca to St Lucia via Madeira. Still remember the trip like it was last week. Good times...

it is really disappointing that we don't get more views and ultimately that is why we will get to a point where we no longer do these videos. a lot of work, and other than a small number of you who like them, we don't have enough of you and we spend a lot of money making them and make virtually nothing.

Scot I'll never own a boat that grand but i do have a really neat boat that can be single-handed and she has some of the attributes of Velos in my twisted mind. Similar bows and my hull carries full beam into the quarters and stern like a non IOR hull. How does a minion email Scot?

Just found this channel and coming from the eastcoast it is cool to see some hot westcoast boats and looking forward to more.
But wish you guys would kill that intro (though I am sure someone put in a ton of work) they are only self serving and the reason why "skip the intro" was one of the best revived software launches from Netflixs, because people know who you are and if they don't, they can look at your about me section if they are really that interested.

this is a much better format than the earlier Anarchy features, it was very pretentious and snobbish.

IOR wanted weight concentrated in the bow? Amazing. No wonder you were always seeing those things stuffing the bow, death-rolling and broaching. Tsk, tsk. I bet they didn't put _that_ in the brochure.
