lol ive had the same experience; I don't remember much from childhood due to a stroke but i can vividly remember Finn's face from asventure time when the one droplet of water landed on him because I had the same fear but it was so funny that it ended my phobia
I love this episode, it’s funny how Drake could actually get out. You can visibly see him fitting through the window but faking like he can’t. He was legit stopping himself with his arm.
Something about hearing this dude nonchalantly explain the plots to episodes of shows I haven't watched in 15 years scratches an itch in my brain I didn't know I had
I think the best part about this whole thing is that Josh, despite being "the smart one", never had the bright idea to just use the power drill again. Power drills have a reverse setting lol
When I first heard what you said about people quoting this episode til this day, I was like "alright that's a bit excessive" and not even a minute later I am corrected 😂 I say "don't tell me what to do" in reference to this episode quite literally everyday! Lol well played sir
It’s crazy how many other moments that aren’t remembered are also funny. Them alternate sticking their head out the door calling for Megan had me rolling
Dude as I looked closely, Josh had a screwdriver on his belt. He could have just done it manually. It would have been a mother to get those screws out but he could have done it.
I was a toddler when this episode came out but i remember watching the reruns on nickelodeon and it's still one of the funniest episodes I've seen (in kids/teen comedy shows)
6:04 I think the pre episode bits may actually take place after the events of the episodes themselves… in other words Josh is now more terrified of crossing Megan after seeing how far she’ll go in getting revenge
I love how to this day nobody even questions why the treehouse would have a door in the first place or how you would even get up and down it with no ladder.
I remember 8 years ago my friend and I were working at the shoe stockroom at our first jobs doing some cleaning and organizing of the shelves the shoeboxes would be placed in and I suggested we play that improv game that Drake and Josh play in this episode. We made it through the alphabet three times before we moved on to talking about something else while we worked. I got it from this episode and yeah I can say it deserves its place as an iconic episode.
16:23 nah she is responsible for what happened by being psrt if the issue as well did nothing to prevent what happened too. As well she shoukdnt just get away with it when she was on it too. Then how she treated those 2 in the episode was unfair which where if u think about it, they were literally almost done with the whole tree house and could literally move on with their day that moment. Yet she wants to be petty knowing full well her life isnt over about some dumb party, they she isnt even missing but could gone late regardless. If she just give them what they needed to finish up. But here is the thing, she does know if the parents comes home early or just come home in general, she would be many times more in trouble for tje bs she was doing, she didnt helped them at all, let them stsrve to eat raw meat, purposely let them get stuck there. Yeah no. If the parents hear all about this after wondering where they have been, tjen hesring they were stuck there for a long time whole she didnt helped them at all, then ues she is going to be more in trouble but for a justified reason. Just saying u are kinda mossing the point
I think it makes perfect sense why the boys threw Megan under the bus. She constantly is messing with them and never gets in trouble for it bc their parents are kinda dumb and gullible so obviously when she finally does get in trouble, even if it wasnt her fault, they're not gonna come running to defend her lol
This disappoints me because he failed to mention the part in the beginning were after Drake and Josh promise to fix the treehouse Josh tells the kid to play with his RC truck. The kid plays with it for all of 2 seconds before a chuck of wood from the destroyed treehouse falls on it breaking it and sending the kid back into tears.
Another episode that is sorda like this is the one where they were trying to go to the wedding and they get stuck on the side of the road, end up getting mugged, and then light the car on fire
Blind man here. Had vision when this episode came out. Yep, can still visualize Josh's face in that scene.

Classic meme from 2017
I think the best part about this whole thing is that Josh, despite being "the smart one", never had the bright idea to just use the power drill again. Power drills have a reverse setting lol
In the series josh is known to freak out first, figure stuff out later so that explains the lack of initial logic
Also when he did think of it, megan unplugged the drill.
or idk he could have brought the power saw inside with him when they got in
@@nathanvosburgh718 He thought the door was already cut out so there would have been no reason to have brought it up there in the first place

The funniest part & highest point of the episode was Craig & Eric's interaction with Megan and then the twins.
Josh could have lied to Megan saying he needs the power saw to cut another window 🪟
My question was though, why not just unscrew the wall. they legit did it from the inside. all they had to do was unscrew it.

The GOAT episode. Maybe in the entire history of Nickelodeon. I met Drake Bell and he said this has become his favorite of the series too
I love how Eric Cartman just got worse as a child in later seasons of South Park
